If you read the constitution and the bill of rights and have a basic understanding of history you will see that both documents are anti-British. I'm not 100% positive, but you can't give anyone 18th century firearms to settle arguments since a ton of them are banned for being too large a caliber. I hope this passes and the concealed carry by county that is up for state legislation currently.

Loosening the gun law won't lower crime. There are many ways to lower crime, education, jobs -- changes to the interal structures of society that make people turn to crime. But you can have all the guns you want -- it ain't gonna change it.

i live in Chicago, and i firmly believe we need to reinstate the right to bear guns back into law-abiding citizens.Criminals don't care about the law and they got connections for handguns. We have one of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation (cook county)a.k.a handgun ban yet we have one of the highest crime rates in the country... screw (Daley mafia boss),screw quinn,screw blagoevich,screw mark kirk, screw corruption in ILLINOIS.
