@chicawakawoo completely agree, it drops off slightly more than a straight run but starts faster. all evens out in the end. you still have a srt8 and i don't :( haha
@chicawakawoo It's a small world- I live in Barboursville! No wonder it looked familiar! Your videos are awesome. I know a lot of the places you're driving lol
@altobeast It was a pull off the road, just for the hell of it run but I went back to check. I did this just past exit 1 of I-79S, I would call it a down hill start with a up hill end. You can see that in the video just before I pull the cam down.
I've only done a few timed runs but I guess after winter I should find a safe, flat spot to do some serious tries.
I just did a 4.26 in a 2010 R/T tonight. Granted, the fuel light had just come on, so I was about as light as you can get. Before that, my best time had been a 5.1. Not quite sure what happened for me tonight.
Dissapointing , I have a 2010 RT and have full catless exaust , tuner , cold air , auto trans and run consistant 4.5-4.7 to 60 anyway still love the 392 think you need tires !
u can do even better than that my friend because this srt8 is now more poewrful than previous model and it has better 0-60,handling..eveything.....just try to focus on ur 0-60
@Tuckerd3 It was actually on slight uphill and from the emergency lane. Probably the most relaxed 0-60 I've ever done but only slightly above the factory spec of 4.5 seconds. I don't doubt your 4.3 at all and it just confirms to me the car can do a quicker time. BTW, that 392 sounds sweet with the Flowmasters.
@cadillacowboy1 Sounds like the Edmunds video I watched using the 2012 Charger vs Challenger. They had a 4.2 with a one foot roll out and a 4.5 standing 0-60.
@Tuckerd3 If i remember correctly, one must "prime" the ECU by holding revs above 1000 rpm before launching in order to get the best performance from the new SRTs
@ashdude771 Depends on your options, mine came with navigation. The NAV button is on the right side with the audio, files, etc..., also should show NAV at the bottom right of your touch screen.
challenger is more in car looks camaro wont give u an touch screen nav or just enough to put any one in the backset mustang is small with a big engine so duh it faster just depends on what your lookin for
@sergsrt8 I agree, wish that's all I paid for it ;) You used to be able to buy the muscle car and then still have money to add things to make it even faster. Hard to do these days.
@sergsrt8 Dodge is the only one charging that much..don't really know why, they definitely won't win the battle against chevy and ford. You can pick up a 5.0 stang for about 30-35 grand and it's the quickest out of the trio. Although I will agree that the challenger is the only one with "muscle car looks". Looks sick!
@Redsummersun611 A 5.0 Mustang? Maybe you should watch more of my videos.Mustangs don't compare at 412HP and at best around 390 Ft pound of torque. I did a 4.7 sec 0-60 from a stop and go but specs say 4.5 on my ride and a top speed of 175 MPH. I looked up the Mustang GT to be sure and didn't bother with the Camaro because I already know but you may want to compare the specs. BTW, it's great to see American muscle cars fighting it out again :)
Yeah but the new challenger is sleek and is already quite fast without the need for upgrades. The good ol days were the good ol days. muscle cars were cheap. BUT, if you consider how much more is avialable in acars these days, higher prices and muscle cars seems pretty logical if u ask me.
I had achance to drive two of the new 392's on the short road course just outside of Michigan International raceway and they performed great. The course needs repaved (it's all patched with crumbling pavement), so that made us back off on some parts of the course, but these are more than just straight line performers. They may not stay with a Mustang or Camaro on a real twisty course, but they will come darn close. It's surprising how well they handle for a two-ton-plus vehicle.
@Tiger1Claw47 You have a Challenger too? Cool, I'd love to see a video of it, maybe you could show your 0-60 run? Personally didn't think 4.72 was too bad from such a relaxed start, if I get a better time I'll post a video of it. Till I see your run I just have to say sorry to you, I hope this filled your need for attention.
@FirehawkISback After watching your videos I want to put mine on the track even more, the full track run was haulin ass. I've been told that the SRT8 can be somewhat "tire deficient", I tend to agree.
@shehri4life It's getting quicker the more I run it but still only have 1300 miles on it. I feel very fortunate to have been able to buy this car. Everyone rags on the options but I have the only 392 Edition in the state that was sent sent to the largest dealer here. I took what the factory gave them, I'm happy.
lol def looks downhill went from 5.50to 4.7 but looks can be decieving.. but def can see its downhill cause u can see where it starts to flatten out

a muscle car over 45k is so sad, it's a nice car but muscle cars should be affordable. If this exact car was 30K that would be great.
