Hmm Californication at number one....? Really? Don't get me wrong, I love RHCP but def. not the best rock song of the 90's... love the list tho. Took me back!
I don't think the person made the list in order like 50 being the worst, 1 being the best or viceversa or nething... I think its mostly random and the # is just the track #
(example: how people arrange tracks on burnt cds... mostly random)
This was a great idea! I'm a huge fan of 90s music, coming from the graduating class of '96. But 2 chilli peppers songs in the top ten is a little much.
I am 15 years old and almost all of these songs are in my itunes library, my friends call it crap, I call it gold. I've been raised off of my dad's records and eventually when they were made into CD's and resold, I bust out the car for basketball practice rockin' Thunderstruck.. It's my jam! Alot of kids my age son't know these amazing songs, I wish i was a bit older so that I would have really gotten bigger into them.
Way too much, smashing pumpkins, and where the hell is garbage? also smells like teen spirit should have been number 1, what about the beautiful people? should have been in the list
Smells Like Teen Spirit single handily changed the world, brought alternative rock to the mainstream, and launched a revolution of Grunge around the world. Why isn't it number 1?
I agree 98 % on 'your opinionated' list. The 2 % is the retarded decision to include Slipknot over Korns 'Freak on a Leash' which changed the game for rock in 1998.
Number 1 should be the best around by joe esposito its not rock but its still the best song ever made on the entire planet hands down no joke tellin ya mane
@andrewdeangelo1 Man, I got lughed at back at AIT when joining the army because I was still strutting a walkman! All these kids asking me what it was and where was the screen for watching movies! I just got my MP3 last year believe it or not!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion - but a bit too many from a handful of bands. (like 5 or 6 each to Smashing Pumpkins and RHCP) - would have liked to have seen Iris- Goo Goo Dolls and a few others.
Glycerine isn't even on the list , but a Blink 182 song is ? The only song of theirs that was any good in my opinion was "Adam's Song". What about a few other huge songs that should have EASILY made the top 50- The Freshman, and Hemorrage. Only 1 Metallica song ? "Mama Said" was a far better song. As for Aerosmith, Cryin, Crazy, Angel, and What It takes- were superior. Still, alot of them deserved to be on the list and YES, it's YOUR list so I shouldn't complain. Sorry, don't mean to rant.
gunna be completely honest with you, i thought you were gunna do what every other video about the 90s rock songs and put smells like teen spirit as number one, but when i heard californication, my heart melted. nice one :D
a stunning list but TEEN SPIRIT #2! that song was the song of a whole freakin generation dude. Under the bridge was a more "90 defined" song than califorication. lol
I was just speaking with my cousin about how great the nineties were. I spent my days just traveling around, going to see some of the best bands in rock of all time, yes all time. I finished out the nineties livin on Corpus Christi bay. Working a great job, and they were just starting to play shit on the radio. after that, I never listened to new rock, ever. No new alternative. Except The white stripes. Here's to the nineties!
i miss the 90s all the best bands came from that decade every band thats out now sucks.. all my favorite bands are from the 90s SMASHING PUMPKINS, RADIOHEAD, RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS!!!!!! OUR GENERATION SUCKS
I love how creative and inspired the bands back in the 90s. I don't like some rock songs in the 90s. But I adore the indie and shoegaze rock bands in the 90s.
God I was so young when a lot of these songs came out. I love 90's rock music. It makes me want to cry because music sucks a lot now. Perhaps I should just cry and write a song about it. :)
