Bangladesh needs to reduce its population by 1/4. To about 38 Million people maximum. The country is on a flood plain, with not enough resources to sustain the current 150 Million people.
Bangladeshi's need to realise the country will drown if this is not done. Do not expect Bangladesh to do anything great if it can't even feed itself. Think small steps that will take you great distances.
There needs to be more education and mechanisation of Bangladeshi society as well as increased Atheism.
I am not trying to offend anyone. আমি ভাই খাটি বাঙ্গালী। these are just my two cents:
1. Mr. Hans Rosling. What's with the USSR secret agent accent? I'm sure nobody wants to hear about some miracle in that accent no matter how miraculously miracle it may be. ZZZzz..
2. I found the graph presentation very exaggerating. I mean come on! Come on! Come on! Do I even need to explain my point here?
3. The whole thing sounded like the they didn't expect this much from us - downright insulting.
@muchavvir Hans Rosling has very powerful Swedish accent, and I think it's ahs become an essential part of his personality. I am probably biased (look at my name) but I feel theese gapcasts just wouldn't be the same without it ;)
the population of country size Bangladesh should not be more than half of the population now, Its increasing and most of the people have no idea about the effects. govt. should do more to control the population growth.
This is a fantastic eye-opening video, I knew of the over-population, etc. but not the detail in sq. km and the size of the nation compared to a state.
this is a miracle.. but this is happening in almost all countries who are moving from agriculture to industry. as a farmer community people need more children for their field work as labour is expensive for them. but during industrialisation this effect occur.
Thumbs up for mac os!!!

Well, the Govt. should keep the efforts going like it used to be during the 80s. They seem little relaxed lately and we just can't afford it.

Great works, that was facinating watching the migration from large families to smaller and the decrease in child mortality that occurs.

bangladesh is still a predominantly agarian coutnry. What makes it a miracle is that Bangladesh has achieved this without major industrial expansion.
