in the book its way diffrent, sam actualy went out with her for a while, in the next episodes they say she wants to die, but in book she wants to couse mayhem.

I was most disappointed with what the writers did for Season 2. Especially when they did not bother to include any Tam in it whatsoever. For instance, the writers didn't have Sam even try to save Tara from Maryann's influence. Also, they failed to have Tara tell Sam about being in jail. How nice of them to have Lettie Mae ask Sam about his relationship with Tara. Outside of that, it was as if Tam never existed whatsoever...something that most viewers enjoyed having in S1.

Speaking of the book, I wish AB didn't limit Sam's powers. He doesn't have to see an animal to change into it. Also he's not such pussy in the books. I hope they man up his character in season 2

prosey81 - None taken. Maryann is a maenad from Greek mythology, they were worshippers Dionysus it's kind of like a demon and they keep pigs as pets. Sam's a shapeshifter that can turn into any animal.

I also heard the producer saying that he ants to stick to the book,n i'm assuming the book did a sookie/bill/sam tri, hich really sucks for me cuz i did love the slightly dysfunctional sam n tara....here's to hoping they will add some spice to the show and try sam n tara.

If it flows like the the book Sam will always have something in his heart for Sookie but a love triangle will develop between Bill, Sookie and Eric. I also heard that Sam is getting a new love which throw a wrench into things. Tara will be busy with her new love. But as someone else said, they shouldn't drop Tam like nothing ever happened.

OK.. but I still think Sam and Tara would eventially endure whatever drama happens around them... Tara might even find someone else first, then turn completely selfish, then realize her demon(s) have changed her, and need dogboy(Sam) to help her out, as you know that Mary Anne and Sam have some sort of history; that is to say that Sam knows she is a demon, and is already planning on doing whatever he can to help her.

Just a theory.

drumjedi - From re-reading my replies to what you said it's seems like I'm becoming anti-tam I'm not but I have this feeling that Charlaine Harris is going to end up putting Sam and Sookie together in the books and I'm just starting to prepare myself so that I won't be too disappointed if that happens in the tv show as well. Sam's love interest is only supposed to be in season 2 for 6 eps so I hope your theory works out and we get some sweet Tam moments at the end of next season!

Tara is a true friend. When she was down no one was around to help her, but Sookie wakes up to her best friend at her side. That's friendship. I like the Tara and Sam relationship but I have to admit Egg is a little interesting as well as Mary Anne. Maybe next season they won't focus so much on Sookie even though I know she's a major character. I would like to see more Tara and Lafayette.

HAZELNUT2DIE4 - When Sookie spoke highly of Sam, Tara probably believed Sookie likes Sam. Tara being Tara very likely doesn't want to stand in the way of what Sam wants. That is why Tara told Sam on the porch that 'he deserves everything he wants (meaning Sookie)' and that 'he's to take good care of her'. Tara made the ultimate sacrifice by ending the relationship right there on the porch.
