Unfortunatly (as most haven't done their research) the "sequel" idea isn't ALWs. The book Phantom in Manhattan is where he got the idea. Do I think he should have made Phantom part two? no! Do I think LND COULD be a good show on it's own, possibly. I think ALW is really trying to drag Phantom as far as it can go... too far. With the horrid version on film, then cut and pasting a Las Vegas version, now a sequel... Time to let Phantom run its coarse, and not ruin it any more then he has
i feel i dont understnd why there is a sequel in the beginning of phantom of the opera you see Raoul alone at the auction house and he gets the monkey U SEE HIM OLD and alone. i dont get why there is a second one if you know what happends to Raoul ?? I dont understand why there is a second one, the first one was amzing and i dont get the need for a second one if you know what happends. I love phantom in general i just dont get why there is a sequel

omg idc if itz a stand alone musical, to me itz a sequel to the original! i love the orignal, beautiful songz...i wont doubt that these new songz would b jus as good! i so wanna go c this musical! the Phantom returnz! yay! <3
they obviously didn't interview the phans that ran out crying because their favorite story had just been ripped to shreds. And the characters completely changed just so it could fit into this ridiculous plot which still doesn't make sense. And alw best work, i think not, two words bathing beauty, need i say more???
i must say that Phantom of the Opera is a beautiful show, and is very clerverly staged! Maria Bjorson was a genius. that is why it has lasted the test of time standing with Les Miserables. I have seen Love Never Dies and i am not fond of it at all. But i don't sit in judgment of people who like it. theatre is a matter of taste, as is any other entertainment.
Don't let the PHANTOM story or its characters be ruined by the desecration to the story within Lloyd Webber's misguided sequel, LOVE NEVER DIES, condemned by theatre critics and PHANTOM fans across the globe.
Visit LoveShouldDie [dot] com to find out the awful truth behind the abominable and unnecessary sequel.
the line paint never dires was not said by the critics, it was actually said because they kept changing scenes and the set builders did not think they would have enough time to get the set ready for opening night
@garrychelsea No, it was coined by the "West End Whingers" during a very unflattering review after they had seen it. Just google the phrase and you will find a link to the very review.
ramin has been off ill, they thought he had flu but had to have keyhole surgery, i hope he gets well soon he is amazing in the show, but having seen it 3 times i think sierra steals the show
a number of songs in love never dies are gorgeous but the story is just silly.

Phantom of the opera is boring and crappy anyways. May as well make the sequel the same thing.
