@Apmhflick I know there are people that thing there are "contradictions" in the bible, but I have honestly found none. Some books like Levictus were written only for the Jews, and I am not a Jew. When Jesus came to this Earth the bible says "He fulfilled the old law." So that means there are some things in the old testament that don't line up with the new testament. For example, the old testament says "eye for an eye, and tooth for a tooth." But Jesus says, "turn the other cheek."

Rape is unbiblical? I'd be interested to find out on which verse that is based on as I only know of verses where god condones rape or tolerates it in silence.
@NowCheeseLover It is my suspicion that Christians don't have a clear, unequivocal, biblical foundation to condemn rape which would mean that the condemnation of rape is a product of their innate morality which stands wholly separate from god and it could be even argued is in direct conflict with gods 'moral' edicts.
If rape is not something condemned by god but humans it would follow that either rape is not immoral or that god is for not condemning it.

I am still trying to fully grasp the biblical truth of oneness and such, but it's hard for me to look past the fact that men were allowed to have multiple partners in the OT. If they could have sex with multiple women, why is it wrong for me to? Please provide with an answer because I am seeking the truth.
@europeanbamf Well since many people have difficult with one wife and many get divorced I don't know why it would be better with for example three. Also I suggest God made sex for procreation and I don't recommend people to use it for purposes apart from that. It is something that makes a person unclean (Lev 15).

I have difficult to think that a person can honestly teach against homosexuality if he thinks it is ok to have sex with a woman and lead the semen to trash. @europeanbamf Concerning the Song of Solomon I think sexuality and procreation is a good reason to come this close and be this loving with each other. I am not living like this myself but according Deuteronomy 22:28-29 if he has laid hold on a virgin and lied with her "he may not put her away all his days" etc so I thin he is supposed to be that loving with her all his days. Now I don't know if procreation is the only good reason to become like this with a woman.
@europeanbamf I think the Mosaic Law still applies but that some things in it are quite far away from us. It is long since I have read through the Galatians but according to
Galatians 3:23-25 the books of Moses are important to bring us to the Messiah (my opinion) and I also think that being under the law is something we are if we walk against the books of Moses and by doing that we don't walk in faith meaning that we don't believe i.e. "You shall not steal" and keep on doing it.

Then he begins to believe in the bible and I think he should keep all his wives when it is written that you shall not commit adultery which I understand as do not break a marriage bond - do not divorce them. While anatomically you are right that the anus is not "designed" for this, it is legalism to say that it is a sin for a married husband and wife to engage in this sort of intercourse. That is their decision. Sin is something clearly spelled out in Scripture, and this does not fit that category.

The New Testament doesn't really address the subject, and the Old one doesn't really portray it very positively. Sure, people in the Bible used to have several wives, but they also used to murder, rape, and lie, meaning that something "that happens in the Bible" might still be right or wrong.
As far as polygamy goes, it's just not a great idea. Men, how would you feel if you saw your wives sharing their love with other men? How could you bear to do the same to your wife?
For example, in Genesis 29 - 30, we watch Jacob marry multiple women and essentially be the subject of a tug of war between those women for Jacob's devotion and God's favor. In another example, in 1 Samuel 1, we watch the same thing happen again with a different family.
Polygamy isn't technically called "sinful" in Scripture, though "foreign-relations wives" were a bad idea for kings because their hearts would be led astray (Deuteronomy 17:17), but it's not best for intimacy.

If a woman is on the pill, it stops her from ovulating, which means that her eggs just never come to full readiness. Nothing is being killed except the excess sperm which is only half of a possible human, and may or may not have made a baby anyway.

When Jesus came to this Earth the bible says "He fulfilled the old law." So that means there are some things in the old testament that don't line up with the new testament. For example, the old testament says "eye for an eye, and tooth for a tooth." But Jesus says, "turn the other cheek."

@NowCheeseLover It is my suspicion that Christians don't have a clear, unequivocal, biblical foundation to condemn rape which would mean that the condemnation of rape is a product of their innate morality which stands wholly separate from god and it could be even argued is in direct conflict with gods 'moral' edicts.
If rape is not something condemned by god but humans it would follow that either rape is not immoral or that god is for not condemning it.

@europeanbamf I think the Mosaic Law still applies but that some things in it are quite far away from us. It is long since I have read through the Galatians but according to
Galatians 3:23-25 the books of Moses are important to bring us to the Messiah (my opinion) and I also think that being under the law is something we are if we walk against the books of Moses and by doing that we don't walk in faith meaning that we don't believe i.e. "You shall not steal" and keep on doing it.

Then he begins to believe in the bible and I think he should keep all his wives when it is written that you shall not commit adultery which I understand as do not break a marriage bond - do not divorce them. The New Testament doesn't really address the subject, and the Old one doesn't really portray it very positively. Sure, people in the Bible used to have several wives, but they also used to murder, rape, and lie, meaning that something "that happens in the Bible" might still be right or wrong.
As far as polygamy goes, it's just not a great idea. Men, how would you feel if you saw your wives sharing their love with other men? How could you bear to do the same to your wife?

For example, in Genesis 29 - 30, we watch Jacob marry multiple women and essentially be the subject of a tug of war between those women for Jacob's devotion and God's favor. In another example, in 1 Samuel 1, we watch the same thing happen again with a different family.
Polygamy isn't technically called "sinful" in Scripture, though "foreign-relations wives" were a bad idea for kings because their hearts would be led astray (Deuteronomy 17:17), but it's not best for intimacy.

@oi23456789 If God wants you to have a baby, you'll have one. Birth control fails all the time, so as long as there is sex, there's a chance for a baby to be born. And it's not like an abortion. If a woman is on the pill, it stops her from ovulating, which means that her eggs just never come to full readiness. Nothing is being killed except the excess sperm which is only half of a possible human, and may or may not have made a baby anyway.

Anal sex is okay as long as it's not the only way you can have sex, because doing that is going against God's command of being fruitful and multiplying. There are many people out there who believe any sex position other than the missionary is disrespectful and unholy. Phone sex inside the marriage breeds lust for who, if the only person you're having phone sex with is your spouse? It's okay, as long as you're not enslaved by it.

The reoccurring problem I see with SOME of these comments is that it has nothing to do with the video. If we all are quick to listen and slow to speak, we'd understand he is preaching the Word of God and not just some nonsense. As a pastor, he is a leader and a shepherd, he has to look out for his flock that may be in sexual sin. STOP AND LISTEN!
