  • The publicity entity for Heinz thats job was to garner press for the video entries DURING the voting period is based in Chicago, same town as the grand prize winner.

  • Just voted. Good luck!

  • great work guys! i went to the site to watch all the entries and I liked this one the best! You're getting my vote!

  • i love this one! great music and classic faces. just a really fun spot. kudos to whoever made it, its easily my favorite one.

  • Thanks mccarey for the feedback. Raul Fernandez and I made it together and our friend David Tinsley made the song for us. I'll pass along the comment to everyone!

  • whoa, that was awesome! now, gimme some sugga...

  • EVERYONE VOTE FOR THIS!

  • We didn't use a DOF converter. Long lens (zoom actually). The cam was a Sony FX1.

  • whoa, that's pretty incredible. Great photography.

  • Nice work guys! But how the heck are you getting so many hits?? You've got TWICE as many as ours! Agree with Makesfilmz... looks like you had a much bigger budget. Still, as small as it was, we spent only $100!! Anyway, good luck. It'll be fun to see who wins this thing!

  • Thanks. I really like the look of your project as well! Not sure how we are getting so many hits, I guess just good friends passing along the link. Good luck to you too!

  • Definitely a winner. Awesome talent & professionally executed! Congrats on making the top 10!

  • Thanks Travis! We're just really excited to have made it this far.

  • Travis, just watched your entry for the contest.

    Random and hilarious.

    Well done.

  • Thanks! I had fun with the idea...I love the music in your entry! I'll be voting for you guys each day. Congrats, again ;)

  • thanks raul! and good luck to you too!

  • I'm in the top 10 also with Life Lessons. Wow! Yours is really a contender!! Good luck! (but not TOO good luck... I WANT to win!! hehehehe) :-)

    ~Daniel

  • good stuff guys. well worth the vote

  • Yours definitely deserves to be there then. Sorry. Just looked like a $60 thousand dollar spot! But that is to your credit. DOF adapters definitely pull that for you. But more than anything you had the concept which was excellent. Awesome job. Keep it up!

  • Thank you sir. Support appreciated.

  • Looks can be deceiving. Thanks for the love.

Sorry if I came off a bit angry. Love.

  • Addendum: Forgot to say that this indeed was an excellent spot -- I do agree. Just looks made by a professional production facility, that's all.

  • Too Hollywood produced. This spot uses thousands of dollars worth of video equip, post-production editing, professional cast, and crew.

This could have easily been achieved with a Wal-Mart camcorder and perhaps more to the spirit of this contest.

  • Bitter much? We spent like $500 total. We're poor college students who know how to be creative with money.

We cast all non-union volunteer actors (some hadn't acted in decades).

I shot it myself with a rented camera, on the cheap, from a school mate.

The crew was a handful of our friends.

We edited it ourselves in a few hours at home with a cracked version of Final Cut Pro.

    Don't be hater, man. Geez.

  • Boo, you lie! Boo!

No, seriously, he doesn't lie. I was gaffer on the spot and we did it with like 3 crew members and a small handful of lights, only two of which were rented.

Sorry Raul, I promise I'll stop bragging that I gaffed this.

  • This was supposed to be a reply of Raul saying they only spent $500 on it. Don't know why it ended up here at the top.

    Don't I feel sheepish.

  • shot very nicely

  • Santa Claus had a cameo in there

  • this is really sweet! well shot and edited, love it!!

  • Raul...the guy at 00:09...is that Steve Carell? If not, it easily could be.

  • Great spot!!!Fabulous faces. No ketchup splattering on burgers and hot dogs. Wonderful idea!!

    A winner for sure.!!!!!

  • Looks great guys. Keep up the good work. How did you get such a shallow depth of field with such a wide lens (AKA what lens, at what stop, on what format)? This spot rocks, -Nick

  • HVX200 using the Red Rock 35mm adapter with PL mount Zeiss super speed lenses at a F1.4. THANKS!

  • 18mm... sorry.

  • This spot will resonate with anyone who actually played spin the bottle...remember the thrill when it landed on someone you were dying to kiss? I do. Loved each face and the music was perfect. Nice connection to Heinz Ketchup--which after 57 yrs still tastes the best! Original twist-one can only take so many people dressed up as hot dogs and condiments.

  • This great! lol funny spot! i'm still laughing! 5*****

    love the music too!

Check out and rate mine @ Zbar16 Thanks and Best Of Luck!

  • well done, its one of the best i've seen

  • well shot, it's too bad so many other's failed at the idea.
