Oh grow up. These politicians have the same ambitions, fix health care, defend the country, provide education, improve education, keep the economy going. Same speeches just tweeked and put on a platter for us. He didn't say he wanted Obama to change his approach he simply said he hoped he FAILED. You don't fail your methods you fail to attempt your goals. The republican party has some of the same goals, it is the approach that was the issue. So instead of you bullshitting yourself get real.

The cost of everything has already gone up. That wasn't on BHO's watch so get real. We are being wiretapped, monitored on the internet, houses searched w/o permission. Tracked at the airports. This was not under BHO. Our government is hiding plenty of information from us and doing everything behind the scenes, lets get REAL about this garbage. I voted for Barack Obama, I volunteered for his campaign. I do have my policy differences with him, for sure, but I really like the guy and I hope he succeeds spectacularly and that he can deliver on his promise to bring prosperity back to our country.
It's clear that Limbaugh cares about nothing but the Republican Party and himself. He's just mad that the country voted against his ideology, and he's taking his frustrations out on us, which proves he is no patriot.

Most elections are rigged unfortunately and obama is not president because we the people decided this.

Maybe I'm a little confused. Obama wants to create jobs, put money in peoples' pockets, end warrant-less wiretapping, provide equal pay for women, healthcare options for everyone, and have oversight and transparency for government. Aren't those things similar to what McCain wanted? Isn't that the reverse of what Bush provided? Not once did he want Bush to fail or McCain for that matter. As far as rigged elections, this isn't 2000 Bush v Gore. People just got up and voted.

I think it's a little more serious than that. Until Obama comes out and takes the socialist stance, I don't think it's fair to declare that he is a socialist or communist. Last time I checked McCain/Obama weren't dramatically different on terms of policy stance outside of war and abortion. So Obama's outline for his plan was struck down because he wasn't Rush's choice. The comment would've been fair if Obama said he wanted to spread socialism. That is a faulty claim IMO

Well, lets see, Bush did the same taking of that money and exhausted our economy. It's just that the rich got richer and the middle class shrunk. That's the reality. Cutting taxes and expanding gov't services when someone has to pay for it. The spread the wealth comment is overused. I want to know by the definition of socialism, which policies he has that hint that he is a socialist.

I think a lot of people simply equate the government taxing people and spending money on stuff with socialism. As somebody who has actually taken the time to try to understand what socialist theory is about, I don't understand it. I think a mixed economy is the best solution, with elements of capitalism and socialism, but unfortunately too many people see the world in black and white to understand that sometimes a compromise is best.

mostly the poor and the so-called "left wingers" supported the pres. policies with their own blood and the blood of their children in Iraq. many of us just sit around and went about daily life without ever thinking bush should own up to all his lies and illegal deeds. we all remained still while he chiseled away at our rights. in the name of the "war on terrorism" we believed it was all necessary. we ALL supported him. so lets support Obama, Rush.

Obama was doomed to fail from the "get go". The liberal/ socialist agenda has failed every time its been implemented. This guy is going to try to "change" America into a welfare state. Just because you disagree with Obama doesn't mean "the fruit is rotten." You mentioned "closed book" and secrecy earlier. Bush had one of the most secretive presidencies since Nixon. One of the things Obama has stressed is that the government should be transparent. The people should know what their officials are doing at all times. And I agree with MSW (though not so much how he said it). This is not the time for divisive speech. Constructive criticism, yes. Not fearmongering or names.

What I mean by "closed book" is President Obamas past. Sure, Obama wants to make our government transparent but, his past is shrouded in secrecy. Some sectors of our government should be secrete. I don't agree with "all republicans do xyz." Certain politicians fuel their agendas with negative campaigning, insults and are generally rude. Whenever anybody does it, its a bad idea. Conservative, Liberal, what have you. If you hope Obama fails, then I hope when he does, its you out on your ass living at an underpass. I never hoped that Bush would fail. I was angry when he did. I am critical of Bush, just like I am critical of Obama. The leader should succeed, and be held accountable.
