You redknecks should just be grateful for Obama, period. Having received his mandate for social reform from the American people in the election of 2008, Obama and his team went to work to save this country from a economic disaster caused by the REPUBLICANS !!!
@SEIUMAN The state of the economy can rarely be blamed on a single party, or person. That being said, "Obama and his team" have not helped the economy at all, and I doubt a republican could have either.
The capital building is part of our property (as Wisconsinites).
Also GOP state senators were refusing to talk to people who live in their own districts during the protests (even if they came to the offices in groups of 1 or 2)-says a bit about if they are working for "us".
@pplr1 Democratic senators in districts that opposed obama care didn't listen to their voters either. So, tell me once again, who really works for us. I hope you don't think its the democrats and the mafia that protect teachers that fail students or police who abuse their power. Unions are the biggest special interest group in the U.S. When the biggest special interest group should be American school kids and people abused by police who get to abuse their power, then let their mafia protect them
Actually my one of my former US Senators went around, met with, and got yelled at by the people who disagreed on the healthcare bill. He was Feingold and even if he disagreed with people he held town hall meetings to speak with them. The GOP state senators did not.
Moreover someone who was hired by the GOP to work on recalling one of the Democratic State Senators was a felon and stealing people stuff as he went around-tell me about criminals are again....
"I am a Libertarian you fucking idiot. You do realize there is more than 2 parties don't you? Democraps and Republicans suck. Dems want to take your freedom and Reps want to take your money."
I know there are over a dozen parties. But when it gets down to it you would rather insult people than admit you like to call yourself a libertarian while following GOP propaganda.
A more democratic libertarian I've spoken with feels this is an attack on freedom to assemble.
Even if you disagree with someone more libertarian than yourself you talk about freedom and ignore that my lying governor is taking away choices from people and trying to rig elections.
One of the reasons dictators don't like unions is because they aren't under the dictator's thumb and have elections.
Having elections means you pick your leaders-if one is petty enough to strike on paper towels that is partly the voters fault.
If Walker wants to do stuff way worse thats different.
About rigging elections, did you even bother to check out how. If he makes a union vote very year on if it exists that wastes time. If 70% (higher rate than vote for US Pres) of the members vote and 70% (clear majority of the vote) want to keep their union he breaks the union anyway.
Because his law was written in a way to rig unions' elections. It requires a majority of all possible votes to be yes. Anyone sits out and he counts their vote as no-that is trying to rig elections.
"This is not about trying make unions not exist you brain washed moron. It's about collective bargaining. The ability for unions to threaten their bosses with walk offs and violence."
Is it a joke that you call anyone brain washed after these 3 sentences?
Yes it is threatening unions' ability to exist.
When unions are required to hold elections every year on if they exist-as this "budget repair bill" does-and try to rig these elections to so if the answer is no that is a threat.
Oh, and I actually spoke with someone on an actual school board (a bit like the teachers' bosses) and the violence threatened with was a death threat at a member who supported trying to write up a contract with a union rather than follow Walker's lead.
You ever going to come up with a reason why if 70% of union members vote (higher % than show up on political election days) and 70% (landslide majority) want to keep their union it somehow their desire to break their union?
there was a teabagging rally in minnesota a year or so ago and they were the scariest people I've ever seen. this video is nothing compared to what I saw there. the wisconsin workers are fighting for their rights and should be respected. i hope you teabaggers lose your bennies and wages and let's see if you won't be mad either!
@philip0460 The Tea Partiers didn't invade the capitol bldg, trespass upon gov property, be as loud as possible w/musical instruments toward being disruptive, nor have bogus medical examinations to enable workers to leave on bogus grounds. You have nothing but your feelings and your perceptions, but no actual facts. This video shows actual facts.
Now go read a book on economics: Basic Economics, by Thomas Sowell. Applied Economics: Thinking Past Stage 1, Thomas Sowell.
Ignorant uneducated MORONS. Imagine trying to have an intelligent conversation with these POS losers of LOW intelligence. I DON'T: talk to, hang out with, buy from, sell to, interact with, date, marry, do business with, support, associate with, hire, work with, ignorant, uneducated, brainwashed, hateful, racist, sheeple libturds ! These peoploe are the POS scum of the lower class of America.
i totally agree. couldnt of said it any better myself. i'm union, and embarrassed by these morons. union bosses are the scum, people like stern, trumpka, who USE the WORKERS. i hate liberals
Commie left socialist agenda drones been drinking the kool aid Obama gives them for too long now. Drones to the Union thug leaders with no free will among them. You are the ones destroying the nation...
@cbasswm - "white power"? some people just cannot help themselves. They must play the race card whatever the issue. How many race cards are there in a deck anyway? You're a moron cbasswm.
The dumb fuck at 3:24 looks like he could be Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger's father. If so, obviously any brains Ben has he didn't get from his father.
I watched the whole thing, twice. How was he assaulted? Where was he touched? Does it even matter? Looks like the situation with that congressman who was tackled to the ground. You have to create incidents and the perception of what happened. If that video is your example of TP violence. Your argument is over. That video is just as inconclusive and the Fox reporters claim that he got punched in Wisconsin. Grow up dude.
If only 7% of the private sector is in unions, why do unions think they are the only "working people" in America? The other 93% of us are working too!!!
If these were Tea Party Americans this would be all over main stream media. The hypocracy is overwhelming. I am sure a majority of the union members do not understand that they are nothing but pawns for these thugs. Don't you understand you are simply being used by the far left socialist agenda. It is not about you, you are being used.
@3martijns "Government Jobs are Paid with Tax Money, so they Subtract from the Economy!!"
They don't actually, because they spend their paychecks on the economy just like the rest of us - local businesses, keeping up mortgage & car payments, etc. While Bush was in office, public sector employment grew much faster than private. If it weren't for public sector jobs the economy would be far worse off than it already is.
A question I ask private sector union workers that are supporting these parasite public sector unions is have they supported you while 42,000 factories have closed in the US since 2001?
Teachers and especially university employees have looked down their noses at auto workers for years. Now they need your support and you are dumb enough to stand with them.
Drive through a public school and/or university employee parking lot and tell me how many imported cars you see.
If I was president, I would outlaw all unions, declare them to be terrorist groups, hammer them with both RICO and the Patriot Act, arrest and execute all their members and supporters, and seize all their assets and property.
@granubandjim Have you seen the one of a tea bagger sucker punching a libertarian protester at a McCain-Palin rally? Needless to say they're hypocrites.
@ismeme I thought you were going to give an example of tea party violence. I'm not even sure what the hell we're looking at there. Looks like msnbc saw enough in that clip to use it as an example. An example of what you ask? Good fng question.
@ismeme I watched the whole thing, twice.
@hatfisc First of all, "dude", I'm a woman, and I was more "grown up" at your age than you are. What's your excuse?
Second, if you can't see him being assaulted from behind by the guy in the white shirt at 1:52 you're either blind or a liar. No one's "creating" anything except people like you, who don't seem to mind people's rights being violated as long as it's someone you disagree with. Most people aren't that disturbingly partisan.
The Teabaggers-Kochsuckers had move violent rallies then any of the 3 or 4 cases of somebod getting pushed down for being mouthy on the union protests.
Were any of these clips shown on our NEW State Run Media ie: PMSNBC, CBS , ABC or CNN? I think not. Perhaps they're saving these clips to run after the next Tea Party rally. And these bastards accuse the Tea Party of violence & racism? BULLSHIT. Although this Tea Partier would enjoy at this point, kicking a few Communist & union asses. I won't start it but I will certainly finish it!
Years ago in his epic ‘I Have A Dream’ speech, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. warned of “drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred.” Today, Obama eagerly serves up that cup, and these government union thugs greedily guzzle from it.
A year's worth of tea party protests, comprised of millions of people across the country and not a single act of violence. a week of pro-union protests comprised of a few thousands and violence abounds. I'm SOOOOOOOOO SURPRISED.
unions=thugs
their entire enterprise is based on bullying people into submission, be they taxpayers, politicians, non-union workers, whomever. i'd love for one of these cowards to come at me. love it.
Whether you're liberal or conservative, the way they're trying to ram through this legislation without any debate (and then holding school budgets hostage) is wrong. Collective bargaining rights for public sector unions warrants a discussion but you're seeing a lot of angry people in the streets because there are undemocratic methods being used to push this bill through. Mad people are mad, and that's what you're seeing in this video. Nothing more, nothing less.
Not equals just able to put food on the table, raise a family, put a kid through college take them to the hospitol when they get sick,be able to spend time with our children not be owned by the company and be able to retire with dignity. Not equal just able thats all union members want!
@sully328 Our ideas of what the American dream is doesn't sound as different as the punidts want us to think. This was a good and civil way to conclude a debate. I wish you well.
What I believe is that we as Americans fundamentally did not want to design our nation that way. As logical as it may sound, which i personally don't agree with, we never intended to create a society that put limitations on an individual. I never mentioned the dreaded "SOCIALISM" word yet but that's where it would lead us. Taking more from taxpayers with a corrupt and ineffective system designed to make us all social equals. I do not demonize you if you think otherwise.
Not even close! But imagine what the tax base would be if we where all union cause everyone knows the more ya make the more they take. Hell i could get the garbage man to come right to the house to pick up my garbage or have my street salted to not just plowed over to expose the ice. Oh man the possibilities could be endless. Im for it where do we sign (without being forced of course)lol Former Soviet Union!? Cmon read "Animal farm" thats what Walker is doing!
@hatfisc I guess im not sure where the argument between public and private is? Public in general or private unions. I am a private union member and are membership supports private unions 100%. As for Walker yeah striping collective bargaining wasnt what they signed up for, when the unions win and we are Walker will be recalled.
@sully328 yeah, I understand that there are public and private sector unions. Youtube character limitations had me using those words to separate union vs. non union. I feel what you're saying.
Your right, you got me there lets see I can go to McDonalds a very sucessful buisness and earn 8 bucks an hour. Is that what you want. HMMM New York Jersey, being from the mid west you would be inclined to tell me that because of population mass they may have more services than you and that those services cost money. Imagine how much better your schools would be without right to work hell you could lead the Nation!
@sully328 Sarcasm is cool but lets imagine if 100% of the American workforce was unionized instead of the 10-12% that it is now. The McDonalds worker would have to earn over 20 dollars an hour just to pay property taxes and public utilities alone. My god that sounds like the former Soviet Union.
Tax the rich, funny how the short fall in the budget is the same amount they gave in tax breaks to their rich corporate donors. We are talking about those who plow your street pick up your garbage, teach your children, take care of you when you need to go to the hospitol, keep your house from burning down, protect your street, keep the animal population is in check (DNR) fix your roads, keep going or should we just eliminate those services and or tell those folks that you dont think they are worth it
Oh and just an FYI teachers at the University of Wisconsin at Lacrosse have been teaching without a union. Just last week by a 90% vote those teachers voted to join the Union! Scott Walker has done more so far to help Unions than he has to destroy them!!!
@597914 Your argueing with a wall non of these people know how a union works, in most cases officials are elected, contracts are voted on, by-laws are voted on.Unions may possibly be more democratic than the counrty we live in. I worked non-union and trust me the grass is greener on the other side! I wasnt forced to join a union I was just smart enough to do so! I AM THE UNION
AS A MATTER OF FACT COLLECTIVE BARGAINING DOES TEACH OUR STUDENT.BY BARGAINING CLASS SIZE INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS GET MORE ATTENTION IN SMALLER CLASS SIZE! MAKE SENSE!YOU WANNA GO ON WAGES NEXT BECAUSE UNION WAGES RAISES YOUR WAGE TO, ITS CALLED COMPETITIVE WAGES! WHO DO YOU THINK THEY COMPETE WITH.I HIGHLY DOUBT YOULL EARN WHAT YOUR WORTH WITHOUT UNIONS SETTING THE WAGE STADARD! AND NOW YOU JUST SOUND LIKE YOUR PISSED CAUSE SOMEONE MIGHT GET SOMETHING YOUR NOT!50 K A YEAR IS HARDLY HAPPINESS!
@sully328 50k a year is a living wage. The free market sets the cost of products and services and the individual success of the business dictates workers wages. It's our American system. Look at states like New York and New Jersey. What does it cost to live there? What are the tax rates? That's my point.I live in a Midwest state that is a right to work state. Competetive. If you're valuable, you get the fair wage.Taxes here are the among the lowest in the country and we have excellent schools.
@hatfisc SOME WHERE IN YOUR INCOHERANT GARBLE I THINK YOUR TELLING ME THAT THE AMERICAN WORKER HAS NO RIGHT TO EARN A DECENT WAGE OR BE ABALE TO RETIRE WITH DIGNITY, THAT AMERICANS PRODUCE GARBAGE AND WE SHOULD BE THANKFUL TO EARN A BOWL OF RICE AND LIVE IN FILTH? IS THAT IT? IS THAT WHAT YOUR ARE SAYING YOU COMMUNIST PIG!?!?
@sully328 Was that incoherent or are you from a state without collective bargaining? That cracked me up. So you're saying that collective bargaining teaches our students or do the teachers? Kind of a conflicting statement don't you think? You're also confused about who is eating bowls of rice and who is protected from being terminated no matter how incompetent they are. You're also really making it sound like you deserve happiness above everyone else? Where did you pick this up and why?
AMERICAN BY BIRTH UNION BY CHIOCE! iF REPUBLICANS WERENT SO HELL BENT ON KILLING THE MIDDLE CLASS THAN I WOULDNT HAVE TO PUT ALL MY EGGS IN THE DEMOCRATS BASKET! TAX PAYERS DONT PAY FOR THEIR UNION BENIFITS THEY EARN IT!!! THEY EARN TAX MONEY TO PROTECT YOUR STREETS KEEP YOUR HOUSE FROM BURNING DOWN AND EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN! 6 STATES DONT HAVE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING FOR TEACHERS AND THOSE SAME 6 STATES ALSO HAVE THE LOWEST SAT SCORES IN THE NATION! WHOS FUTURE ARE WE TALKING ABOUT!
@sully328 They earn it huh? Ok, why don't you earn your right to earn a wage. Why doesn't your union compete and earn the job the pays the salaries, benefits and pensions? Everyone has to compete except for you and you get paid more to do inferior work or produce an inferior product. Go see how much your worth out there in the competetive world.
DAMN RIGHT STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS OR JUST LAY THERE AND GET KICKED!!! THE FIGHT IS ON AND IF "GET A LITTLE BLOODY" MEANS KEEPING MY RIGHTS THE RING THE FUCKIN BELL!!! IM NOT A UNION BOSS OR A UNION LEADER, I GET UP PUT MY BOOTS ON, GRAB MY LUNCH BUCKET AND GO EARN MY BENIFITS JUST LIKE TEACHERS DO!!! I AM THE UNION!!!!!
These people are not from Wisconsin. There has been NO violence and NO injuries in the 14 days of protesting. We have been living in harmony with the cops. Please don't trust everything that's been spoon fed to you.
@jfsfrnd Don't start that now. The right wing was complaining about the same thing when videos like this were released about crazy loons at Tea Parties. "oooh they're plants from the left wing. There's even a website they put up." Let's just keep things simple shall we? There's loony toons in both groups. Videos like this are inconclusive. Someone says such-n-such group is more peaceful than another such-n-such group and an edited video comes out to throw that idea out the window.
What I think is funny is the Unions have heavily invested their pensions in the Koch Industries, LOL, is that rich or what? The very person they HATE, is who they have invested their pensions. According to the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB), the Wisconsin Retirement System owns $5.5 million in Georgia Pacific corporate bonds. (Georgia Pacific is owned by Koch Industries.)
people are barely holding on to what they have in this economy....barely. Power to the unions. Power to people. Learn your history moron(hannityforpres). This country was founded/industrialization on unionized movements. Read a book sir.
@demianhesse1 Please tell me how union member are "barely holding on." Looks like they're more comfortable and safe where they're at. The private sector is suffering, "barely holding on" and have to worry if their job will still be there next week. You? No, you are just fine like the rich fat cats that you're making straw men. I repect the Unions but please, know when and how to pick your fights.
@hatfisc Ahhh. Another genius. Have you researched the statistics on teachers without tenure who have gotten laid off in the last year. Or perhaps Police districts that have "down-sized" their force in areas(ex: camden,nj). All people are "barely holding on". My parents just got laid off after 30 years at the same company. The countries unemployment rate has been teetering on 10%. What planet do you live on? Every sector is suffering, and people are looking for someone to blame. get a clue.
@demianhesse1 Don't make this a pissing contest about intelligence. That's exhausting and I won't do it. Unions provide greater protection against layoffs. Quit the deflection BS. Some teachers and other unionized jobs were lost? OH MY!! Where have you been? We've lost an average of 11,000 jobs a day since 2007. The public sector has increased the number jobs since the recession. (NY Times, Aug 19, 2009) So really I'm trying to see where you have a leg to stand on here.
Did you see that someone had Hannity for president as their name?! HAHAHAH Sean Hannity is the worst right wing, racist, narcissistic, sexist, homophobic, religion-crazed wingnut. It is an insult to your intelligence to legitimize one thing this man says. Republican flunky. Where do you work, an insurance company? Hannity for President.hahahahahha.....go back to school.
Typical uneducated union goober. Let him try to make it in the private sector like me. Let him pay MY healthcare premium@ 1,000. per month. Let him try. He won't even stand a chance to working my job. !!!!!!!!!!!! little whiney fagot.
@PooPooOnMyNewShoe . nice homophobic terminology. I have "made-it" in the private sector. I pay health insurance too. And as for working your job. I wouldn't want to be a jizz-mopper in a porn booth. You can have that job. I have my PHD in history, I went to school for 71/2 of college years to earn it. So I am not uneducated. Stop blaming someone else for what bills you have to pay. Stop listening to Fox news. Are you at work now, its a tuesday at 1:30pm? You seem like you are doing a fine job.
@demianhesse1, wow you assume someone you disagree with is a "jizz-mopper in a porn booth"?! Interesting how your thought process works Mr. PHD. You must have extensive knowledge about the goings on at porn booths. Stop worrying about what other people listen to and watch, why not worry about your own work? If you are at work in your booth.
@sweetnskippy ok sweetnskippy, that was pretty funny....hahaha. I guess I deserved that for making such a juvenile comment. Maybe that was a bad occupation choice. Their were a plethora of other crummy jobs I could have chosen from. touche'
Am I the only one that thinks both sides are acting like kids on a playground? "Well, I'm not violent... no... Look at him... he's got a sign that says 'We came unarmed (this time)'. I mean I wouldn't bring a sign like that here. He's just a 'bad Jew'. Yes, I said bad Jew, I'm not racist. I'm gonna punch your camera but it'll be out of self defence." WTF, there's idiots in both groups. We get it.
@arthereld No, people do not get it. People still think that there is one and ONLY one news origanization that sells propaganda while the others operate on facts. Yes, most of us don't understand the basic game bias or perception reported by our media organizations. It's kind of hard to debate any issue under that premise.
@hatfisc What the fuck? I'm talking about the fact that in any group you're gonna have the crazy loons. I myself am liberal, but I still got a kick out of the midget version of Gary Busy hollerin about "violence is a bat". I didn't know we were talking about News Networks here, but since you brought it up, I happen to know that more than just one news network is guilty of bias. But to me, FNC is just more hilarious to watch. Like "Kids Say the Darnedest Things" only with news anchors.
This kind of upheaval is what will make or break this country in the upcoming years. Passion about our rights, and a willingness to say NO to government and corporate influences dictating our future(our pensions). The republican agenda is shameful, this video is equally defamatory and full of rhetoric. This country is for the people and by the people. "Bad to the bone" really? Their are peaceful protesters, and intelligent union members.
These are our neighbors fighting for their families.
@hannityforpres No they aren't. They'd already agreed to pension and wage cuts. They're protesting because Walker is trying to legislate away their right to collective bargaining.
@ismeme They do NOT have a "right" to collective bargaining. It s not in the constitution. that privilige was given to them 40 years ago by democrat politicians who were of course, owned by the unions.
@hannityforpres If you want to go back to the days when unmentioned rights weren't protected, build yourself a time machine and go. I'm sure when you tell the founders what a patriot you are for supporting only those rights expressly delineated by the Constitution, they'll scrub the Bill of Rights in horror and thank Hamilton for his prescience.
New World Order gone wild, corporate facism gone wild, ceo's making 400 times the lowest worker, in 1960 they made 25 times lowest worker. GOP loves corporate facist new world order banksters that ruin the middle class and create fake wars which drained all the money out of the u.s. GOP hates the middle class and decent hard working amercians, they will stop at nothing to destroy the american middle class and keep their fake terror and fake wars going. Its called CORPORATE FACISM, FIGHTNOW
this video is postedby a MN republican website...yeah like we can expect fair reporting by these guys....did Koch pay for this too? This is the kind of stuff that is destroying the democratic system. Typical Glenn Beck rehtoric. Commentary to fullfill their agenda. Tell only a "part" of the story...THEIR part. Get down to the real facts...or will that cut into your profits?
some expose...the real star of this video are the ones doing the videoing..and trying to antagonize the people trying to rally. ..hey lets go stick this camera in their face and challenge them and see what we get? by mnmajoritydotorg? The video also shows that it was a peacfull rally, until the real thugs showed up..the ones with the video camera. lame attempt.
It's very easy to find disgruntled hot heads in a large crowd. This video does nothing but establish the fact that some people who go to rallies have anger management issues. Overall these protest have been very peaceful. I have much love for my fellow working class brothas and sistas, red, yellow, black and white. We make the nation go round.
If the union members knew what their leaders are trying to do to America ,they would leave the union, why don't they do a little work into learning what they are doing?
@MrOne4truth WTF? What ARE they trying to do? trying to fight for a fair wage, safe working conditions, fair benefits, a retirement? Yeah thats some really bad sh@$...better run for your portfolio! Why don't YOU learn about what unions are really doing instead of getting your info from Fox, Youtube and Glenn Beck? You have no clue only fear...fear of what you know nothing about.
@597914 To be fair, that isn't what they are fighting for here. I appreciate what they're concerned about with collective bargaining but working conditions? We don't need to worry about that any longer thanks to unions. We now have building codes and laws that guarantee that. Union wages are above average and they have superior benefits and pension than anyone in the private sector workforce. There will be plenty for Unions to fight for but the fighting was done on those issues decades ago.
@hatfisc seriously? maybe working conditions in a public school are taken care of, but in my private sector factory it is every day..now back to what the public sector needs..so you don't think our policeman or firemen need to have a say in the equipment thay use to save our lives, let alone their own. Your hatred and contempt for what is going on in our economy is blinding your objectivity. The root cause for all our economic woes is spending from all levels. Those laws are broken everyday.
@597914 I think you're intensionally missing the point and lets go back to working conditions. There are laws that guarantee work safety. Ever heard of OSHA? If those laws are being broken, file a report. What are the unions going to do about that? Start policing OSHA? There is no hate here sir. You're going to lose that battle and ironically enough, the video makes the point. You cannot project your own hatred onto other people. Especially when the burden of proof is against you. Sorry.
@hatfisc FYI: those laws are broken everyday. Reports are filed every day too...and all that happens is a slap on the wrist. And obviously you know nothing about factories because OSHA isn't there to constently protect you. A little late after someone dies to call OSHA and say oops! Keep clinging to that myth that unions aren't needed any longer...and when you finally get a clue it will be too late. When did I say I hated people? This video is a sham made by a anti union republican party. Lame.
@597914 There's no reason for anyone to waste any time with you. Screw the video, you have no argument. You're basically suggesting that we need labor unions to help police OSHA. You're not going to be taken seriously with that kind of logic. It doesn't create any positive example to continue to waste money through labor unions.
@hatfisc No don't listen to the truth...what a waste, don't actually ASK a union member what their agenda is? F no that wouldn't make any sense to YOU! You don't want the truth! Did the unions deregulate Wall st? Did unions create the housing debacle? You don't even know what OSHA is! OSHA isn't in my plant everyday!management is the one who needs monitoring every day. they don't care about any safety concerns...we have to police ourselves. Shows you how much you live in denial.
@597914 Never mentioned "socialism, marxism or communism." You may be confusing me with another poster which is o.k. I think I mixed you up with someone else here as well.
@597914 I see you are too lazy to look at what is really happening,I suggest you learn, and learn soon,it is not about those things you mentioned at all, really, you tell me something, you know anything at all about socialism?
@MrOne4truth socialism? who said anything about socialism? Glenn Beck? so it must be true! Are you so paranoid MrOne4spreadinglies? like I said, get your info somewhere other than Fox. What is really happening is too much spending. I dont care about taxes raised or cut but until spending at all levels is curtailed it won't matter how much wages or profits grow or not. We need to put back into our country, communities and you don't do that by supporting politicians that send it overseas.
@597914 answer to that is the federal reserve, they are destroying America, and you should learn about what the union leaders are really doing,or trying to do to America
@MrOne4truth FYI: I am the union and I already know what they are doing...you on the other hand haven't a clue and only know what FOX and Beck tell you...and this phoney video, where if the people filming would have left the people trying to rally alone, there wouldn't have been anything to video...again L A M E....drink some more fear and hate.
@597914 Ok,tell me something,do you think your leaders in the union are socialists? Are you one?Or don't you know the meaning of what a socialist is?Please think before you answer
@MrOne4truth are you serious, you are THAT paranoid? despite what beck tells you there is no agenda by the unions.your neighbors ARE the union....the union isn't some seperate entity...WE are the union. And the last time I checked...this was still a "republic" where we vote on what is right and wrong. The unions don't want to take your wealth, they just want a fair wage for EVERYONE...including the company owner. He can get rich off me...I don't care! I just want a decent life!
@597914 So you think it is ok that the union leaders force people to join their union?force people to pay to get dems elected? I have no problem with the people in the union, the problem is what the union leaders are doing.I don't think tax payers should pay for their (union workers)benifits,I think if an employee is not doing their job they shoiuld be fired, I don't think the union leaders should be in bed with the socialists
@MrOne4truth actually I don't have a problem with the ELECTED officials in my union. What you need to ask yourself if you think its OK that billionaires like Koch can buy what they want from YOUR elected officials??? And FYI: Wisconsin unions pay for thier benefits not the tax payers. Their salary was negotiated, which they have to pay ALL of their own benefits. Don't believe what your politician is telling you...READ the contract for yourself. And they agreed to less wages now.
@597914 What you say about the tax payers not paying for the union workers benifits ,I don't beleive that for a sec,and no I don't agree with anyone buying what they want from elected officials but that is exactly what the union leaders have been doing
@MrOne4truth obviously all their wages are paid by the tax payers, but their benefits and pensions are put into trusts that grow as the market grows, so they have been hurt by the market that the republicans helped create. but their benefits are paid by the unions thru those wages. A matter of symantics. At least unions are fighting for the benefits of their members not an individuals profits. BIG difference. We have a big corporate gov't not big union gov't. You are fighting the wrong people.
@MrOne4truth nobody is forced to join any union. unions only negotiate contracts and by law represent their members. it is up to management to follow the contact and if that employee doesn't comply...yes they need to be fired. what don't you understand? Socialists? You can throw that word around all you want, just shows your paranoia and ignornace. What do you call corporations buying politicians? Free Market?
@597914 "You are the Union?" Well I guess the "union" is still wasting taxpayer money in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday. Why aren't you teaching a class, building a bridge, ridding the streets of crime or CONDUCTING BUILDING INSPECTIONS?? Why are you desperately trying to legitimize your salary, pension and benefits with those providing that FOR you while you tell them that they "haven't a clue?" ABSOLUTELY F'NG AMAZING!!!!
@hatfisc maybe I work midnights moron....didn't your college education teach you that not everyone lives in your fantasy land???? you seriously need to learn about the REAL world!!!!!
@597914 Who says that I have a college education? A college education doesn't guarantee you squat these days. People are hurting and when states like NJ are paying out 75cents to the dollar on public labor, you need to dig a little deeper to make cuts. Make sacrifices like the rest of us. You'll keep your job. Good for you! I DO NOT HATE UNIONS but now is the time to take cuts in salary, pension and benefits just like everyone else is doing. It would help your image just a bit.
@hatfisc FYI: I gave up benefits, I gave up over $7,000 in wages for the past SEVEN years! Where the F have YOU been? But I'm not complaining about that, what I will complain AND correct, is when I see a post by someone who knows NOT what they are talking about! Unions HAVE been giving cocessions and they UNDERSTAND, unlike YOU, that it needs to be done by EVERYONE...NOT JUST US! How deep do you want me to go?
@597914 You don't have to go any deeper. I'm not trying to make you feel uneeded or obsolete. Not everyone is so willing to give anything up. The only things tham I'm posting are opinions formed from reading actual statistics from government agencies, not BECKU. There may have to be mass layoffs of government workers. Are you ok with that? Will you understand that the action taken will be for the good of all citizens of the state?
@hatfisc I've been laid off, lay offs are sometimes needed. but there are certainly many ways to balance this budget in WI and other states without attacking CB or unions. Check your stats on spending all over the board. The problem is we like to spend. For example would you be ok with more taxes if it got you better roads? I would. But the problem is we pay more taxes and our gov't just gives it back to special interest and then it falls back on you and me ..make sense?
@597914 That makes perfect sense. There's always big talk about cutting waste(mainly from repubs) but someone usually is hurt in the process. Someone is going to get pinched but lets keep our discussion on the state level. When you pinch someone, it's going to bite someone in the elections. I went back and watched Walkers campaign ads. He was all about getting the budget in order but said nothing about collective bargaining. That's why I'm not agaisnt the union protesting. cont.
@597914 Walker has seemed to drop this issue on top of unions. Brought it out of left field. The state is going broke and people get passionate when they get the PERCEPTION that state workers are unwilling to put more skin in the game. Supposedly Scott Walker got a ton of union support for the '10 elections. You have him now for a couple more years and I really don't see him going anywhere until then. I wouldn't expect the public vs. private argument to anywhere either until after 2012.
In all honesty, you're bound to find nutjobs on both sides. However, I support unions for my teachers and their dedication. These governors should be willing to compromise.
Why should the AstroTurf unionized 11.9% of the workforce have such an overbearing effect on the other 88.1% free and independent workers! The majority of taxpaying voters have spoken. Governors Christie and Walker get it as this is what the silent TEA majority is screaming for. We need to progress into the future with compensation based on merit. The taxpayers and student do not need to be trampled upon for a few that feel entitled to excessive compensation and protection exacted by Big Labor!
Van Jones and George Soros should be happy- this is what they want- violence and upheaval in the streets. They need it to start their progressive revolution for communism. Straight out of the book 'Rules for Radicals'....not fooling most of us, but have fooled some of the working class; union thugs are idiots.
at one time unions were needed, but now with all the laws to protects citizens and their rights it isn't

The capital building is part of our property (as Wisconsinites).
Also GOP state senators were refusing to talk to people who live in their own districts during the protests (even if they came to the offices in groups of 1 or 2)-says a bit about if they are working for "us".
pplr1 11 months ago

A more democratic libertarian I've spoken with feels this is an attack on freedom to assemble.
pplr1 10 months ago
@racer868
If Walker wants to do stuff way worse thats different.
pplr1 10 months ago
@racer868
Anyone sits out and he counts their vote as no-that is trying to rig elections.
pplr1 10 months ago
@racer868
"This is not about trying make unions not exist you brain washed moron. It's about collective bargaining. The ability for unions to threaten their bosses with walk offs and violence."
Is it a joke that you call anyone brain washed after these 3 sentences?
Yes it is threatening unions' ability to exist.
When unions are required to hold elections every year on if they exist-as this "budget repair bill" does-and try to rig these elections to so if the answer is no that is a threat.
pplr1 10 months ago
@racer868

They don't actually, because they spend their paychecks on the economy just like the rest of us - local businesses, keeping up mortgage & car payments, etc. While Bush was in office, public sector employment grew much faster than private. If it weren't for public sector jobs the economy would be far worse off than it already is.

PooPooOnMyNewShoe 1 year ago
@PooPooOnMyNewShoe . nice homophobic terminology. I have "made-it" in the private sector. I pay health insurance too. And as for working your job. I wouldn't want to be a jizz-mopper in a porn booth. You can have that job. I have my PHD in history, I went to school for 71/2 of college years to earn it. So I am not uneducated. Stop blaming someone else for what bills you have to pay. Stop listening to Fox news. Are you at work now, its a tuesday at 1:30pm? You seem like you are doing a fine job.
demianhesse1 1 year ago
@demianhesse1, wow you assume someone you disagree with is a "jizz-mopper in a porn booth"?! Interesting how your thought process works Mr. PHD. You must have extensive knowledge about the goings on at porn booths. Stop worrying about what other people listen to and watch, why not worry about your own work? If you are at work in your booth.

We get it.
arthereld 1 year ago
@arthereld No, people do not get it. People still think that there is one and ONLY one news origanization that sells propaganda while the others operate on facts. Yes, most of us don't understand the basic game bias or perception reported by our media organizations. It's kind of hard to debate any issue under that premise.
hatfisc 1 year ago

@demianhesse1 They are fighting to have better pensions than any other workers. this govt worker gravy train has to stop.
hannityforpres 1 year ago
@hannityforpres No they aren't. They'd already agreed to pension and wage cuts. They're protesting because Walker is trying to legislate away their right to collective bargaining.
ismeme 1 year ago
@ismeme They do NOT have a "right" to collective bargaining. It s not in the constitution. that privilige was given to them 40 years ago by democrat politicians who were of course, owned by the unions.
hannityforpres 1 year ago
@hannityforpres If you want to go back to the days when unmentioned rights weren't protected, build yourself a time machine and go. I'm sure when you tell the founders what a patriot you are for supporting only those rights expressly delineated by the Constitution, they'll scrub the Bill of Rights in horror and thank Hamilton for his prescience.

GOP loves corporate facist new world order banksters that ruin the middle class and create fake wars which drained all the money out of the u.s. GOP hates the middle class and decent hard working amercians, they will stop at nothing to destroy the american middle class and keep their fake terror and fake wars going.

MrOne4truth 1 year ago
@MrOne4truth WTF? What ARE they trying to do? trying to fight for a fair wage, safe working conditions, fair benefits, a retirement? Yeah thats some really bad sh@$...better run for your portfolio! Why don't YOU learn about what unions are really doing instead of getting your info from Fox, Youtube and Glenn Beck? You have no clue only fear...fear of what you know nothing about.
597914 1 year ago
@597914 To be fair, that isn't what they are fighting for here. I appreciate what they're concerned about with collective bargaining but working conditions? We don't need to worry about that any longer thanks to unions. We now have building codes and laws that guarantee that. Union wages are above average and they have superior benefits and pension than anyone in the private sector workforce. There will be plenty for Unions to fight for but the fighting was done on those issues decades ago.
hatfisc 1 year ago
@hatfisc seriously? maybe working conditions in a public school are taken care of, but in my private sector factory it is every day..now back to what the public sector needs..so you don't think our policeman or firemen need to have a say in the equipment thay use to save our lives, let alone their own. Your hatred and contempt for what is going on in our economy is blinding your objectivity. The root cause for all our economic woes is spending from all levels. Those laws are broken everyday.
597914 1 year ago
@597914 I think you're intensionally missing the point and lets go back to working conditions. There are laws that guarantee work safety. Ever heard of OSHA? If those laws are being broken, file a report. What are the unions going to do about that? Start policing OSHA? There is no hate here sir. You're going to lose that battle and ironically enough, the video makes the point. You cannot project your own hatred onto other people. Especially when the burden of proof is against you. Sorry.
hatfisc 1 year ago
@hatfisc excuse me, "intentionally " SP
hatfisc 1 year ago
@hatfisc FYI: those laws are broken everyday. Reports are filed every day too...and all that happens is a slap on the wrist. And obviously you know nothing about factories because OSHA isn't there to constently protect you. A little late after someone dies to call OSHA and say oops! Keep clinging to that myth that unions aren't needed any longer...and when you finally get a clue it will be too late. When did I say I hated people? This video is a sham made by a anti union republican party. Lame.
597914 1 year ago
@597914 There's no reason for anyone to waste any time with you. Screw the video, you have no argument. You're basically suggesting that we need labor unions to help police OSHA. You're not going to be taken seriously with that kind of logic. It doesn't create any positive example to continue to waste money through labor unions.
hatfisc 1 year ago
@hatfisc No don't listen to the truth...what a waste, don't actually ASK a union member what their agenda is? F no that wouldn't make any sense to YOU! You don't want the truth! Did the unions deregulate Wall st? Did unions create the housing debacle? You don't even know what OSHA is! OSHA isn't in my plant everyday!management is the one who needs monitoring every day. they don't care about any safety concerns...we have to police ourselves. Shows you how much you live in denial.
597914 1 year ago
@597914 Wall st. and the housing bubble have nothing to do with this so stop throwing in nonsense that doesn't help you make a point anyway.

MrOne4truth 1 year ago
@MrOne4truth socialism? who said anything about socialism? Glenn Beck? so it must be true! Are you so paranoid MrOne4spreadinglies? like I said, get your info somewhere other than Fox. What is really happening is too much spending. I dont care about taxes raised or cut but until spending at all levels is curtailed it won't matter how much wages or profits grow or not. We need to put back into our country, communities and you don't do that by supporting politicians that send it overseas.
597914 1 year ago
@597914 answer to that is the federal reserve, they are destroying America, and you should learn about what the union leaders are really doing,or trying to do to America
MrOne4truth 1 year ago
@MrOne4truth FYI: I am the union and I already know what they are doing...you on the other hand haven't a clue and only know what FOX and Beck tell you...and this phoney video, where if the people filming would have left the people trying to rally alone, there wouldn't have been anything to video...again L A M E....drink some more fear and hate.
597914 1 year ago
@597914 Ok,tell me something,do you think your leaders in the union are socialists? Are you one?Or don't you know the meaning of what a socialist is?Please think before you answer
MrOne4truth 1 year ago
@MrOne4truth are you serious, you are THAT paranoid? despite what beck tells you there is no agenda by the unions.your neighbors ARE the union....the union isn't some seperate entity...WE are the union. And the last time I checked...this was still a "republic" where we vote on what is right and wrong. The unions don't want to take your wealth, they just want a fair wage for EVERYONE...including the company owner. He can get rich off me...I don't care! I just want a decent life!
597914 1 year ago
@597914 So you think it is ok that the union leaders force people to join their union?force people to pay to get dems elected? I have no problem with the people in the union, the problem is what the union leaders are doing.I don't think tax payers should pay for their (union workers)benifits,I think if an employee is not doing their job they shoiuld be fired, I don't think the union leaders should be in bed with the socialists
MrOne4truth 1 year ago
@MrOne4truth actually I don't have a problem with the ELECTED officials in my union. What you need to ask yourself if you think its OK that billionaires like Koch can buy what they want from YOUR elected officials??? And FYI: Wisconsin unions pay for thier benefits not the tax payers. Their salary was negotiated, which they have to pay ALL of their own benefits. Don't believe what your politician is telling you...READ the contract for yourself. And they agreed to less wages now.
597914 1 year ago
@597914 What you say about the tax payers not paying for the union workers benifits ,I don't beleive that for a sec,and no I don't agree with anyone buying what they want from elected officials but that is exactly what the union leaders have been doing
MrOne4truth 1 year ago
@MrOne4truth obviously all their wages are paid by the tax payers, but their benefits and pensions are put into trusts that grow as the market grows, so they have been hurt by the market that the republicans helped create. but their benefits are paid by the unions thru those wages. A matter of symantics. At least unions are fighting for the benefits of their members not an individuals profits. BIG difference. We have a big corporate gov't not big union gov't. You are fighting the wrong people.
597914 1 year ago
@597914 there is no money to pay for those benifits
MrOne4truth 1 year ago
@MrOne4truth nobody is forced to join any union. unions only negotiate contracts and by law represent their members. it is up to management to follow the contact and if that employee doesn't comply...yes they need to be fired. what don't you understand? Socialists? You can throw that word around all you want, just shows your paranoia and ignornace. What do you call corporations buying politicians? Free Market?
597914 1 year ago
@597914 So you are saying anyone can be a teacher in wisconsin without joining a union?
MrOne4truth 1 year ago
@597914 "You are the Union?" Well I guess the "union" is still wasting taxpayer money in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday. Why aren't you teaching a class, building a bridge, ridding the streets of crime or CONDUCTING BUILDING INSPECTIONS?? Why are you desperately trying to legitimize your salary, pension and benefits with those providing that FOR you while you tell them that they "haven't a clue?" ABSOLUTELY F'NG AMAZING!!!!
hatfisc 1 year ago
@hatfisc maybe I work midnights moron....didn't your college education teach you that not everyone lives in your fantasy land???? you seriously need to learn about the REAL world!!!!!
597914 1 year ago
@597914 Who says that I have a college education? A college education doesn't guarantee you squat these days. People are hurting and when states like NJ are paying out 75cents to the dollar on public labor, you need to dig a little deeper to make cuts. Make sacrifices like the rest of us. You'll keep your job. Good for you! I DO NOT HATE UNIONS but now is the time to take cuts in salary, pension and benefits just like everyone else is doing. It would help your image just a bit.
hatfisc 1 year ago
@hatfisc FYI: I gave up benefits, I gave up over $7,000 in wages for the past SEVEN years! Where the F have YOU been? But I'm not complaining about that, what I will complain AND correct, is when I see a post by someone who knows NOT what they are talking about! Unions HAVE been giving cocessions and they UNDERSTAND, unlike YOU, that it needs to be done by EVERYONE...NOT JUST US! How deep do you want me to go?
597914 1 year ago
@597914 You don't have to go any deeper. I'm not trying to make you feel uneeded or obsolete. Not everyone is so willing to give anything up. The only things tham I'm posting are opinions formed from reading actual statistics from government agencies, not BECKU. There may have to be mass layoffs of government workers. Are you ok with that? Will you understand that the action taken will be for the good of all citizens of the state?
hatfisc 1 year ago
@hatfisc I've been laid off, lay offs are sometimes needed. but there are certainly many ways to balance this budget in WI and other states without attacking CB or unions. Check your stats on spending all over the board. The problem is we like to spend. For example would you be ok with more taxes if it got you better roads? I would. But the problem is we pay more taxes and our gov't just gives it back to special interest and then it falls back on you and me ..make sense?
597914 1 year ago
@597914 That makes perfect sense. There's always big talk about cutting waste(mainly from repubs) but someone usually is hurt in the process. Someone is going to get pinched but lets keep our discussion on the state level. When you pinch someone, it's going to bite someone in the elections. I went back and watched Walkers campaign ads. He was all about getting the budget in order but said nothing about collective bargaining. That's why I'm not agaisnt the union protesting. cont.
hatfisc 1 year ago
@597914 Walker has seemed to drop this issue on top of unions. Brought it out of left field. The state is going broke and people get passionate when they get the PERCEPTION that state workers are unwilling to put more skin in the game. Supposedly Scott Walker got a ton of union support for the '10 elections. You have him now for a couple more years and I really don't see him going anywhere until then. I wouldn't expect the public vs. private argument to anywhere either until after 2012.
