  • A beautiful machine.

  • If what he says about costs and ecological footprint is true (and considering who he is I believe it's true), this car and this production system is a revolution. Weird that it hasn't been adopted yet.

  • GODMON MURRAY!!!

  • @theslimeylimey Yep my thoughts exactly, At some point Apple will drop the Automotive bomb. and you know, they will start a new age in automotive travel for several reasons, 1st its a vehicle made by APPLE. that milestone alone would create massive sales, 2nd it would come with unique tech standard.

3rd collectors. 4th Being sold by Apple means its a brand new class of automobile,an hence has no competing products in house.

It would make Apple a Juggernaut.

  • gordon murray is a car god!

  • Lovin this vid

  • I can't wait to buy this car!

  • Vickyyyy, pls lose some weight, pls pls!

  • make em TDI's or just electric...lol no more mpg that are worse than the prius for a damn smart car.

  • very interesting

  • that is a really ugly intro music

  • @ 5:18 She let's out a dorky laugh..

  • Wonder if Apple has filed a lawsuit against using the word "istream" yet ;-)

  • @theslimeylimey

maybe apple is one of the companies that is interested in this car

  • So interesting, I couldn´t stop listenimg and watching...

  • All green car advocates are idiots.

The problem lies within the modern urban designs.

The key is minimizing travel to work, school, and shipping, not designing a perfect car that use less energy.

  • @mercedescl

Explain how that would be easier please, I'm thoroughly interested in your logic on this matter.

  • @Alexhoning This is not a new concept. People built mega commerical and residential towers/complex all the time. You only need to prepackage the job with housing, education, retirement, and health care packages within the same building or the same neighborhood, people who need to commute with cutting in time and distance, thus solving stress and pollution at the same time.

  • @mercedescl

Though, Urban design, as you say, can also be massively improved. Point is, there is no one correct solution, but a "hybrid" of many different aspects, in improvement in anything is still an improvement.

  • @mercedescl So you are saying that every time someone changes their job (frequently these days) they should move?

  • @theslimeylimey no he isn't

  • @theslimeylimey Basically, if you got fried, you leave your position and your home to your replacement. Or if the job growth exceed the building capacity, the grid of housing will be recalculate and spread to accommodate, so that the total daily commute time will be at a minimum for the society as a whole. Of course, it won't cover everyone, but if this plan can cover 50% of the population, 90% of traffic jam can be resolved.

The added advantages is no more housing bubble or expensive rent.

  • @mercedescl interesting idea, only if it would be design for a new metro. i was just wondering that

how would u change the old city plan?

the world capital cities in thesedays are very old city

    such as London ,Paris ,Rome

    There are many beautiful architectures

that u cant change them into modern metro neighborhood like u said.

and u telling me that everytime people changed the job, leave the house?

what if u hav 5 people in the family? its not that easy to move right?

  • @mercedescl In countries that comprise the free and developed world, It is constitutional right that a citizen be permitted to purchase land. Company owned housing would essentially impeach on this right and in doing so, severely limit an individuals civil liberties. Imagine getting sacked and having no prospects...

At the end of the day, this proposal would render a companies employees mere possessions of said company. The prospective outcome is not even slightly agreeable.

  • @scrfce123 I know there will be technical issues such as employee rights, fluctuation of economy and individual industry/ company, and political conflict of interest, but in a macro sense, zoning can be smaller to promote minimum travel and localized business model, individual cities can be more clustered together with condense zone of multiple-layers of commercial and residential. Think of it as turning relatively flat Mexico city into Chicago downtown, or London into the New York City Island.
