Where does it teach in the scriptures of the New Testament to kill and persecute people? Show me were in the New Testament you have the teaching that opposses the teaching that speaks of loving your enemies and praying for those whom hurt you. Do not blame the Word of God for the evil that comes from the human heart, for it is not the Word that kill people, but people that kill people, as we did kill our selves through our sins in the beginning.

The rabbi is wise, but errs when interpreting Torah only in a literal sense. Torah wasn't meant for us to have the right theology, but rather the right character; that we imitate the morality God himself modeled. God performed miracles, but never forced anybody to change his inner nature. True & lasting peace doesn't come from the outside, nor from an “external” Messiah; it comes from the heart, and it's the result of sincere repentance. The day I repent, that day the Messiah comes to my life.

Also, human blood sacrifices are indeed wrong, but why is it that the red heifer story follows the death of Miriam?
