  • Brilliant. And they use one of my favourite songs in the background! Sun Hands by Local Natives. I love this episode and I love Neil Gaiman.

  • I'm pretty sure that Neil is secretly the twelfth Doctor, and this was an attempt to steal his TARDIS back.

  • "I can smell it!"... :D 'cause we all probably smell like petricor! Thank you Mr. Gaiman for expanding our vocabulary without us realizing it! :D It's like Silas's teaching! :P

  • I pefered Love and Monsters to this LOL

  • The episode was a good one THEY NEED TO KEEP HIM ON AS A WRITER!

  • What a BRILLIANT episode! They must get him back to write for series 7...

  • Tell me he has a secret cameo.

  • I was left speechless. First episode I had to rewatch 3 times in a row.

  • Fantastic Episode. I was so excited when I had heard that he was writing an episode, then with the previews. However nothing prepared me.... I sat down in awe wondering why anyone hadn't thought of some of these ideas before and loving every min. of it.

  • This episode was AMAZING!

  • All I have read of Gaiman's is the wonderful Sandman comics, but after this brilliant episode of Doctor Who, I may have to pick up every book the man ever wrote! =)

  • And yes..."House" is Omega

  • GAIMAN RULES. If fans haven't read his stuff....go do so. Then pick up a copy of Good Omens that he co-wrote with Terry Pratchett (Diskworld).

  • The Doctor dying is a part of a plot to destroy Omega

  • @Meshcraft oh fuck you! why are you spoiling the episodes to come you dick!

  • @scousereddy2468 Ah don't worry I won't expose that "house" is really Omega and that the Doctor's death is an elaborate twist to defeat him. I won't expose that at all. So don't worry.

  • @Meshcraft you are a fagot man! i dont even watch this show that much so you count on me to kick your ass til you shit side ways!

  • @scousereddy2468 you won't be able to do that. Ok no more spoilers. Not even about the labyrinth to get to Omega. No no none of that. And the little girl...who pops out in the alley? Who is she really?

  • @scousereddy2468 Shitting sideways could be useful. It would make paintball so much more fun.

  • @scousereddy2468 Cybermats

  • @Meshcraft ?

  • @scousereddy2468 You remember the Cybermats.

  • @Meshcraft the 2nd reply i wrote to you and find a quote related to not watching doctor who that much! i aint reading your comments no more!

  • @scousereddy2468 Yes you are. You can't resist. I'm not here to flame you. You flamed first.

  • @scousereddy2468 If you have a problem with my comments then don't instigate the situation. Stop antagonizing. "a qoute relating to not watching doctor who"? not sure what you mean by that.

  • @Meshcraft just lets leave it now ok! i cant be arsed with all this arguing! i wont expect a reply!

  • @scousereddy2468 yes you will

  • @scousereddy2468 I predict you will expect a reply and you will come here looking for it. Spoilers.

  • Really, Neil Gaiman should be head writer.

  • Neil also posted some photos of himself on-set... looking pretty much as if he's an undiscovered incarnation of the Doctor (or at the least, another Time Lord).

I've been looking forward to this episode of DW since the first instant I heard that Neil was writing it - seriously, one of my all-time favourite authors writing an episode of one of my all-time favourite tv programmes (that he happens to be a fan of as well)... Anyone else make that sort of "heeee!" noise while grinning insanely?

  • I love the shots of Neil in basically shadow. They couldn't have lit his face up just a bit? Nope, not Neil enough! Rockstar author, I love it.

  • @scousereddy2468 For fans who DIDN'T know all that because they avoid info about upcoming episodes until after they've seen them, that's a massive list of spoilers. Good going. This vid was perfectly innocent and spoiler-free (which is why I watched it). Why ruin it for others in the comments?

  • @Zaranyzerak everything i said i saw in trailers that are shown on t.v but shown on the official doctor who website first but i know how you can be annoyed by this but i just wanted to share the best thing ever!

  • @scousereddy2468 By spoiling all of that on a very spoiler-free video. If people wanted those things spoiled, they would have looked at all of those things you mentioned. Sorry man, not cool. I clicked through to THIS video because Neil Gaiman himself posted on his Facebook specifically that it was spoiler free. But I see you've removed the comment, good idea before less civil fans see it... But enough crankiness! This is going to be one epic Doctor Who episode! Can't wait!

  • @Zaranyzerak i feel the same! my sister and her daughter watched coraline and she even thought it was a wierd yet mind blowing story! only 8 and a half hours to go here in the UK til we say what hes cooked up for us!

  • Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman Neil Gaiman

  • Two loves: Neil Gaiman and Doctor Who...being rolled into one. I think I'm going to have a fangasm.

  • This episode would be awesome even it only includes Neil Gaiman reading his script on camera.

  • its when you realise this is Neil's first Doctor Who episode that you get all shocked - im sure he wrote another DW ep

  • The biggest Egotistagul Ham in the Comic World. When he claimed that he now owns "Miracle Man" after several issues. I never saw anybody that has a foot in his mouth. I won't know how this episode will be like since it has not aired yet. I can accept him as a Who writer if he just have fun with it instead of being full of himself.

One person I want to see doing and episode or 2 is the legendary Alan Moore.

  • @digipeeper lol, you're joking about Alan Moore, right?

Neil Gaiman is one of the most diverse writers in the world, from Sandman and American Gods to Coraline and Stardust, I don't think anyone could match his range. Alan Moore might be equally as good, but he doesn't have the range to be even interested in Doctor let alone write for it.

Just swap the names Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore in your post and you're pretty accurate

  • @Haldered Alan Moore had done 2 Who stories for Doctor Who Magazine and it is a matter of opinion. I tried and can't get into Gaiman. His name is legendary, I fell asleep reading most of his stories and just can't get into it. No I am not joking, what I like about Moore's work is the elements of how real and gritty his work is that reflects real life. No happy endings and nothing is perfect. And no I will not swap it around!!!!!

  • I wasn't around when Douglas Adams wrote Doctor Who so this is my equivalent of that. I can't wait for this episode.

  • That first bit of narration is a BIG spoiler.

  • @davangel how is that a spoiler? It's an expression.

  • @sprunka2gmail Because I know what it's spoiling. You'll see after the episode!

  • @davangel First I thought you might be a wanker for crying spoiler on something that is not, No I think you might be a wanker for for being a spoiler yourself. How nice. It wasn't a spoiler to anyone who has not seen the episode yet, it is just an expression to us. But now, you had to imply that it isn't just an expression. *THAT* implication is the only thing that makes it a spoiler. You, sir (and I use the term lightly) are a royal wanker (and I'm not using that one lightly.)

  • @sprunka2gmail Well, you did ask "how is that a spoiler?" I haven't seen the episode, but put 2 and 2 together.

  • @davangel I apologize for calling you a wanker. It is clear that you are instead nothing more or less than a common troll. That's easy to handle. Buh Bye.

  • @sprunka2gmail p.s. If you don't want spoilers, don't watch videos of programmes that go out *after* the main show airs.

  • old version of Alan Davies?

  • @flaziola Yes, that's what reminded me. Moorcock's been a fan for decades.

  • That's one Confidential I will TOTALLY watch. :D (I usually find them kind of boring - there's never enough of the actors.)

  • Now we need Michael Moorcock to write a Doctor Who episode.

  • @idelaney Ever heard of 'The Coming Of The Terraphiles' ?

  • YAY!

  • Oh, I can hardly wait! Neil Gaiman writes Doctor Who, this has GOT to be awesome beyond words.

  • @SethWreckLollis And lo, It was.

  • Cannot wait!!!!

  • All looks very awkward :D

  • @TheShideh8 Ok. Who the fuck flagged your comment as spam?
