This is great! Your method makes sense, and your explanation is understandable, detailed yet concise. Your skill as an instructor definitely shows here. And you're pretty! ^_^
Keep up the great work and keep helping people to properly own a firearm.
when u put it in your stash hiding place, make sure you keep the barrel pointed OUT. otherwise u might mess up ur only asset. lmao. i carried my 12 gauge into the lobby of the fontainbleu (bill and hillary were there for vacation) and nobody blinked an eye. why? it was a hunting piece, very old and beautiful. yes they looked but nobody had the bad manners to ask about the hunting shotgun. the law folks are worried more about people HIDING (concealing) guns. i am guffawing.
(I'm a guy so I may be clueless in this area) But wouldn't a thigh carry be faster? You wouldn't have to bring the dress up as high and you seem to have to replace your hand when pulling the dress up, I don't think you'd have to do that with a thigh carry.
@308Sharpie , A thigh holster doesnt work for my full-size gun, it would just fall down my leg. Secondly, I'm really not fond of the fact that it's pointing right at my femoral artery...I always try to carry in one place because when the sh** hits the fan, I'm going to rely on muscle memory. You fight like you train.
@peachyallday Oh yeah, didn't click that it was full size, now that you point it out though, I see it.
Good point about where the gun is pointing, I wouldn't really like it either, but how fast is the draw even with pulling up the dress to grab the gun? Seems like it would take a ton of practice to get to the point where you could lift and draw very quickly.
But I'm a guy, please forgive my ignorance on this subject, I mean, it's not like I have to wear a dress and carry (Not that I could CONT
@peachyallday Could, Canada has very limited circumstances where you can be issued an ATC (Basically our carry permit) plus I'm not a girl, kudos to you women who have to think of creative ways to carry
This is a very informative video and I will show to all my lady friends who have questions about guns and CCW. I am also posting this to the Suarez International WarriorTalk forums as well.
Have you considered appendix carry as a method of carrying?
I considered appendix carry, I do not appendix carry, nor do I teach my students to for a very importnat reason. People often shoot themselves while they are re-holstering or while the gun is actually in the holster...havig that muzzle pointed at my femoral artery is asking for trouble. Also, like I said to 308Sharpie, when the sh** hits the fan, I'm going to rely on muscle memory, and I usually carry on my hip...

Only problem with drawing from behind your back is that you put yourself in an armbar position.

Do you happen to have a link for the holster maker you mention?

@sorichar
For some reason I can't post it in this comment thread. If you google 5shot leather or go to my blog and look under "links" you will find it there.
