I was at this game as a norwich fan. i can remember it as if it were yesterday he was a class act, and the goal was so much better when seeing it in the flesh.
Just enjoy what you can see on youtube,he was a master on the ball no one was better at holding the ball and bringing others into the game, the problem was he was to strong for them....Up the Sky Blues.
I also saw that goal from the Brummie. Only man to get the ITV and BBC goal of the season for goals in different class. How much for him in his prime in today's market? Top class. Top man.
players like paul mariner and tony woodcock got into the england team before regis and at the time nobody said a word thnk god times have changed and players like heskey can gain 30 plus caps how many did cyrille deserve
I agree with you lordyj... that was a travesty IMHO.
Serves the FA right no wonder we were not even close to winning things on a national level...we left our best players at home...just because of skin colour eh?
bloody hell a wolves player giving a west brom player credit I can't believe my eyes lol anyway he was a great player shame about the racism he had to endure in football nothing more racist then the lack of times he appeared for england same as lawrie cunnigham suffered
yh he was an amazing player just a shame him and cunningham were before their era imagine how good england would be if both were in this era. where ever he went he scored goals the man was a genius when that ball dropped and hit his foot.
Pity fans are still really racist in football. Still only a couple of black managers, and every time an english team plays against a spanish team theres always reports of racist fans there. Regis was definately international class.
Makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
I'm a Manchester City fan, but that doesn't stop Cyrille Regis being one of my all time heroes. What a goal what a man what a player.

Coventry legend. Everyone should love Cyrille, though. Wonderful player.
