Great video! I'm looking forward to purchasing some incense and resin and trying it out. Thankyou for the helpful advice, I will def check out your other videos!
Thanks for posting this video. I purchased everything i needed to burn my resin and love it but cant seem to escape the 'burnt' smell after the resin is done. I've only attempted it twice trying different depths for the charcoal with no success. An idea came to mind and I think ill continue to use it while I continue to try and perfect this method. I simply added water to the receptacle of my tea-light oil burner and dropped in about 5-6 pieces of resin. It worked great and smelled even better.
Would you happen to know how to solve the problem of the tobacco smell after it has smothered out? I don't know why it does this, and it takes forever to get out. Thanks and Blessings!
wow very cool that u make videos about this.this was what i always wondered.mine got out really quick ha ha.now i know why.u r lucky to have a japanese shop in your neighborhood.we dont over here.well on line it must be there to i guess.
These would be a great idea for those of us how have smoke alarm all over the house:) Please let me know if you know where i can buy it in AZ...blessed be...
Hahaha people are complaining that burning charcoal is too hot and burning incense makes too much smoke. That is like banging your head against a brick wall and complaining that it hurts because the wall is too hard.
Love this video. Thanks. Very informative. I don't like the way my incense mixtures smell on top of the charcoal discs. In doing some research, the charcoal discs are kind of toxic and not good for you and the Maako powder (in your other video) is a much healthier and cleaner solution. Also found that Bamboo charcoal is healthier too. It's a shame that so many Wiccan/Pagan shops only carry the charcoal discs. Anyway, thanks for some great videos.
thanks so much for this video! i tried using a self igniting charcoal tablet for resin incense today with no luck. i was really disappointed! i will have to look for some white rice ash now. i figure the best place to start looking is the same shop you bought yours from. can you give me a link of their shop or address? also, is the piece of charcoal and the amount of resin you used in this video what you normally use? thanks in advance!
@turtles1717 The place I got the white ash from is no longer open I am trying to find online a good website where to get white ash!!! And yes that the way I use my resins. A little goes a long way!!!!
dude, your awesome! I waiting for my ash to come any day now!!! I can't wait to see what my dragons blood smells like without being burnt or having to fan around my smoke alarm so it doesn't go off!!
@scgcdmluvr You can use sand and dirt but the white ash let's the charcoal breath sand and dirt will not do that for you. Your best way is to make your own use the felt over ash from your cone and stick incense.
Thank you for posting all your videos, I find them very helpful, and I am always making notes for my BOS. I think many will benefit from them. I especially like this one as the smoke has been a big problem for me when doing spells and rituals at home. Brightest Blessing )O(
Sweet!!! Thank you for this! I was trying to use the disks, and almost asphyxiated myself with all of the smoke. I had given up on them, until now! TY, TY, TY!!!
I. Love. This. I'm already looking around online for an incense bowl! I hear the bamboo charcoal is best for those who don't like the smell of the saltpeter in the regular charcoal.. I am totally fascinated by your videos! Keep making them, they are AWESOME!!
I've scoured the internet and books for better charcoal burning tips, and it was still burning too fast and wasting so much product for so long. This is awesome! Thanks so much!
whoa! this is awesome. i have used the white rice ash before but never this way. i did it the usual way by sitting the charcoal ontop of the ash and it did burn slower and differently. but this method is much better! thanks as always!
This is such a great video. Faved! I've not used charcoal blocks before, mainly because I've been pretty clueless, but this video has helped me out immensely... I'll be getting some soon! Thanks so much! x
I've honestly never used a charcoal disk to be honest. Recently though I've been thinking about investing in a proper kit for the use of it. Your video came at a right time!
This is such a fabulous tip! I really love the idea of loose incense and burning on charcoal disks, but like you said, it was producing so much smoke and getting so hot, I was starting to not want to do it anymore. But this is great. thanks!
Thank You so much. I will order the white rice ash soon. I have tons of resins but I have had to stop burning them because the smoke that comes of the charcoal is too strong and bothers my kids and I. But with this new technique that you have just shown me I will be able to burn them safely without the harshness of the smoke.
No i don't. I don't even use sand, I just haven't gotten around to getting any. But i don't burn Resin Incense often so it never ended up being something i purchased.
Great vid. I have been using sand, I use a small piece of aluminum foil on top for certain resins to reduce the smoke. I have to try the ash...thank you...BB )O(
Can you feel the smiles sent your way? When I was in my first circle (in the 60s) the process you just shared (plus an in-depth ritual around incense) was used. Over the years I got away from that as I couldn't find the ash. When the internet came along I never thought to look there!. You've inspired me to not only buy ash but to buy saltpeter-free charcoal again. The internet is full of resources, and I never thought to look! I'm one happy witch this morning!!!! ~ Delia ~
Omg, thank you for this video!....I can't stand the smell of charcoal...it's so overpowering....the ash isn't easy to find but I was able to track some down online
Yes you can put loose herbs on it sandalwood smels great on it!!! The best way i put out the smoke is i will put a ceramic plate on top of it too stop the oxygen almost like snuffing the charcoal out!!! Thank you for watching!!!!
do u smoke hookah, thouse look just like the tongs i got with my hookah and thouse look and act just like the instalite coals that came with it.
