  • I think it's fair to say very few would pay 150K for this.

  • "The Last of the Mohicans"

  • I wouldn't pay a grand for this. I can far nicer custom made ones for like $5K, and we're talking about sterling engravings everywhere.

  • @Microglia1 "WE'RE" not talking any such thing but YOU'RE talking like a moron.

  • @mrfester42 oh shut your trap. A moron does not watch antiques road show. I consider myself second tier upper class.

  • title is spelt wrong

  • @slickness85 You're right! Thank you for the correction.

  • @slickness85 You're a pin head and you need a dictionary as well!

  • I dont get some of these people on road show, do they tell the people getting appraisals if they show any reaction what so ever they will be shot?

  • @kyolym There was a definite reaction here. Just because something doesn't happen the way you believe it should, doesn't mean it didn't happen at all.

  • @fallios yes Benny Hill and Monty Python. Thank God we have never redone those !!!

  • @fallios Oh, you're just mad because we won the war...

  • @fallios The Revolutionary War fool

  • Jesus... can you imagine the detailed descriptions he could give to a, say, computer motherboard with CPU? "This has fine engraving done with chemical deposition, on the scale of nanometers, it's truly amazing how this was accomplished. The craftsmanship is just remarkable. It even still has the brand name, Intel, on the CPU. This would conservatively sell for several hundred thousand!" Sell your antiques. Get the value out of it now and into hard assets, overvalued bubble markets pop.

  • $150,000 ??! SOLD !!

  • can you get things appraised online.

  • yea, but there gess won't be right, the'll have to look at it to see its actual value, but you can look up what it is by typing what you think it is and get a good guess

  • wow, who made this title fo the vid? haha

  • Why?

  • it says eleventh place..top ten?

  • Aw SHIT! I never even realized that! Now I have to go and change all of the video titles. Thanks alot! :)

  • or just rerase this one, and it will be easier, haha

  • No, what I'll do is rename this one. Good eye, mate!

  • haha, i like it

  • My God!

  • good vid.. 11 out of 10

  • If I was this guy I would not rest until I found those missing pieces.

  • yeah seems plausible to go looking for shit you lost when you were a kid, god knows where

  • I just bought one just like that on ebay for $60

  • yeah it's exactly the "same" ..... *sarcasm* ;)

  • i bet if it still had the cap it would of went for $200,000

  • i hope the roadshow comes near me soon, my grandma left me a hair comb jeweled piece that she got from marilyn monroe in the early 40's...she used to work at a hotel where marilyn stayed couple nights during a shoot of a movie...marilyn had left it in her room and my granny sent it back to her...about 2 months later she got a sign letter and picture back from marilyn saying thank u for the return of the hair piece but that she felt my grandma should keep it...ive had it since she passed

  • Great story, and I encourage you to check the Roadshow website for the cities that are on the 2009 tour (namely, Atlantic City, Raleigh, Madison, Denver, Phoenix, and San Jose in that order from June 6 through August 15, 2009).

  • this is why I love collecting antiques, not for their intrinsic value, but for the stories behind them; you can almost feel the history emanating out of from them. Thanks for sharing your story. :)

  • Hey now - where is the $150,000 to $180,000 diamond ring? Or is this a my favorites list? I'm not trying to demean your choices in any way if this is your opinion.

  • aww i bet he felt kinda bad.

  • "Don't play with it any more!.."

  • wheres the lady that bought a harp an estate auction of a direct descendant of napolean and it turned out to be marie antionettes harp it was worth 190,000 and she only paid a couple thousand for it

  • I have an original Oscar Meyer weenie whistle lol. It was recalled because it was a choking hazard.

  • You should post a video of yourself, blowing the weenie whistle.

    That didn't sound quite right.

  • I would also like to request a video of you blowing said weenie whistle.

  • well shit, me too i got one in my attic

  • Thanks for the videos. I hope the Roadshow comes to my city sometime. My brother has a very rare (only 4 ever made) Elvis single with Elivis on the B-side. It was a studio promo that was never released. He had not yet had his first hit.

  • Thanks for posting all the videos! Very entertaining!

  • i would have sold it to a museum for 500,000

  • haha.

  • lmao! he sounded like the guy on the #1 antiques roadshow items when he said OMIGOD! =D
