2010 Chevrolet Silverado - Drive Time review

I got myself a 2010 Silverado cause i am very loyal to Chevy, but it kept on breaking down. Something would bang under the truck and the yokes got replaced like 3 times. I decided to trade it in for a Toyota. It doesn't drive the same, but it hasn't given me any trouble. Very dissapointed!!!!!!

My 09 gave me electrical trouble for 2 years until a wiring harness shorted out and the motor burned to crisp on my driveway, got $500 more than i originally paid for it. Now I'm in a 2011 F-150 Ecoboost and I couldn't be happier with it. Not a single thing wrong with it and I've already put more miles on it than i ever had on my Chevy (it was in the shop so much). I probably put more miles on the dealer loaner Aveo POS than my own truck.

...and it was out dated as soon as it came out. Its built the way the big 3 used to. Boxed front from bumper to the firewall and then open c-channel the way back.

@CarCurious Well, funny story. Since that comment I have acquired an F-150 Ecoboost cause my Chevy was in an engine fire due to a shorted out electrical harness. Could've been the best thing that happened to me, I got $500 more than I paid for it from insurance and I couldn't be happier with my new truck.

@CarCurious Yeah, I liked the Chevy but it had a ton of problems. It feels nice to have a truck that doesn't have any issues, one that you can just drive. Plus i think the GM trucks are getting a bit dated compared to the competition. The exterior looks are ho-hum compared to the Ram and F-150, just didn't age well. GM does have the potential to take over since the competition doesn't have any plans to update for another couple years.

I would have to disagree that dodge has nicer interiors. Any of us guys that have bad neck and back will tell you chevy is the best. It is all about the seats. If I could take the seat out of my silverado and put it in my living room I would. They are dam comfortable.

Actually reviwer sir...frame wise, Ford and Dodge are older. 2004 was the first redesign and the release of the F-150 frame. Dodge carried over alot of the basic frame structure from the 2002 release, but redesigned the rear suspension. The GM 1/2 ton twins have the newest frame, released in 2007.

I have driven GM 1500 trucks since 1975, but no more since the idiots went backward in 2005 and started putting DRUM BRAKES on the rear of all 1500 trucks unless you order the TRAILER MAX package with its fuel hogging 6.0 engine. I gave away a 2005 crew cab LT because of the shitty brakes. I now drive a 2500 HD just to have 4 wheel disk brakes.

@aqinthe Depends on what you buy certain trucks are just for construction workers or some company you did not buy a public truck and they also do this to lower the cost for the companies too so they don't have to pay soo much
