As I understand it, that sound is actually music to a Ducati lover. In addition to the dry clutch and open cover, it's also caused because they don't use springs in the valve/cam system because springs could slow the engine down, so it's a mechanical system that clatters a bit. I think it's called a Desmodromic valve/cam system. Desmodromic being a made up word, of course..Google Desmodromic valves.

Not bad, but the dry clutch is louder than the motor at idle before he blips the throttle. Plus i would have thought it would make more power than that, with an 1198 engine and those pipes. Mine has 160rwHP with the 1099cc engine.

@manolis313 SUPERDUKE...... yup, dude, KTM rules ! have the Akra full-system on mine, re-worked forks, superspox , acerbis handgaurds, scott stabilizer, yada, yada. 15,000mi n luvn it. sounds awesome n as fast as my 900rr was. handle better, though, heh. LUV THIS DUCK though.... I SURE don't have the $22,000 to start with, let alone start adding pipes n carbon wheels n stuff, but if I did...... my KTM has about 122ish HP. 167 !?! I'd be in jail in no time, IF they caught me......

i think putting ceramic discs on it it a huge mistake and might end up costing you your life if you ride it on the road.
