there r 3 falls i cldnt have stayed on..... one my horse slipped around a corner cantering, another time (yesterday...) i told a horse to canter he took off galloping he mini bucked i fell on his neck and yes i no when you lean forward it means go faster so im not mad at the horse for going faster but i looked like a kola hanging on his neck! my last fall that i wouldnt have stayed on.......the only on caught on camera and by far funniest! watch it! search super epic horse fall its the first one

(i've been rideing about 5 or 6 years now and have fallen alot lol most of it was me just being stupid and sliping but i've had some falls where i was sore for weeks too)

A girl in my form and one of her friends saw me Tuesday and today grooming my horse and really want to ride him but he's an ex-eventer so they wouldn't be able to control him. I'm lucky I didn't die falling off him. I broke my neck in the summer and only just started riding him again 3 weeks ago. I'm 14 and appear to have more common sense than my teachers who think riding is easy.

Even if you do get a horse that does everything for you, you will form a bond and if something then goes wrong like the horse breaks it's leg or neck etc. Losing a best friend is NOT easy. I have ridden all from flat racing, steeplechase, hunting to show jumping.

Fallen off sometimes very bad, broken almost every bone in my body but still love to ride.

Hope I someday die, when the time comes, while hunting, then I'm happy and my horse is happy. Is ther anything better than ride att full speed over fences? No there is nothing to compare.

I agree, I'm only a beginner but it seems to me that horseback riding in definately not easy. I'm training right now and it's hard to do five things at once ( such as maintaining posture, finding your stirrups, keeping the horse straight, etc.)

xmas '09 i had a horiffic riding accident, which ended in my snapping my hip after being dragged, breaking my jaw in 2 places, knocking out 2 1/2 teeth and messing up my face after being kicked in the face. I had surgery to put my hip back together, spent 6 days in hospital (only came home xmas eve) and spent over 4 months on crutches and 6 off riding. i still suffer now after a 2nd op. i'm 16 and have false teeth.

yes not only english but jumping and high speed racing with english saddles. not much to grab or hold you on. but can't imagine trying to jump with a western saddle however.lol. and yes horses can slip, make misjudgements in jumping or even on trail, and sometimes they cna have a mind of their own.

Basically, when riding a horse, you're risking your life every day. Anything and everything can happen. I've had my horse for about 3 years, and when I first started riding him, he bucked me off atleast 5 times. I hate all of those people who horsebackride, and gets thrown off and says their never gonna go horsebackriding again. It wasn't the horses fault. It's the rider's fault. They should be able to control and maintain the horse. Plus, all of those pictures are English! Pfft. I ride Western.
