I absolutely loved it. Nothing too complex, but very enjoyable. Looks beautiful, smells wonderful, lively flavours. Some Belgians you can't have all the time. This I can drink pretty often. Sadly it's a bit hard to find. This and Maredsous are my favorite non-Chimay Belgians.
what about rochefort 10? or westvleteren 12? st.bernardus? duvel? theres lots of better beers then this. This is like the middle of the road for belgian beers in my opinion. Good review CHEERS
I'd say Newcastle Brown Ale is pretty common world wide and would be a fairly safe bet. Bass is also a decent "starter beer" for those looking to try something other than the really big name mass-produced stuff..
drinking one as i watch this. the bottle fermentation gives it a champaign like quality. little bubbles that contribute to the flavor. high alcohol that you never will notice. chimay may have its work cut out. affligem doesn't approach you as arrogantly either. six pack, ten bucks. i'm a brewer and i would give my life to brew something this fine.
If u come across somewhere whit ''Sinebrychoff Porter'' i would like to see u giving review of that, since its rly only finnish beer worth tasting there :o It has been elected one of the best imported beers in US and won couple silver medals in beer olympics and many other beer prizes around the globe :PPP just pointing out as a finnish beer lover if u happen to ever see it in your liquor store xD
Yeah, I just got over a week and a half of the worst cold I've had in about ten years. Still had a bit of a lingering cough. I'm much better now, thankfully. Cheers.
Have you tried any brews from Stoudt's? It's an American brewery and I don't know if they export up there but if they do, I hope you give them a try. My favorites so far are their Fat Dog Stout and their Double IPA. Dogfish Head is another stellar craft brewery in the U.S. I had some of their Punkin' Ale over Thanksgiving and it was wonderful!
An absolutely AWESOME beer!!
