It seems to me that Nick likes Vanessa for her stable personality since he really needed someone more like a "wife" by his side, but I don't think his body language shows as strong of a connection as he had felt for Jessica. If you watch clips of when Nick and Jess were still together, you can see that he is ALWAYS looking at her and really cares about her.

I can totally see how Nick's body language doesn't speak loud enough about how in love he is w/Vanessa. His love with Jessica was more radiant & magical--he looked happier. But you're right, Nick needed a more stable, devoted wife and I think that's what he sees in Vanessa--their personalities match. Nick & Jess' love is the love I want, though...

If you search "Nick Lachey's Wedding Moments" vid, it contrasts short clips from his wedding to Jessica and to Vanessa, and you can really see how he was very attracted and connected to Jessica both emotionally and physically.

People say that what he feels for Vanessa is more "mature," but I think he's simply content with the safeness of their relationship and is willing to accept it.
