  • ever scence last night ive been hooked on emilie autmns poetry its just sooooo amazing

  • There was also this old couple haunting my old apartment when I was around...8 years old. They used to turn on the shower in the middle of the night, mess with the garbage can (the top spins and they seemed to enjoy it) and when ever we tried to watch scary movies, the TV would "mysteriously" shut off. Silly old people. 1 time my friend and I stayed up all night 2 prove tht they were real, and they kept moving my bed and saying "Go to sleep"

  • Yes, I believe in Ghosts. I have had many encounters with them. I once met this old man, named Thomas (according to the paranormal investigators) in the womans bathroom at an old brothel. I seriously didn't want to know why there was an old man in the woman's bathroom at an ex-brothel, but the PI told me anyways. This very old man died while having *cough* "intercourse" with one of the ladies. I found this strange since there were lots of rooms. I was 12 when I met him. He told me "I died happy"

  • I think there is nothing else to add to the two comments above, I'll just say that it's striking how to listen to this and her other poetry and songs moves me the same way, I always send me the same wonderful emotions. The same chills. Makes me cry good tears. So I sincerely thank this girl, 'cause gives me what I need, puts me face to face with my thoughts, reads in my soul.

  • This reminds me of At Gate's Edge... kind of sad, though.

    Love it. <3

  • ...Kind of makes me think of my friends Carlee and Trevor. They were the sweetest couple... And even though Trevor is long gone, Carlee will never let go of him. I'm sure they have moments like this still. :)

  • this song reminds me of my ex-boyfriend, he's always around usually, always there as long as it's convient for him it seems usually, but sometimes, when I need him most it's like he's dissappeared. Yet I still wait for him, and ache for him. He encourages me to find somebody, but at the same time it's like he's always reminding me of the control he once had and to some extent still do.

  • I'm going to recite this during Drama class tomorrow ^^

  • @YaOiFaNgUrL961 Ooh! I performed it for my Drama class last year. I hope you did well ^^

  • this doesn't make me think of ghosts but of peter pan and his shadow. <3

  • I wish that I had a ghost this sweet. I know a boy, but he's still alive and well...

    ....Hmmm...

  • The poem is really beautiful, but to be honest, I don't like the voice so much.

  • @TheEmmilii Ok after listening to some songs of her-I like her voice when she's singing and in other poems too, but here, I don't like it..

  • ghost is my fav poem of emilie atumn sounds so thruthful and real. its funny she admires the ghost more then probably any real living man. which strikes me. and love about this poem...

  • o.o

This was just pure beauty. Emilie is one of my favourite poets :D

    <3 EA

  • I will listen to this a million times.... it will still be as magical as the first!

  • This is my favorite of all of her poems.

  • Automatic chills....simply marvelous.

  • A fantastic poem, it tells a great story. I love her voice, it is lovely.

  • The picture of Emilie is beautiful -3

  • i love this, its almost as like ,the ghost only wants a friend... and she is there.

  • Fearfully romantic!~ The ut' most beautiful poem I have EVER heard. And the instrumental playing in the background! Makes me want to visualize the poem with my eyes closed. Ohh, Emilie Autumn what you do to me!~ <33

  • Wow that was inspiring !!

  • amazing =) thats all.

  • It Reminds Me Of The Phantom Of The Opera !! :DD

  • Very favorite.

  • Probably only poem I've ever heard.

    Love it.

  • @CounterIdentity97 You should open yourself up, poetry is a great world, classic poetry especially and no not all will speak to you but when some do, it is magical.

  • Where were YOU when I searched the sea for a friend to talk to?

  • In a way, I find this very romantic.

  • How sweet

  • I love the words, but.. her voice, her voice makes it all the worth while XD

  • This poem is just so incredibly sweet. Sounds like a lovely ghost to have as a friend.

  • I have an extreme fear of ghosts... it's the cause of my insomnia and sometimes i have full on panic attacks about it... Sometimes i listen to this poem and it helps me pull it together again. Thankyou E.A, you help so many people without even realising.

  • @wolvez2 you know you should only fear them when they try to cause you harm. Which is very rare cases.

  • @TheCarmillaShow I know.. it's a silly fear. i don't really even know what scares me about them... i guess its just that they could be watching me without me knowing and can be there without me knowing... and like you said, i worry that they could hurt me... But thank you, what you said was kind of comforting:)

  • @wolvez2 that's good to know my words comforted you some. And it's not silly, I used to be the same way.

  • @wolvez2 Same problem here. But this poem soothes me and reminds me that ghosts aren't always evil. <3

  • "and you can just fly through people's bedrooms" hahahahah <3

  • Wow, by Odin's other eye this is the best poem that I've heard in years.

  • 1. This is awesome. One of the best poems I've heard. . It's so sweet I almost cried. 2. Is her poetry in a book? If not, it totally should be.

  • this poem is about her past it makes me happy and sad when i listen to such a bleesd voice she is an idol and WHATS UP WITH PEOPLE RANTING THERE RELIGOIN

  • Emilie Autumn Liddell.... she has the best name ever.

  • I'm not a poem person, but this is AMAZING.

  • my favorite poem from emilie

  • I don't know if I can call this a song or a poem, or both. But it's definetly my favorite!

  • I have a ghost just like that!!

  • I am nearly brought to tears every single time I listen to this poem. Something about it is so enchanting that I briefly and suddenly lose my ability to control my emotions. Hands down my favorite.

  • 3 words... best...poem... EVER!!! its so deep and well writen. I though emilie was cool before but now shes AMAZING! perfect, in away.

  • Don't we all have our ghosts, hmm?

I do have mine, and if he leaves, I'll miss him for a thousand years.

A beautiful peace. Emotion invoking, and made me stare at the screen, completely dazed and mesmerized.

  • I'm so goddamn proud to share the same name as this girl.

  • i love this poem so much i want it to be the first poem i memorise that isn't just roses are red and whatever rymes afterwards ^^ idk why but it kinda reminds me of that one old movie where that single mom and her daughter into a haunted house where the mom fell in love with the ghost and had to write the book he told her to write (im sorry to write this so long and pointless part know the name of it? sry plauge rats)

  • @hixixamxkat That sounds like an amazing movie.

I am mad at you for not knowing the name. D:

  • Wow! 666 likes! The wicked number..that says something you know. This is good as hell! LOL

  • This is my favourite video on Youtube. I want to be this talented *pouts*

  • ...wow.

  • This reminds me of a boy I care about very very much and might even love. And it may e my new favorite poem of all time. Thank you, Emilie Autumn.

  • This made me cry.

  • I love how she talks to the Ghost like he/she's a little boy or something, chatising him and telling him what to do =D

  • @TheSkittlesMonsterXD FIRST TIME WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TOO

  • This poem makes me sad and happy at the same time. It's beautiful and sort of haunting. It reminds me of a person that I've met before.

Thanks for posting up EA songs/poems and putting up the lyrics. :D

  • how come i can't "like" this about a million times....grrr

  • @boomstick900 if only we could

  • @Really1116 You just reminded me of this poem friend, and listening to it again, makes me wonder about something. Poster, wingedzephyr, or anyone, has she ever said what this poem is actually about? Listening again just now, I got a kind of creepy feeling, that the ghost is perhaps a certain person from her past. I read her wiki page, and I wonder if it isn't about That Person, from her childhood, still haunting her. It would be understandable, and undeniably sad. Love EA <3

  • Her voice is so beautifully haunting..

  • Wow. I can't believe I cried with this.

  • -knows exactly what she's talking about-

  • This kinda sounds like a bed time story with the background music playing. ^^ haha

  • this sure beats the boring allegorical political poetry we're forced to learn in school

  • @Jimmydots1992 ditto.

  • To me, 'Ghost' is way more than a poem. It's a song, a story, a loveletter, a conversation with a ghost/herself. Absolutely beautiful. I think Emilie Autumn is the most talented woman on earth.

  • OMG this is such a lovely pome I really Love it :DDDDD

  • @lenapano I know!!! I'm a newer emilie fan but as if being a fan of her music wasn't enough i had to find this in my autoplay ;)....too bad i probably won't go back to speech team....i want to read this see the look on the judges faces lol

  • ghost,do you know sometimes it frightens me,when you say my name & i cant see you? aahhh so good! (bows)

  • this is so brilliant. i love emilie autumn.

  • This is a wonderful piece. I don't really think there is any more I can say about it that hasn't already been said. Wingedzephyr, I truly enjoy every Emilie Autumn video you've posted, she's a truly amazing artist.

  • Been posting my poetry and it inspired me to come back and listen to some of hers again

  • I can never get tired of this piece. Every time I listen I see a new vision, hear a new reference, find something new all around. This is perfect to fall asleep too. Emilie has an amazingly gentle voice. I'm also incredibly tempted to attempt to write a story based upon this but I feel that Emilie has told the story beautifully. :)

("...and expect them to calmly wave goodbye". XD I love several of these lines!)

  • Even when she speaks without singing, it's just wonderful!

  • Perfect. :')

You just can't get tired of listening to her calm, pretty voice read this emotional poem out loud. This is very beautiful. Thank you very much for posting. :)

  • She reminds me of sylvia plath :O

and here i was thinking that there were no good poets left alive today =D

  • I know you don't want to hear it, but something like this happened to me once...

  • that was beautiful seriously

  • I cried :) its very well written

  • This is Genius! When I become an English teacher, I am going to do a whole study on the poetry of Emilie Autumn to show my class that poetry never dies! I do believe that she is the best poet of our time!

  • @MichelleElizabeth92 I wouldn't say the best, but definitely one of the best in modern times. She's greatly talented.

  • The writing in this poem is so exciting and yet dark that it fills my heart with joy and understanding of how awesome it is to be Goth. Glad I am one...X]

  • one word

    wow

    its amazing and beautiful

  • i love how fucked up she is haha

  • too beautiful

  • She's just brilliant, and so much more. I love her creativity, its as simple and complex as that..

  • She's just brilliant.

  • ♥

  • Nicest instruments I've ever heard, esspecialy nice for a poem.

  • Oh,this is cool!

  • Ah, what I wouldn't give to be the one of which she speaks in this work of pure wonder....

  • How a human being (or is it her ghost?) can write something this beautiful and emotional is honestly beyond my comprehension.

This is the best poem I've ever heard and probably the best I'm ever going to hear even if I too become a ghost and live for a thousand years. This is the definition of Beautiful.

  • @GrimReaperCalls seriously? theres flattery and then there's stupid obsession, learn the difference, egh..

  • @nakedchucho

Hm? Do you mean I'm obsessed with Emilie Autumn? If so, then I beg to differ, as I find her work incredibly inspiring but there's a difference between being incredibly impressed and inspired by someone and to be obsessed with someone. Of course, incase I really AM obsessed with her, I probably wouldn't realize it, but if you actually ARE right in that I'm obsessed with her, then I am thankful for the compliment, if there's someone I want to be obsessed with, then it's Emilie.

  • @GrimReaperCalls well in case you really are obsessed with her and you're ok with it then by all means, go for it. just do me a favor, please dont be one of those that kidnaps the obsession and eventually kills her...i am incredibly impressed with her talent and id hate to have to miss her lol.

  • @nakedchucho

Ah of course I won't. Rest assured, I am not the "Misery" kind of obsessed person, as a matter of fact, I don't even know where she lives, and I do not intend to find out. The only time I'd see her would be during a concert.

I apologize I if seemed that way. I adore her and I would never in any way bring her any harm, be it physically or mentally, may lightning strike me or may a ghost (lol...>.>) slay me if I'm lying.

Again, I sincerly apologize if I made that impresseion.

  • @GrimReaperCalls no no, no apologies lol just be the fan you are and all should be fine. do your thing and she'll more then likely do hers. its all we as people should hope for. ^_^

  • T~T One of the most beautiful thigs I have heard one say.

  • this has to be my favourite poem. it's really sweet and she reads it so well. ♥

  • i watched it again and i have to honestly say i cried. and now my makeup is running. ♥

  • It sure gives the word mind-fuck a complete new meaning.

  • o.O' Cool!!

  • Wow. This is incredible....*chills*

  • This gives me chills everytime I hear it. *_* I love this poem. She reads it so great and the music in the background is perfekt. Ahh *chills* ^_^

  • its funny, i was listening to this poem in the dark (on my room) at like 3 AM, and in the distamce i heard a train, both very eery, in a mysterious, romantic, lovely way, if you know what i mean :)

I especially love the parts "If one day your sugar sits untouched, will you have gone forever" "where were you when i searched the seas for a friend to talk to me, in a year where will you be" and "are you made of stardust too? are the angels after you/"

  • somewhy, somehow, her voice in poems makes me calm and clears my depressed tougths..<3 I love her music an poems =]

  • =) lovely.

  • I love her. Holy shit. That poem. I love it too.

    She's an amazingly talented person.

  • WingedZephyr, I really really appreciate all your work. If it weren't for you we would be stuck with slideshows without lyrics and beautiful pictures of Emilie.

I hope you get to meet Emilie one day, maybe you already did, but I hope you will again.

I'm almost as big of fan of you.

Emilie is ranked 1st of course, but thanks for all this.

  • Simply lovely, when I heard 'Are you standing behind me' I got chills on my spine. I hope my poems get as spine-chilling and beautiful as hers one day.

  • I love her poems and i love her music. She's wonderfull and talented.

Curious enough, i wrote a very similar poem a few days ago. Now i can say that i thought in something that Emilie Autumn also thought. This just made my day.

  • Whoah, I love this poem. It gives me chills!

  • oooh! fantasy friends yay! XD just kidding! I love the madness and sofistication in her lyrics! It reminds me that not all of todays "artists" are completely oblivious to everyday melancholy!

  • this is such a beautiful poem ♥...it's so wonderful :)

  • I like this poem. Alot!

  • ah, one of my favorite EA poems. =]

love your videos, by the way.

Also, this has got to be one of the most gorgeous pictures of her I've ever seen.

please come to france and give a concert!! i promise ill come! ^^

  • Emilie Autumn has made me want to be a poet wen I'm grown up! x

  • Omg. I wrote a poem kind of like this... It was called 'My Special Stranger.' Except... Mine was more frightening.

I luv Emilie. <3 Her lyrics and poems are so beautiful.

  • I want her in front of me so badly, I wanna hug her! ç__ç

  • it it wrong for a straight girl to be in love w/ Emile Autumn??

if so-i don't wanna be right.

if there is one woman every girl must look up to, it should be EA-not any preppy ass singer/actress.

  • haha.

It can't be wrong! It just can't!

  • Don't worry, when it comes to EA I struggle as well! XD

  • Pretty Pretty Pretty.<3

    I never really liked poetry.

But Emilie not to recently has given me the greatest respect for it.

I'm writing a poem like this for one of my classes, too.<3

God, I'm in love that woman.

    :3
