  • I there i am moding my hard drive do u put to resisters in for the leds just one video is good thank you

  • Ferst theng am gona doo ez.

  • Less talkie more cutty :P

  • does this work the same if you were going to do it to the system itself?

  • Comment removed

  • what is the model # for your demel tool?

  • could you add 4 leds???

  • omg thats lush

  • looks real good ima try this wit my fake hdd case also i already have the hole cut out just got to grind it down

  • cooL!

  • If u use another hard drive it probably won't work

  • where do ya solder the led's to 4 power + & - ???

  • @xXxWoNdEreR7XxX You Solder Them To The Yellow And Black Wires, Like he Said In The Video.

  • Great job !

  • really good video but i would use one or two more lights

  • wow this is a VERY nice tutorial!! also 2 VERY BIG thumbs up on using a cd case for the window...very clever!! :)

  • could I do change the hard drive inside of the original encloser with a 1TB seagate hard drive

  • can u use a regular harddrive?

  • can you make a tutorial on how exactly to wire the LED's? you kinda skipped it in this tutorial (but everything else is great). or if not could u like PM me a video on how to step-by-step solder the LED's n stuff? because thats the only thing im confused about really right now. thanks!

  • why didnt you use the regular enclosure

  • gt is l MTx MAGIEHD l

  • This was a great tut thanks :)

  • So you connected the leds in a circuit by connecting the leds negative and positive sides to each other and then soldering the wires to the yellow (positive) and black (ground) wires

  • @GretchentheAlligator thanks really help full comment

  • @Eddie12man54 your welcome

  • nice as hdd

  • is it possible to just use the regular xbox 360 HDD Drive the manufactured one by microsoft

  • which wires are the power supply

  • what color wires are negative and positive when you wire up the leds to the hardrive. like what wires to i connect the leds to ?

  • Hay man what u should of done to make it look more um cooler is put a pice of black plastic over the hard drive motherboard i guess u would call it (the green stuff with the silver circle) then over that plastic put a very then piece of mirror that way the led;s light would reflect off of the mirror and look amazingly awesome

  • Good video, but the music is stuck in my head:/

  • where could you buy the cutting thing?

  • u no the silver thing where u made the window would be u should of put that on the window it would look way better

  • wats ur job??

  • Where can I get one of those hard drives

  • i have a new xobx n idont know hwats the use oh hdd can anyone reply me pls

  • This looks like a dremel commercial and can I take an external hard drive take it apart and put it inside my case

  • witch cables did you cut into for the leds ????

  • Nice clip, But where did you buy the Fake HDD from?? :D

  • jtags suck balls they get ban when you go online

  • @DMxDemonL3GIT You can uban Jtags.

  • @GrimxAeron i dont care am god damb key vault cost like 50 dollers schrew that in the old times jtags where better

  • @DMxDemonL3GIT Excuse me? I couldn't get what you said.

  • hi what ohm resistors did u use for those leds?

  • how mach for the leds?

    ps best clip ever

  • @spazzitron1 This was for a jtag console. A slim cant be jtagged so he wouldent be taking it apart for tht use

  • @BzRKxKILLER How can u possibly mess up? Its a simple mod that ive done myself :)

  • id buy that for £10-15

  • that looks cool. Can u do it for a ps3?

  • PLEASE ANSWER BEFORE I SCREW UP :( do u need to use a resistor? and yes what one?

  • Awesome job dude :) Thumbs up

  • did u take the drive out of the real enclousre and put it in the fake?

  • you did such a great job on this but you should of used a new cd case lid with no scratches on it .

  • `Awesome a fellow scot

  • I saw on a comment on another video someone saying that putting windows (plexiglass and such) on your console makes it easy to pick up dust on the inside. Is that true, and if so is there a way to make that not happen?

  • its a shame if you plan on taking that apart for a xbox slim

  • Where do I wire the positive cable to

  • @abn5275 It should be a yellow cable.

  • where are your resistors and how many did you actually use

  • @triggerhappymoron 100 OHM should do it. You only need 1 for parallel circuits, hook it up to the positive wire, polarity doesnt matter with resistors.

  • what color wires did you splice into.

  • @aus10eww Yellow for power, black for ground.

  • really helpful video, could have shown you actually doing the tasks although i suppose it would have taken a while longer. any idea on the cheapest dremel i could get? :p

i would have done the same as you but with one of the leds as an activity led. and i don't like the thought of splicing the cable so when i did mine i got it from the hard drive cable and just did some really simple white activity leds, looked pretty awesome though, nice vid

  • mine is fucked

  • No affence but this kid has a jtag so no he didn't an Microsoft were silly a didn't configure that you can use any hard drive

  • What do you mean by a "fake enclosure"??

  • @fdevora It isn't manufactured or licensed by Microsoft but it is made to look identical to the real thing. For example It even comes with fake Microsoft product stickers.

  • that looks really nice! i think im gonna go do it

  • did u have to use hddhacker on the hdd?

  • @xTalentHD No, this is for use on my JTAG which isn't bothered if the HDD is official or not. If I wanted to use it on my stock 360 then I would have to though.

  • @RetroGameTech How Did u know it wuz gonna work?

  • @RetroGameTech I want to put in a non Microsoft hdd i have but what do i have to do to get my xbox 360 to read it?

  • @RetroGameTech are u scottish cos i am too

  • Were did you get the leds? Could you give a link please? Thanks awsome blue leds thow

  • Guysfor all of you wondering wether or not this will work it will ,but you must have a jtaged xbox 360

  • @TheEvans789 howcome?

  • @xTalentHD Because the xbox doesn't read other hard drives only flashdrives

  • @TheEvans789 thats why you use hddhackr

  • why?

  • where did you get it from so i can get one

  • @gtman2500 dealextreme(dot)com

  • did u put a 2.5 or a 3.5 harddrive?

  • do you remember the dimensions of the glass?

  • Nice Mod, alot better than I could do :)

  • Nice but it needs more LEDs

  • @DrHackable People keep saying this but it doesn't. Anymore than 2 and you end up illuminating the whole room which is distracting and not the look I was aiming for. Even with the 2 I find it too bright while watching movies so end up covering it with the Vision cam. Also, this vid was shot under very bright halogen lighting so maybe they look dimmer than they are. Sure pile in as many LEDs as you want but to me that looks cheap and distracting.

  • @RetroGameTech Is there anything special about the Hard Drive for the X-Box, or is it just a standard 2.5" sata?

  • @DrHackable you can also just put brighter LEDs.

  • where did you buy the fake harddrive?

  • @masterprogram it's not a fake HDD it's a fake enclosure. DealExtreme.

  • Nice Job

  • can u do it wid a 60 GB hard drive

  • @beatnikbomber yeah but it voids your hdd warranty.

  • can u do that with the xbox's original harddrive: 60 GB??????

  • was it black to black and red to red on the wires? is red + and black -?

  • Are You Rich :P

  • 5 stars! great camera quality and good tutorial! thanks a lot for posting it

  • hell of a lot of effort for weak leds its very good though

  • now it cant breath, its sealed in there? can it over heat?

  • How did you wire to the second led because I'm not sure about that

  • how do you wire the leds it didnt show in the video

  • how do you wire the led it didnt show in the video

  • did you use the resistors i didnt see any and you used the yellow 5v for you power and black for your ground right i seen a few ppl ask that and wut was the ohm on the resistor if you did use one

  • What is the rating of the LED's? And is there any diodes or resistors in the circuit? I didn't see where you put the resistors or if you did. If you could, please just send me a message with the ratings for the LED's and resistors.

    Thanks

  • really grat vid i have cut the window myself but need some help mate because thier is no good vids to show anyone how to put leds in === can u make a led vid please

  • Clean, Simple, and informative. Great Vid!

  • Were did you purchase those LED's? =)

  • Can you make it have letters roll across the screen and HOW MUCH?

  • Great videos ! Where do you buy you parts ? I know the internet, but what shops/web sites ? Many thanks

  • I like ur vids! =)

  • what wires do you solder into to get the power for the leds...??

  • Try filing down the leds to evenly dispurse the light, if you dont it ends up looking directional or like a spot light... just a fun tip :] great job though I plan on doing this on a project I am currently working on!

  • Awesome Job!

  • what type of external hdd did u use?

  • SCOTTISH MODDER?! EPIC WIN!!!!!

  • Only thing I would have changed is put four leds in it

  • Hi! I have a very simple question. The harddrive that you installed, did you need to format or hack in any way? Thanks!

  • lol i used scissors and a hand file and mine looks better than his. DONT BUY A DREMEL all u have to do is use he scissors to pry out the gb sign and then let the hand file do work.

  • i actually cant find the one you bought

  • if you had more leds and covered the main hard drive. ithink it would hve turned out better. but thats just me

  • It would help with a step by step

  • That's cool but it could do with some stronger LED lights

  • The SATA port at 7:00 looks way crooked.

  • @FeeLtheHertZ The connector on the 360 hard drive can be moved around. The part you're looking at is a flexible joint. It's designed that way so it can easily be mounted on the 360.

  • @RetroGameTech Interesting

  • what wire is used ??

  • im probably going to do that with green leds

  • awesome, nice vid

  • thats cool

  • @Goody27Modz no sir

  • If I did that mod, I'd print a nice picture and put that under the glass. Or I'd sand the plexi so that it'd look like it was frozen.

I don't like to watxh at bare cirquit boards, it's just not my cup of tea :D Nicely done mod anyways!

  • nice i did mine today took about 1-2 hours -_-' but i liked most how your chip was green but mine was blue! O.O

  • Well guys since he doesnt tell you first you strip a small portion of the yellow wire( 5v) and the black( ground) and solder a wire to the black and a resistor the yellow and a wire to the resistor then connect more wires to both those wires according to led amount so each led has a ground and a 5v coming to it then reassemble and bam pm me for more info if this isn't clear enough for you

  • what wires do the leds connect to

  • I have green and red 3mm LEDs. Are 220 OHMs resistors fine with these? I have 220 ohms and i want to be sure it would be fine to use. Please REPLY!

  • @TheKnockaKnocka i think but the led will be dimmer pick up a cheap multimeter

  • how did you connect two leds in it

  • how many giggs is that and can u gimmi a link to were u bought it

  • how meny volts r the leds u used nd how meny oms r the resiters

  • @559MODS Well you're english isn't so good but I can understand you qeastion, Blue LED's are always 3,1 V and the resistors are 95 Ohm's good so now you know

  • u no u can take off the silver side on the plastic

  • nice

  • can you make a vid on how you wired the led's

  • Very nice mod mate, well done

  • i need to add u on xbox live!!!

  • PPL ADD ME ON XBOX LIVE PLEAAAAAAAASEEEEEEEEEE i have 0 freind my gamertag is AC1DZOMB1E AND SUBSRIBE TO THIS VIIID

  • @heyakarra hahahahh i have 100

  • lol with the sticker on there microsoft will never know its modified

  • will you be selling that?

  • Where are you from The U,K? Italy? WHERE???

  • @KenderikGamer Italy??? he's scotish

  • @roryos Thanks for the corection

  • @roryos Thanks for the Corection Fail at spelling

  • hey can u make a vid on the wireing and do u need any restiors and what kind of leds

  • nice eh

  • Just got my dealexreme harddrive inclosure in the mail nice wanna do this!

  • Hey I wanna do this to my hdd and it seems easy enough to do but the only part I don't get is where do you wire it to...I no you def wire it to the power wire but I can't tell what one that is..can you help me out please?...thanks

  • Hey I wanna do this to my hdd and it seems easy enough to do but the only part I don't get is where do you wire it to...I no you def wire it to the power wire but I can't tell what one that is..can you help me out please?...thanks @suberbinsnipa

What I Learned Was You Can Use The Yellow As poastive And Black As Ground. Also i Was wondering if resistors were needed im placing a massive order at deal extreme ill make an unboxing video and i might have an extra case afterwards

  • @suberbinsnipa you will get 5.3 volts from the yellow wire and you use the black wire for a ground also if you will need a resistor so google a resistor calculator and it will tell you which one to use.

  • super

  • Can you tell me what site you ordered the china knockoffs?

  • U and everyone else with a jtag hack r gay. I guys ruin games for ppl who Rnt cheaters on games. I hope u all burn in hell u cheaters.

  • Where can I get that case?

  • scotland eh? nice place right?

  • hey i am thinking of doing this but to the side of my actuall 360 console to you can see inside and everything and i was just woundering where can i get the plasctic sheet as a cd case is too small to cover the hole
