  • 1:44 someone was all like "shes so quick"

  • impressive no poop on the stadium LOL

  • @DisneyRidesDisneyFun they are probably toilet trained haha

  • This was so cute and funny- the rats are clever!

  • i almost cried looking at their little hands shaking and shivering to get the shot right... wft why do they make me so emotional?!?!??!?! also, maybe was already linked here but can anyone give me tips on how to teach this to my rats (besides having to make a similar playground)?

  • the black rat is better at basketball. lulz

  • Comment removed

  • wow

  • the black rat still plays better basketball then the white rat lol

  • in 2030 we are going to watch Rat Olympic games :)

  • This is so cute! I wish we had gotten to do this in my psychology classes!

  • This class sounds fun!!

  • lol 1:43 made me laugh at the person who said it

  • This is the only sport worth watching. ;-)

They worked and entertained for pellets! LOVE THEM!

  • Nigga Rat.. Basketball in blood..

  • at 41 seconds look how hard that white rat is trying to throw the ball in! I almost died from the cuteness! haha aww

  • just one of the many stupid things we humans have came up with to entertain us

  • SO FREAKIN CUTE!! i love rats, and i especially love them because they are one of the most intelligent animals.

  • I LOVE this!!!!!!!

  • these rats have a better freethrow percentage than Shaq. lol

  • Awesome

  • lol they were spazing at the goal, this is so fun to look at

  • this is better than watching NBA basketball.

  • i have a question, how do you teach them wich one is their own basket?

because for me the easiest will be go in the same basket,

    those rats are so cute.

but i hate wild agresive rats, they are filty and gross.

  • AWWW SO CUTE!

  • No one realize that these rats are food deprived (0:12) and are starving, so they are only "playing" this game as that is the only way for them to get more food and not die. There's nothing "fun" about watching starving rats competing and trying so hard to get more food, especially when the idea behind this is just for show... showing how operant conditioning works in research. Students can learn about that in textbooks without sacrificing the lives of these rats.

  • @FuzzyPeachea firstly... food restricted is not food-deprived...... When you allow lab rats food ad lib, they normally get VERY fat and will over eat. Also, the rats do look well groomed and at (3:08) you can see they are healthy and happy. Food-deprived (or starved) rats would be much more aggressive than that...... :P

  • @FuzzyPeachea Rats will ALWAYS want more food. These rats look healthy, they are just learning tricks for treats, which is totally fine. :)

  • Aww, very cute! ;)

  • rats are the most amazing little creatures

  • Both my rats look EXACTLY like that! They don't play basketball (yet), but I did use behaviorial techniques to teach them a few tricks.

  • Those rats have the same amount of rings as LeBron.

  • Girl: "She's so QUICK!" :D

  • Nice ,this is cool..

  • ok once i showed my mom a trick i taught my rat and she said: "sadly i think i just took a look into your futre" xD

  • @wolfgal99 *future

  • epicness. how the hell did i get here anywyay?

  • I started using this method to train my rats to farm gold for me in WoW.

Next thing I knew they'd deleted my toons, rolled their own, max leveled and were raiding.

  • What the audience does not realise is that the rats were conducting a study on human responses to animal behaviour.

The humans scored fairly low as all they could do was clap and make laughing and whooping noises...

  • Amazing I have no words for that! Rats are very smart

  • The ball is too small.

  • Where can you get this from?

  • los roedores del baloncesto :D muy tiernos :P

  • how do i train them to do this? i mean, do i have to close them in a tank like that with similar feautres so and use my hands to show them how to put ball in basket? could i get some tips please?

  • @1HollywoodStar1 "look like they are in pain"? From their... facial expressions?

  • Cruel

  • @TheRushingWind

    I severely doubt it.

  • @TheRushingWind Shut the fuck up

  • @TheRushingWind yeah, god forbid a couple of female rats should get to play then get treats for playing and attention when play time's over. We all know how rats hate that.

  • @HiddenHeartsCry yeah cus being able to play TOTALLY negates you being locked up in a cage

  • @TheRushingWind Lets set the rats free. Lol.

  • @TheRushingWind Clearly they enjoy it.

  • @pippy1994 so you've asked them?

  • @TheRushingWind how? they love it.Rats are super smart and love things to keep them busy and they love treats :D

  • I love basketball and I love rats. This almost killed me.

  • @1HollywoodStar1 those are only temporary cages, so the rats will only be in there whilst they wait to play basketball, then will probably be returned to their actual cages once the game finished. :)

  • @1HollywoodStar1 we keep our rats at school in those size cages, i think the small cages r cleaner then the big ones haha, but i keep my own rats in big cages, n rats wont do stuff ifn thy in pain, thy actually luv learning tricks and of course getting treats=) you aint gata worry bout em

  • howd thy do this?

  • @antorinu there r training videos

  • How awsome! Rats ftw!

  • I wonder if they had brackets and got frustrated when they lost

  • WIN :D

  • dude rats are very intelligent not dumb at all

  • Really cute!

  • @skate4life7000 correction- 'YOU stupid'- you hate WILD rats. who doesn't? but these are PET rats. ones that have been domesticated. they DON'T show up in toliets

  • @brianab55 I like all kinds of rats.. :C

  • @thedreamer001

Try entering a debate with anyone about Psychologists being stupid. And let's see which side wins.

  • Lol I see that most of you guys have been conditioned really good, enjoy the treats...

  • lol Steve Nash

  • you dont know wat you are talking about anyway. We love them. They're family, and it is a fun sport.

  • shut up thedreamer001 watever

  • @thedreamer001 Dude! Take it easy, lol. I hope you're not seriously spazzing over a college class experiment

  • thedreamer001-you obviously don't understand a lick of psychology and the reason behind conditioning these rats; as well as how conditioning applies to behavior modification. Go read some books before you talk smack on psychology.

  • @thedreamer001 If you erase your post I'll give you a piece of cheese.

  • @thedreamer001 you do realize that these behavioral principles have been researched on humans time and time again? the subfield of applied behavior analysis is dedicated to using these findings and applying it to human behavior in order to improve the lives of people. in fact, this is the treatment of choice to help individuals with autism, as it is the only thing that has been proven to make a difference.

  • @thedreamer001 if only we could experiment on your brain and see if a rat is woking thecontrls

  • Thats really awsome. I would like to do this with my Rat.

  • kool
