@kyolym There was a definite reaction here. Just because something doesn't happen the way you believe it should, doesn't mean it didn't happen at all.
Jesus... can you imagine the detailed descriptions he could give to a, say, computer motherboard with CPU? "This has fine engraving done with chemical deposition, on the scale of nanometers, it's truly amazing how this was accomplished. The craftsmanship is just remarkable. It even still has the brand name, Intel, on the CPU. This would conservatively sell for several hundred thousand!" Sell your antiques. Get the value out of it now and into hard assets, overvalued bubble markets pop.
yea, but there gess won't be right, the'll have to look at it to see its actual value, but you can look up what it is by typing what you think it is and get a good guess
i hope the roadshow comes near me soon, my grandma left me a hair comb jeweled piece that she got from marilyn monroe in the early 40's...she used to work at a hotel where marilyn stayed couple nights during a shoot of a movie...marilyn had left it in her room and my granny sent it back to her...about 2 months later she got a sign letter and picture back from marilyn saying thank u for the return of the hair piece but that she felt my grandma should keep it...ive had it since she passed
Great story, and I encourage you to check the Roadshow website for the cities that are on the 2009 tour (namely, Atlantic City, Raleigh, Madison, Denver, Phoenix, and San Jose in that order from June 6 through August 15, 2009).
this is why I love collecting antiques, not for their intrinsic value, but for the stories behind them; you can almost feel the history emanating out of from them. Thanks for sharing your story. :)
Hey now - where is the $150,000 to $180,000 diamond ring? Or is this a my favorites list? I'm not trying to demean your choices in any way if this is your opinion.
wheres the lady that bought a harp an estate auction of a direct descendant of napolean and it turned out to be marie antionettes harp it was worth 190,000 and she only paid a couple thousand for it
Thanks for the videos. I hope the Roadshow comes to my city sometime. My brother has a very rare (only 4 ever made) Elvis single with Elivis on the B-side. It was a studio promo that was never released. He had not yet had his first hit.

I wouldn't pay a grand for this. I can far nicer custom made ones for like $5K, and we're talking about sterling engravings everywhere.

I have an original Oscar Meyer weenie whistle lol. It was recalled because it was a choking hazard.
zombiepi 3 years ago 2
You should post a video of yourself, blowing the weenie whistle.
That didn't sound quite right.
Ultranothing 3 years ago
I would also like to request a video of you blowing said weenie whistle.
