I am also about to start learning French and I also have a big understanding and acceptance of other cultures but in this case i think it is you who is narrow minded because U don´t seem to realize that constant dubbing of TV shows might be a reason why so few Germans actually speak English at all!

Oh and btw English happens to be one of the major languages in the world and everyone should learn it!
