The president has got America bent over the oil barrel people if you like it keep going, if not buy electric anything else will just prolong the issue.
The trouble with that is America is spread out as America is so big, and personnel trasportation has become ingrained in the American peoples mindset, but thy could always live closer together, and drive small cars like the Toyota Yaris.
Even the US Energy Information Administration says that out of our current 146 billion gallons of gasoline/year now, we can't expect it to replace even 1 billion gallons/year by 2030.

Only reason we're doing it at all is just to please Iowa, and distract the public from real solutions. Like Ultra Clean Diesels, and Plugin Electric Hybrids.
Amidst rising bloodshed, President Bush has told the Iraqi Parliament they have till the 31st of May to pass a flawed oil law that could give multinational companies unprecedented control of Iraq's oil fields. But some Iraqi leaders are daring to resist - and they need our help.
Let's tell Iraqis the world supports their right to set their own future
Loss of revenue can make large companies, even the auto industries; change their "business model". Sure the government can help with legislation to force them to put out new technology, but the true power is in our hands. Stop buying or leasing new gasoline powered cars for a year. Tell your friends and family to wait a year. See my vids.
eletric cars + more advanced solar energey could be the key to a cars future. As for home heating/cooling/power. Why don't we stop looking at all these new energy resouces as indevisuals? Put windmills is windy places, solar plants in sunny places, hydro plants in wet places... really, theres no reason why we have to depend on oil.
Interesting paradox. The anti-oil crowd decides to get their message "KICK THE OIL HABIT" to as many people as possible...so they sit down at their computers to spread their anti-oil message on the Internet--
--their computers made mostly of plastic - a petroleum-based product.
That's true. Everything comes from oil but there are small things we can all do to reduce energy consumption. Buy less stuff and don't drive huge SUV's and put the thermostat at 78 degrees not 68. These small things can reduce consumption. Something as simple as not smoking cigarretes can help.
The reason fuel economy was lower in 2004 than in 1987 is because people in America individually chose horsepower increases over economy increases. Better fuel economy is available if people want it.
Democrat lies. You liberals are the cause of 911- We need to scrap the constitution to give Bush the power he needs and with the PATRIOT ACT they'll have the power to put all dissenters and anti-Government liberals into concentration and re-education camps. We need to trust our government and we all must sacrifice blood and treasure for this NEW AMERICAN ORDER, our American Empire. 911 is over. Fascism is power. Wake up...the world belongs to AMERICA.
"they'll have the power to put all dissenters and anti-Government liberals into concentration and re-education camps." hahaha preach on!! down with freedom of speech. down with society. lets decline.woohoo
92% on unstable countrys ?!! you wanne know why its on unstable countrys you pice of shits. Cuz oil is makin the country unstable. Reason of the coruption in meedle east is cuz of the oil problem we have oil and cuz of that we cant have a normal life and westerns most take advantage on that....
Or oil companies trying to look pretty in front of the environmental groups. We import about 60% of our oil according to the latest eia estimates. Also, if we had Integral Fast Nuclear Reactors we could completely get away from oil and make hydrogen from those plants. We will not be able to completely rely on solar and wind...they simply cannot meet demand...doesn't mean we shouldn't us them too.
WERE ALL SUCKERS....Did you know that California cannot import Nevada gas because it's the WRONG blend? There are specific blends for specific areas. Wouldn't it be nice to have the cleanest blend for everywere set by the federal gov....no, that would be too easy huh? It's Oil Companies collaborating with Environmental groups.
While the oil issue is a legitimate problem, this video points a lot of fingers out of ignorance and amounts to little more than leftist propaganda. If you're looking for answers to the oil problem, this video has nothing to valid to offer you.
"A legitimate problem"??? Geez, thanks for the gem preacherman777. Don't stick your neck out too far or anything. Your two cents is the last thing we need in a day and age of 40% voter turnouts.
a very good video! no messing around and straight to the point. "so why people do nothing about it ahhh!" it's soo frustrating how people carry on oblivious to these facts!
oil is traded on the open market, and high oil prices means slower economic activity. I hardly believe that the Bush administration has any thing to do with low global spare capacity, and supply shortfalls due to double digit growth in the asias.... its simple economics, less supple (peak oil) more demand = high prices. We saw this coming in 1956, ie, M. King Hubbert.
i live in the U.S,Virginia and the prices of oil right now is $3.29 or close to that i'm from Saudi Arabia and the king of Saudi Arabia King Abdullah lowered the Price of oil now it's 10 cents a gallon in saudi arabia so if you don't like it go live in saudi arabia and save your money!!!
firstly if im correct its more like 60 dirhams per LITRE (not gallon ... 4.5 litres in a gallon)
which is 80c/gallon ... but yeah its still cheap.
But that does not mean it costs that, its been reduced becuase the idiots saudis put their money on the stock market and has crashed some 50/60% in a matter of months.
So, the oil price has gone down to please the idiot people to not go against the even more idiotic Saud family.
Due to America's dependency on oil and oil based products, drilling on Alaska's wildlife preserves seems invevitable. Here is an interview of Bill Clinton conducted by David Letterman which adresses the problem back in 2002.
That was superlative. Even when you're paying attention to politics and the economy, it is amazing how many "big picture items" get lost in the shuffle. This says it all.

To start, go Diesel, since in 2008 new catalytic converters have made Diesel cars legal in all 50 states.
However in the longer term, we should go Electric.
greyfalcon. net/ electriccars.png
Nice part is, even if we run our cars on Coal electricity, it's still greener than a Prius.
(Coal is about 3x worse than Natural Gas)
greyfalcon. net/ electriccars2.png
Electric offers some amazing torque when you have enough juice.
Thats why all trains and drilling equipment are electric.
