30:35 LOL!!! Best EVER. Alhamdulillah all the extremist are being pointed out in this lecture. Finally, someone mentions the other extremists, the ones who hardly want anything to do with Islam.
@MasterBott01 lol. "yanni" in arabic means "means." its a way of further elaborating on the meaning of something. it comes from the arabic word ma3na, i.e. meaning.
@MasterBott01 From my experience watching lectures, 'ya'ni' is used for clarification and it often comes before an example. I noticed this trend, but I don't know much of the arabic language.
@MasterBott01 I'm pakistani and we speak urdu and in urdu there's that word and it means "meaning". I think it's an arabic word also, seeing how urdu took some parts of arab.
He is suppose to say extremism vs. liberalism. both of them are not acceptable. Prophet Muhammad SAW said you have to be moderate. This is why I wanted to attend the conference but unfortunately the price were "extremely" high. I couldn't afford it but Al-Hamdulillah, brother khalifahklothing, keep up the good job with these the middle path lectures from May 2009 or was it 2010. Jazakallahu Khairan.

This guy is one of the great speakers. He's funny too. May Allah reward him for his talk.
I have a question though. Every now and then he uttered what sounded to me was "YAANI" or something like that. What does it mean? Thanks!

@MasterBott01 i think its equivalent to what people say in english when they in the middle of the sentence say "i mean"
e.g. you greet someone and realize it's the wrong greeting: "good morning, i mean, afternoon, good afternoon"
