  • I know what you mean. That is so rude of superstu86 and has been reported as vulgar. If he or she doesn't delet it their e-mail will be blocked from YouTube for eternity. No one answered my question. If the Gun accidentally went off in Mickeys hand Killing him, and it doesn't show him point the gun at himself, then who shot Mickey. The mother? I did not see the police in the Broadway version until after mickey was already dead.

  • It was better with David and Shaun cassidy on Broadway. Still not sure if Mickey shot himself after shooting Eddie, or if His Mother s

hot him after he shot Eddie.

  • It's set in Liverpool, and I'm from Liverpool and have seen it plenty of times in different cities. This Aussie performance is maybe not the best, but that doesn't matter....if people can appreciate what the play is about, and absorb themselves in what he's trying to say (whilst at the same time time still enjoy it)...I think that's what Willie Russell wants! Just watch and enjoy a modern day classic!!

  • well done i done this for my exam and its brill

  • @superstu86 What the hell are you talking about?

  • Eddie's main mistake was shouting "No!" back at Mickey. Someone with a gun pointed at them, especially when it's someone they grew up loving as a brother, is going to be very soft, and very frightened and will sound pleading. The policeman could sound a little more authoritative. Lastly, Mickey needs to spend longer contemplating the meaning of what his mother reveals, needs to look into Eddie's eyes, and when the gun goes off, it totally accidental.

  • I enjoyed this, but I have a few constructive criticisms, if that's ok. I've seen the London show 36 times and starred in the show too. I think Mickey needs to downplay a little. Remember he's at the end of his rope. He's going to be desperate but emotionally exhausted. Less shouting as this can make it difficult to understand the words he's saying. When asking about his daughter, Mickey needs to sound at his most desperate and most paranoid.

  • @superstu86 one this is an elglish play and two when they say is it what we english come to know as class is the actual lines of the play u fuckin bellend

  • i still think this is a brilliant play :)

  • Two things:

1.) People are so judgemental and rude. I'd like to see you try and tackle a tough show like this! Seriously, I'd like to see you try it!

2.) This is a very good showing, it may be a little overdone, but what isn't these days!? Great job, regardless, it's a great show!!

  • @superstu86 you do realise that the show is set in liverpool so dont you fuckin dare start callin anyone a fuckin scumbag or i will have to knock you out m8 sorry theres nothing wrong with this video its actually quite good its not about how its suposed to be its how you interpret the script thats the best thing about drama its all prefrence and the way you like it if you want it to be and if you try you sir dont try so dont comment and go think your life through

  • i actually think this is well done.

but i do agree that some of the characters are a bit overplayed,

mickey, seems a little child like still

    but overall, congrats!

    x

  • Well i thought that was f*****g brilliant regardless of what these people below are saying!

    Well done all of you!

Only wish we could do it in the UK :(

  • Good, but You can see a far better version of BLOOD BROTHERS put up by bootzmantoo. (Performed by CATS Rheindahlen.) it's the whole show from begining to end, great scenery, great music and performances. ..Brilliant. Check it out.

  • I saw this on West End in London in the spring of '10. It. Was. Amazing. One of the best plots I've seen in years. Wicked is still my favorite, but the two are in two completely different genres. SO well written! <3

  • I recently saw Blood Brothers in the Empire (Liverpool) so yeah, we were tough crowd to please with the scouse accents :) but they were brill. I think this is brill too!

  • This is overdone, and it seems unrealistic, this is POOR.

  • Thank you for your constuctive comment MrSaggy,

I will pass it on to the cast and tell them that you think it is overdone and poor and unrealistic. Once again thank you so much for your help! Our goal is to make you happy.....xxx

  • @MrSaggy8 you've no idea how great this one is live!

  • That was fucking AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are performing in less then a week.... I hope I can do as good as Micky!!!

  • i have to disagree with superstu86, this performance is awesome musically wise... Currently MD for a show with a blood brothers section in it and its such a powerful show, also played eddie in a production... I do how agree withe the accents could have been better but bloody good effort guys. well done

  • What's your problem superstu86 !!! You seem to have some serious issues! When you say scum bags , do you mean the world in general? the people watching this clip? or just us in the cast?

I had a little glance at your channel and notice you favourited 2 gay guys pashing! NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT !

  • this show is a FANTASTIC piece, and my high school just finished it! i just wish the gunshots in this were more epic/effective. and there should have been blood! haha blood is so fun.

  • That was a phenominal performance, would love to have seen that version live :D

  • that was great!

  • DIIZ-ME QUE NAO É VERDADEEEE!! DIZ-ME QUE É APENAS UMA HISTÓÓÓRIAAA!!! xD

  • thnx for this!!

  • Yeah same, and well yeah. Was a very good perfomance then, because I think the pacing etc in this scene is extremely important.

  • Does anyone know the names of these actors? The new cast...

  • lyn paul from new seekers is playing mrs johnstone in the 2010 cast liverpool, brimingham, hastings (london), richmond theatre (london)

  • the narrator was awesome wen craig price played the part last yr :D he is so fit and fab voice!

  • Very nice - thanks for posting.. great job too!!

  • Mickey is really good in this. But the gunshots were rubbish. It was amazing when I went to see it in London :)

  • I went to see this yesterday in London, sure I was not the only man there having a litte sob' during this song ! - but don't tell the wife she did'nt notice !

  • wow this is really good, u can feel the emotion and suspense in Mickeys voice.

    Amazing well done!

  • Recently saw Blood Brothers at the Phoenix Theatre.....Niki Evans and Jody Tranters performances were amazing. This musical always reduces me to tears. Niki showed true emotion which connected with the audience. Thank you for this vid. Brings back great memories.

  • Wow I just stumbled on this clip, and brought so many memories for me. I saw Blood Brothers in England when I was at a exchange program in California... and this was my first musical ever. It still is so resonate with me... very good musical. It's been 8 years since I seen this show.

  • apsoloutly amazing musical x

  • hey I'm auditioning for this play in about a month (high school) I just wanted to get peoples opinions on who is the most interesting or fun character to play for a guy. The narrator seems to have the most songs but he seems pretty boring to me. I'm thinking mickey? any advice is appreciated.

  • Edward's a fun part to play. His acting's quite hilarious, and the book (written words of the play) centres on him a lot.

Mickey's the best of the comedy roles, however, with a couple of funny songs. His spoken stuff is a little harder to play, and you need to be really emotionally keyed in to play him towards the end (just watching this clip could tell you that!).

The narrator is a really tough, gritty part - you'd have a lot to say but the part's a little depressing.

    Good luck!

  • i saw it in there yesterday, Everyone was crying, and the gun effects were brill :) Its a really good but sad play

  • wow mickey is amazing!

    i love this musical.

this one actually made me cry more than the first time i saw it.

  • This is year 10 coursework?! Wow, if it is, that was amazing, the one who played Mickey was incredible.

  • Yeah same here the play was amazin and one of the nolan sisters was the mum

  • i went to see blood brothers with my partner 1-11-08, and i thought its was absolutely fantastic, and my partner agreed. it made me laught, cry, jump. it was brillant i'd see it again.

  • wow

you're all doing this for coursework still?

i remember doing it 3 years ago for mine. got realy high marks because i just LOVED it so much - i went into real detail of everything.

    BLOOD BROTHERS ROCKS!!!

and i was the only person who really cried.

in fact, i didn't stop til we got home hahaha.

  • Oh my goodness, I watched this last night and was crying almost all the way through the second half!! (Won't give any spoilers for those who haven't seen it, but if you do, you'll understand) The best piece of drama I've ever seen.

  • wen i saw it i was right at the front row and they used blanks to shoot each other SCARED THE **** OUTTA ME

  • I have to admitt, it may seem like any old actor can play this and get a standing ovation but you actually need to feel it, raw emotion and these lot have done REALY REALLY well, WELL DONE!!

  • perfect...

  • This is an Australian production, right?

  • Yes. This is an Australian production.

  • I saw this in London last year and then again yesterday and i jumped out of my flipping skin at the gun shot both times and nearly cried at this song it is ssssssoooooo sad!!!!!

  • So did I! The guya who played Mickey and Eddie in the production I saw were absolutely amazing. I didn't see that gun shot coming. Everyone in the audience was laughing because everyone jumped, aha.

  • why does the narrator sound like he's leading a raffle?

  • LOL! he does

  • It's supposed to be scouse... wouldnt it be a bit weird if they said it was set in liverpool tehn came out with these non liverpudlian accents?

  • maybe its the australian district....hehe

    I loved it!

    same ending 2.

  • Are these actors American? Because their accents are appauling!

  • having seen the london production a month ago, i think that this is an american production of the show, judging from the scenery and the music. it's good, but to say it's the london one might not be true.

  • hmm i saw this show in london about a month ago and was better... BUT ITS STILL AMASING

  • :O i LOVE this song. Its sooo sad but so true. This musical is AmAZING!

  • This is one of the best musicals ever!

    Greetings from Sweden.

    /Joel
