wow that is one loud ass gun...shot a ak 47 and an ar15....this seems soo much louder...is it just the video? sorry im new to shooting but i hear about sks's alot

@pallystu It's just the video in this case. All in all, SKS/AR/AK type rifles have about the same decibles when fired.

see who says u need a detachable mag lol. love the paratrooper. i got one to and want more lol. idk but there is just something i love about guns that take clips like the garand sks mosin ect. they seem more like a rifle to me then the ar or ak. great video. and good form.

@dp665 One thing I also do like about the en-bloc/ stripper clip fed weapons is that they generally have a lower profile to them and are much more comfortable to carry in the field IMHO.

finally someone that knows how to use a stripper clip quickly and efficiently, sick gun!

@johnnycal5555 Lots of practice my freind. I collected some spent round and bought a few snap caps. Put a snap cap on the top and bottom of the stripper clip and put 8 spent rounds in the middle. Just don't chamber the spent rounds unless you had them resized back.

how much did this type 56 cost you is this what the type 56 looks like or is this a certin model

@ashisturtwig123 This is a Paratrooper model that was made for export to the US market for sport shooters. It cost me $300.00 back in '05. I don't think the price has changed too much since then but I have not been looking either.

Is it me or is the SKS Paratrooper a very loud gun compared to most others? I think it has to do most with the short barrel.

That was some year old Wolf I had laying around. It was a mixture of both Hollow Point and Full Metal Jacket ammunition.

Yeah the SKS is a pretty cool rifle. By the way how accurate you were when you shot?

@DukeWooze About 4 to 6" groups at 50 to 75 yards. I wasn't really trying, just burning off some old ammo I had.
