This is the geatest speech delivered by a Scottish leader in my lifetime, bar none! Jimmy Reid would be very proud indeed! Thomas Muir too - remember We Shall Erect A Statue to Thomas Muir the great visionary democrat - and the democratic poetic vision of Robert Burns. Alex I salute you as your countryman and I prize dearly your signature in my copy of The Canongate Burns.

@BigAlzo - the election is on 5th May.

The next term is going to be five years instead of the usual four as the UK Govt have interfered.

Alex Salmond is certainly the most personable Scottish politician of his generation, something I am sure all who have met the man would agree with.

It's just a pity we have such a biased media in Scotland. We all just hope that come the 5th of May, the Scottish people see through the Labour lies and do the right thing at the ballot box.
