There's good and bad happening here. Sol Yurick's novel made the urban grittiness of West Side Story so much more real, and genious director Walter Hill amplified it 2000 X. The bad is that it glorified violence and made good homes APPEAR unsafe.

The Furies being more of a big part of the movie and their all like Heath Ledgers Joker types an they capture the guys early on in the movie and they take off the brown rug sacks off their heads and their in a very low lit basement or their quaters and the main fury is in the shadows with a very deep voice and he circles around them long story short they spark a deal with them

Dont know why they left this scene out, but it wouldve helped the movie's plot a bit more. Overall it was a fantastic flick for its time. And whatever they didn't put into the movie, The video game for PS2 "The Warriors" added everything else to it and some other things. Ultimately giving everybody a story. Great. @JeXsXsXe I was 14 years old when this hit the theater. And what you said about the movie being pulled is 100% correct. But I didnt get to see the movie until 1981. Back in 79, NYC still had a few gangs lingering around and it really stired up some things. Here's another fun fact for you. Coney Island had a real multicultural gang back then. They were called "The Crazy Homicides".

If the Warriors had a radio, they'd know things much sooner, such as the fact that every gang is out looking for them because they believe the Warriors killed Cyrus and that they are being tracked by the gangs (which would probably cause them to change their means of travel).

I doubt very much that it'd come anywhere near living up to the height of the original but it would have been something that'd be interesting to see with the same cast. Now however, a sequel would be all wrong. Walter Hill managed to perfectly capture the times, the colours, the imagery and music. A sequel now - or even a remake - would be all wrong.
