what kind of carb are you running, 30mm? i have a '63 vespa 125 with an lml 200 crate motor and px forks and a polini pipe but what carb should i use because the stock carb doesnt work too well, anyway nice lammy
@xbecca25 Cheers, xbecca, it's a Mikuni TMX 35 mm carb which is about perfect for this engine. Sorry I don't have any experience with LML engines, but you might want to check with one of the Vespa tuning shops on the west coast (California). They might be able to point you in the right direction.
lambrettist2007- Will try & check out this 2 cylinder vids! A 41 year old scoot chucking out 27-30 at the back wheel is impressive! .....Just gotta win the lotto now! LOL! Best wishes!
Thank you, martynpank! She's a good scooter for being 41 years old! It's a very revvy 2 stroke single cylinder engine, but if I keep it in the powerband it really moves.
There's also a new Lambretta 2 cylinder engine, the Targa Twin 250. There's a few videos on YouTube you could watch to whet your appetite.
In the city it does, no problems as no one goes over 80 mph. Sure they can leave me after that, but 0-80 mph and I stay right with 'em. I haven't dynoed it but it should be somewhere around 27 - 30 hp at the rear wheel, which is plenty of power for a bike this light.
@tpvalley They're LambrettaWorks tradenames for their TS1 tunes. Well named, as the Annihilator certainly annhilates clutch plates. blackacre was right, this needs a 6 plate clutch.
Thank you! I've mostly ridden it with a local sport bike club and it keeps up with most 600 cc bike in acceleration to 70 or 80 mph which is all you need in the city ;-)
Hope you don't let WCLW gouge you too much with that stage 4 porting. You should get stage 10 for what they charge...That Humiliator kit is pretty quick out of the box...My friend built one with a 35mm Mikuni a five place clutch from MB Developments and he added a boost bottle from Scooter Centre, Germany, which I would recommend if you want the added torque.A five a six plate clutch should be added if you want to experience the full power going through the gears. You'll burn 4 plate clutches
Cheers, blackacre2112, they didn't charge too much and the porting is decent. I've the new MBD lightweight rear sprocket so I've room for 5 plate which I'll do with the next clutch rebuild, or I might try the Foxhat spider or CLW and go 6 plate (thin plates).
Winter's here so I'm doing a fork rebuild with all SS parts from MBD, a new wiring loom and switches, and then put her back together with the ported top end. Should go nicely, I hope.
Thank you, scooterclubmadrid! Hopefully I'll get to meet some of you at Euro Lambretta in 2010, and maybe bring this bike. By then it might have an RB 25 engine if the Annihilator isn't fast enough :D

Going 6-plate clutch with this motor as the 4-plate really slips bad, even with Barnett springs.

nice little bike, I prefer the BMW R80, a much more useful bike

@peroduanippa R80 maybe more useful, but pretty boring. If I need useful I have a van for that. This scooter is all for fun.

I'm a former biker & would love a scoot. I want a YPVS Lammy, but would be quite happy with this!

Quality scooter, not that happy with the colour choices (nothing personal) bet it goes like a turd off a trowel.

Hey, m8, it was early spring and the engine is 13:1 compression, an' that's hard to kick when wearing worn out Chuck Taylors. ;-)
