for the HR proposal, in my opinion, a new recruiting advertisement wouldn't really entice professionals to join. i would suggest putting more attention on e scholarship program to bring in talented n bright students not just from singapore but also other countries like china. a series of rigourous n strict selection based on academics n interviews, should ensure keppel has a group of gifted leaders for e future
@mufanjw That's a great idea! this approach can then free Keppel O&M from the constraints of the local workforce. As the scholarship has its limitations, perhaps it will be better to expand the search to engineering- and/or business- related disciplines of studies. Thank you once again for your comments!
proposal to sg govt for subsidies seems viable given keppel long local history n is a major pillar of growth. but appealing to foreign investors would be more appropriate given keppel is now a global leader in its various specialisations. it will also bring a global attention and grab a wider share of the global market. foreign investors may also introduce foreign talent to come in and share their expertise.
@mufanjw The appeal to SG govt is related to the HR strategy; we recognise that as we recruit more personnel and ensure work safety by training all personnel, we incur costs. These costs are further exacerberted by the local workforce factors: low supply of personnel. Different countries have different workforce environment, and since Singapore is Keppel's headquarters, it seems more pertinent to look towards SG govt for fundings.
a clear n organised way of presenting ur pointers, w a strict following of e flow in e contents page. can describe e "evaluation of alternatives" part more by coming out w a conclusion of the evaluation and explain more, rather den just circling it up. nice idea to suggest a poster to keppel but can improve to make it more attractive. adding to e 2 key targets earlier, can be "green technology" which would appeal to a growing number of customers. plus, ur key recommendation is using alt energies
@mufanjw Thank you for your comments :) We understand yoru concern and will present a more in-depth analysis for future business case(s). As for the poster, we have included a point under action plan 2008, which is to make modifications if neccesary. Next, from our point of view, green technology is not exactly a target; it's an approach that will make Keppel O&M stands out (an icon of non-renewable energy being run by renewable energy!).
very creative way of presenting the various points. background music can be a little softer? or maybe it's just me. >.<
even though i don't know alot of business plans and all, this video is quite engaging. I particularly like the poster and the taglines. :D makes me wanna apply too hehe. (:
