Watching this makes me miss playing IL2 a little; but not enough to get back on Skies of Valor, and get my ass handed to me over and over again by you SOB guys. While I tried to be a team player as much as I could, I learned to play online with dial up, and never tried (or really wanted to try) using comms. My last time on was a few months ago, and it was so frustrating that I uninstalled the game. That was the last sign off for Someguy.

@Aviatorbill Mostly full real except for external views, enemy icons (type and number, no range) and full icons for friendlies plus some minor bits like map icon (for position). Google skies of fire for Skies of Valor server settings. Realistic gunnery and full real flight model, naturally.
@loch22ness I16 type 18 has 4x ShKAS 7.62mm MG and the type 24 has 2x ShKAS 7.62mm MG and 2x ShVAK 20mm cannon. Both of these weapons are superb, possibly the best of their caliber available at the time. The extremely high firing rate and muzzle velocity means you outgun nearly every opponent you face. The bf109 also has very little armor, so even with 2 ShKAS (after the cannon ammo runs out) I still have full confidence in the firepower available.
@BigSilverHotdog Yes, i know about Ratas weapons but i did not recognize the correct type of Rata, because i dont fly them (and i my stock version i have different cockpits). But i have problem to set fire japan "paper" planes with Shkas so i am amazed :)
@BigSilverHotdog Yes, I agree. I am not good fighter or shooter. But i scored more kills with two 7.92mm guns of bf109 or japan planes, so i think the russian gunsight make some troubles for me too. Need some practice :)

Yeah, the I16 is nice, i like it too. it has also nice 20 mm canons, makes shootdowns very easier.

@loch22ness Then the problem is your gunnery, because I assure you setting fire to Japanese planes (most of them) is very easy with ShKAS.
