I remember when MTV actually played good music like this. NOW its "i cant sing ie:autotune"..or i cant play, or write any songs myself ,so ill have somone else do it artists. FOR LOVE OF GOD! We need good music like this back.
@draculasgirl1 i can tell you why ..they released it to late , in 92 the grunge era had taken over and their sound wasn't "cool" anymore , if they had released it in 88 or 89 it would have been a huge success
@mistacord Dann Huff is a great singer, but he couldn't have worked in Foreigner. Like Steve Lukather, he's a guitar player first. He's a top session musician in Nashville. He wouldn't have worked in Foreigner, unless Mick Jones would've been fine with a second guitarist in the band.
Again, another song I listenes to after my girlfriend left me....
Destoryes and unhappy but picked myself up and today I am married and have two fantastic boys. Life isn´t over just because someone leaves you, remeber that you youngsters!
This is 80s and early 90s rock at its best. Awesome guitar riffs; great keyboard textures. I would've loved to play in this band! What amazing talent! Glad both David and Dann are still involved in the music industry. I'm downloading all of these albums at once for my ipod. I forgot how much good material they had in addition to I'm A Believer. Thank you!
Too metal to be appreciated by pop-sucker fans, too melodic to be rememberd by nowadays heavy metal fans... Anyway I love AOR! Long life to one of the greatest hard rock era! Late 80s - Early 90s! The last TRUE ROCK Era!
80s and 90s rock the music. What a great track. I miss my sweetheart and memorise the sweet times we share during school and those moments were amazing. Use to hear on my terrace when she left me alone. Ah! still that pain was so sweet due to the presence of the emotions and the song. That time artist really use to assemble the emotions incrediebly...i miss those times hell
Dann Huff & Mike Brignardello have both had very successful careers in Nashville's country scene as session aces, and on the production side of things since Giant's "heyday". I've always contended this band was 3-4 years too late on the national scene. They could've seen true metal stardom thru the mid-80's. When you consider the calibre of musicians working in Nashville, it's no wonder how they fit right in. I'm not a rabid country music fan, but the genre does harbor excellent musicians.
It's a shame what good musicians have to endure from record labels and radio monopolies, good music like this gets overshadowed by much inferior but high publicity crap. Close your eyes and it remains GOOD......VERY GOOD.
I've been looking at the so called Promise Land videos.............. not the same lineup and without Dann Huff on vocals and guitar not the same caliber creativity and ability coming thru for the best side of the original band members. The lights are not as bright, Oh Well
I belive Dan Huff is in a couple of songs in the new album like a guitarist, actually, the new album sounds pretty good, just like the old days, ROCK N' ROLL FOREVER!!!!
This is what I heard: a new album will arrive in 2010. Original band members David Huff and Mike Brignardello have teamed up with Terry Brock and John Roth. Dann Huff has co written several songs and he will play the guitar on one track.
glad to see dann huff being recognised as a major player after years playing behind streisand, george benson belinda carslisle, madonna, boz scaggs even bruce willis' return of bruno.this dude has definitely paid his dues.brilliant player and group!!
Yep they just dont make em like this anymore - but its great that a quality sound revolution has returned recently from around 2005 so all is not lost. Check out the band Within Temptation.
Yeah, that's true, and the music world is a damn site poorer or the change/loss. There were a lot of really good bands that came out around this time that were just starting to show real potential. Just imagine how THIS band would have sounded several years on.....
iI agree with you, it's sad too see that era has end, but im happy that we have youtube in this days to look back and enjoy what we have experience in the late 80's and in the beginning of 90's.
Dann Huff is a great guitar player, singer and composer. And a great studio producer too- He produced albuns for Jewel,Megadeth and ... Mariah Carey!!!
@sweenykim you are absolutely right - good god almighty - Dann Huff is one of the greatest guitar gods that never got the recognition he deserves. i, unfotunately could come up with a list a mile long of such shredders...
That's Alan Pasqua on the keyboard and Mike Brignardello on bass. Both did backing vocals as well. This is one of de 'Stay' beach video's that were edited. I saw another version that contains more prolonged shots of the band members. I must admit that I too don't understand the visual theme, but it's a great song. Tell your dad and uncle I said hi!
dude, the lead guitar/vocalist is Dan Huff - the guy is an absloute LEGEND to anyone who knows anything about guitar players. You are blessed to have a father with that kind of talent. I love all of Dan's guitar work and Giant was a band that was way underrated - the guy truly is a musical genuis - playing, writing, producing, he can do it all.
That´s GREAT! Can´t believe just under 3.000 views! Sure if it was a boys band would have 10bilion views! But well, everybody knows the world ain't perfect! lol
