I JAM SCREW (IM FROM HOUSTON), RAPO BUT IN MY 6 DISK CHANGER I GOT A MIXED DRAMATICS CD, 3 OTHER OLD SKOOLS AND 2 RAP CD'S. I WISH GROUPS WERE LIKE THIS TODAY!

  • Strong lyrics + strong melodies = real music. 1:07- 1:21 was the heart dropper. But the worst part was after 3:14.

  • always love the words to this song! says alot about it all in love

  • i love the dramatics best of 70s from aby wolverhampton uk

  • Okay, the Leos got their own little line

  • These guys never got what they deserved. Truly gifted!

  • How could one city (Detroit) be responsible for putting out just great singing groups, like the Dramatics?

  • i love them soooo much!!!!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG, I'M OLDSCHOOL ALL THE WAY

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!

  • It just doesn't get any better! The lyrics, the music, the voices, the "moves" - Come on! The Dramatics at their best!

  • This IS misuc...REAL music. Ole Skool FOREVER!!!

  • this is truly what music should be like

  • Such a smooth song!

  • Danced myself into married life with this very song last night. My love just grows and grows...

  • great!!

  • You can see the influence that the MOTOWN machine with its precision choreographer, Cholly Adkins, had on the groups that emerged at that time from Detroit & beyond in the mid 60s. The TEMPTATIONS' precision & harmony created a higher quality game that the DRAMATICS proved very capable of stepping up to. I do believe the emotional strain so many of these artists experienced in the 60s & 70s was largely due to the unfairness of radio airplay along segregated lines that deeply affected cash flow.

  • not only was music so much better back in the day, they also knew how to dress

  • Wow!!! The music of this era speaks volumes and also speaks for itself. At the same time think about the song these men did with Snoop Dogg. It only suggests to me The Dramatics embraced the up coming artist. Music is forever evolving, lets not thrash the new generation for their contributions to music... P.S. "thrash the lyrics" ;-)

  • STILL MY JAM ... I LOVE THIS SONG I WAS IN THE 10 TH GRADE

  • This is how i know music is so shitty today with the exception of maybe a ''few''.this classic song only has 291 thousand views, and bullshit like souljah boy, lady gaga, gucci mane & other no singing so called artist have millions of views.at 44 i love my all the 60's-90's music, but there's nothing like REAL groups,GREAT voices, & music that has substance & creativity.all that was traded in for bitche's,cars, money, bling (ice),guns,& other materialistic bullshit.no more love for the people & music

  • at 1:09....could possibly be Lloyd's father....

  • I will always love L.J and the dramatics

  • BEST GROUP EVER I DONT GIVE A HECK IF YOU THINK DIFFERENT.

  • Lenny Mayes and Ron Banks are sexy along with LJ Reynolds!

  • L J was as smooth as a babies behind. That brother can blow. Lj went solo and had a song called " ain't no woman like my baby". It's a beautiful love song about the appreciation of his woman. Lyrics like these will never be heard again.

  • oh my god. I was in like 1st or 2nd grade. wow reminds me I used to be young...lol

  • this is true soul! it would be cool to see new edition redo this cut as a tribute!

  • this is true soul!

  • I get goose bumbs when ever I hear this song. It's hittin on all cylinders, lol.

  • god damn. this song continually reminds me that music sucks, compared to the 70's. I grew up in 76. but I feel such an attachment to this music, its insane. The music today is nothing what it once was an it is such a shame that our current music is filled with lyrics about bitches, drugs, expensive cars, gucci this and that. this is when music was all about love, being true to yourself and your lover, and pouring out your heart to the world. and the showmanship of these groups are phenomonal

  • @NyAllstar0621k meant i was born in '76 :P glad my dad exposed me to this music.

  • @NyAllstar0621k i was in thge 10 th grade,when this hit...i love this song

  • @NyAllstar0621k , I know what you mean LOL, it just hurts all over dont it?

  • @NyAllstar0621k I agree with you on this music. This is real music. I heard this song on the radio and had to go look it up on here. Man they got the steps and the sound. I don't know what's up with the music today. It's all the same song by a differe artist.

  • I will always love the Dramatics!

  • So Soul!

  • Another one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite groups...these men are so talented and I will continue to listen to them forever...good music never dies

  • RIP Ron Banks! Probably the baddest falsetto there every was!

  • that was an awesome performance..... I love this group...

  • michele dalton gallop

  • maybe scorpio?....gets no love...lol!

  • SOUL!

  • ut its not a coincidence that lenny, lj, and wee gee idolized david ruffin and ron idolized eddie kendricks becuz they were the best ever ruffin the best singer ever and eddie the best falsetto ever

  • @tramizal I agree!

  • just found out this month that ron passed which is a shame they need to say something on tv or the radio when these great singers pass show them the respect they deserve but ron, lenny, and wee gee all monster singers

  • The Dramatic ......... What more can you say about the 70's . They were the best . Their tune's bring back so many good memories of growing up in a Los angeles , ca subburb [ Bassett Grande ] and it records a time in my mind , of a time spent overseas , a whole different world back then ....... peace out .......

  • good song,awesome

  • The Reynolds rap is to me is the best living R&B

singer out there. His range and power is 2nd to

none, Reynolds and Ron were the best combination my ears have ever heard. A distant

second would have been the great Eddie Kendricks and the great David Ruffin. RIP

    Ron.

  • so true, who could top that?

  • Thanks for posting this video. And thanking God for the opportunity to enjoy the music of the Dramatics ... love them and their music will continue to live on.

  • I'll miss the sweet voice of Ron Banks. So glad we have the music he left.

  • We'll miss you Ron

  • Ron Bank was one fine dude.

  • Which one is Ron?

  • Ron Banks is the last one to the right in this video hitting the high notes.

  • Banks, whose sweet falsetto helped give the Dramatics its signature sound, was a Detroit native who was born May 10, 1951.The Dramatics scored its first R&B-charting single (No. 43) in 1967 "All Because of You." But it wasn't until four years later that the group broke into national consciousness with the 1971 Stax/Volt hit "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get," which peaked at No. 3 on the R&B chart and No. 9 on the pop list. It claimed an R&B No. 1 the following year with "In the Rain."

  • RIP. Ron Banks!! Dramatics your the best!!!

  • Ron you will be Miss R.I.P!!!

  • R.I.P. RON

  • Ron Banks would often sit in during our radio show The Old School House Party with Gerald McBride on Mix 92.3. I videotaped him the last time he was in the studio with us. He was a really great guy. The entertainment world has lost an untouchable talent.

    God Bless You Ron!!!

    Lady T

  • My sister and I have been following the Dramatics since we were teenagers in Cleveland, Ohio at Club 105 on E. 105 St. My husband and I went to see the Dramatics in 2009 in downtown Cleveland. I love Ron Banks and the Dramatics. My prayers are with the Banks Family. Ron will definitely be missed. The Dramatics will live forever in our hearts!!!

  • now he wit his friend lenny mayes @ 0:16 11/08/04 r.i.p.

  • Ron and L.J. Reynolds was the best one two punch in the business. and it is a dam shame

the Dramatics are not in the rock and roll hall of

    fame,

  • Ditto. They've been signing for years. It took the O'Jays a while to get there too, but they finally got recognized.

  • Ohhhh Ron! Ladies do you know how some guys just "Do It" for ya.....they have that "Look". Well, Ron had the voice to go with it and that made a combination that worked. I hate he had to leave this place so soon. He did not age well. Maybe he was sick or something in his latter years. Maybe he did'nt take care of himself like many men neglect to do. I'm so sorry.

  • RIP Ron Banks; thanks for being a part of one of the greatest groups of all times. We will miss you.

  • Ron Banks...another icon of REAL MUSIC has gone.....gone to sing in heavan with Lenny. Thanks for leaving us the cuts that will forever keeps those special memorines alive in our hearts.

  • @mikmuse6 YeH! Thanks for mentioning Lenny Mayes , because is due his props too. Lienny was such a GREAT SINGER! And I miss Lenny, Ron, Wee Gee (awesome siinger) and Elbertt Wilkins. Life is soo precious.

Give your love ones their flowers and praises while they are yet alive!

    PEACE!!!!

  • @Mistyyflyy Is Elbert Wilkins the first Temptation that died? Before they got their big break?

  • @mikmuse6 Elbert Wilkins was a member of the Dramatics not tthe Temptations. Also he was the first noted Dramatic to died. However they already had their big break before Elbert died. They had a number one hit "In The Rain". Whatca See Is Whatca You Get, Hey You Get Off My Mountain , to name a few hits.

    Thanks

  • @Mistyyflyy Hey, thanks for the info. I thought I knew them all, but I guess not. When did he pass? I never knew Wee Gees real name.,but they all lived in the neighborhood; Conant Gardens, and Larry lived across the tracks.
