I never thought Mason would get outdueled by Osgood. Not that I thought Ozzy wouldn't win, I just never thought Mason would give up 18 goals in 4 games.

I guess The Wings shouldn't fear any goalie in the league.

What I found quite impressive was in game four Osgood was not 100%; but he still out performed Mason. In Mason's defense the Jackets obviously don't have the offense Detroit does, but did that stop them in the season series? Overall was a fun series to watch, and kudos to Jacket fans to really support your team.

When i watched the wings last night they seemed extremley fired up.Osgood stopped alot of good shots that could've gone in but he only let ONE slide.I was shocked at his performence.The jackets tried to weaken the wings by getting them into mini fights but that didnt work.The Wings still came around and shot in about 4good ones.lots of intensity,power,passion,playin­g in that game,this is a good match up. Its still early to determain whos going where though,wait till after the 3rd game to decide.

yes nicely said Michlimania, but lets rember this is the playoffs... mason has never played in a playoff game. last year the wings faced great goaliees in dan ellis, marty turco, and marc andre-fluery. the wings should have little or no problems against this blue jackets team. wings in five.

Clearly Detroit is favored due to their superior firepower, superb defence, and deep playoff experience. However, Detroit has a rendency to be shut down by great golatending...and make no bones about it...Steve Mason is one of the best, if not THE best, goalie out there. He is much better as off late than Chris Osgood.

The Jackets net presence, coupled with their 1st playoff hunger, and a rabid home crowd could make this more interesting than previously thought.

Tim Thomas and Steve Mason are two of the hottest in The NHL this season.

Conversely, Osgood's season numbers have been near dead last.

I'm going Wings in 6 too. I just think this Mason kid with a league leading 10 shut outs and 2nd in GA (2.29) is capable of stealing a game or two.

obviously the wings are favored in this series but i really think columbus has a legit shot of an upset. mason could steal the show. he plays solid under pressure and even better against top teams (shutting out boston and the caps twice). and nash has been waiting 6 years to prove himself in the postseason....he's gonna play like a man possesed and excels against detroit (2 hat tricks)
