I remember this storyline starting all to well. When Carl began to change into the good guy after years of being the bad guy. A few of my family and friends lost loyality to the show and quit watching. They could not stand Rachel was moving on with Carl after all he did to Mac. I loved the change, at first was like them, but feel in love with the change. This is where it all started to change. Kathleen was back from the dead, and all that stuff at that time. Carl had a special hatred for Jake(and likewise)as was evident when Carl was talking to Paulina in this video.
