and all the stars there are paid for by the studios or the people themselves as vanity stars and a tax write off of course, to the tune of $25K in the old days, now it's 30k for each star, and while the USA media never reported this fact before, NOW the AP does report this fact in all their new star unveiling stories. It's always been a paid PR gimmick, useful PR and a winwin sitauation for everyone as the stars get their vanity, the studios get their audience and the Walk of Fame gets tourists

$15.000 ? i think that is way too cheap .These movie stars , musicians , tv presenters are filthy rich , they can afford $50.000 - $100.000 for a hollywood walk of fame star , in my opinion .

Its a shame isn't is. I cant believe people like the Olsen twins have a star yet a living legend like Kate Winslet misses out. Why oh why. I cant wait to visit the walk for the first time next year, all the way from Australia.
