  • I don't know what it is about yuko's piano music, but it makes me feel connected in some way to something so much more than myself.

  • very nice)

  • " It makes me feel sad and happy at the same side. " -- super agree :D

  • @parcoleeparco hey pal why did you delete the comment? well, the sound of Sampletekk black grand actually has some resemblance to the German Bluthner, which is very mellow, sweet and natural. thanks for posting a video response to this, you did a great job! btw how big is the vst?

  • @presa1200 sorry for that, because I had just posted sth wrong and when i tried to delete and repost it again, it doesn't work anymore (I don't know if that is the bug of youtube or not) :(

The Sampletekk black grand are all kontakt libraries, and there have 3 libraries: close mic, meidum ambience and full ambience. Each library takes about 6.x GB actually, but so funny, just never over 260MB memory it needs when loaded by Kontakt 4 or 4.1.

  • @parcoleeparco yeah it's some kinda technical defect and i hate it when i post the same comment, don't worry bout that. whoa 6gb that's quite a size for each library. i think you're right, less processing requirement = better performance.

  • @presa1200 for more details of each mic:

    ht tp://w ww.sam pletekk.c om/ bgresource.php

And they have the White Grand libirary too but not Steinway piano, they said that one was designed for pop and rock music:

    ht tp://w ww.sam pletekk.c om/ wgresource.php

The EWQLBS steinway and steinberg the grand for me, I think they are just mixed 3 type of mikings together and some dynamic level compressions when they recorded the samples, just the feeling of my audition. :)

  • @parcoleeparco nice info you've got there i'll go check it out later. besides galaxy steinway i also use Braunschweig Upright by Imperfect Samples just to have a lil bit of "amateur feel", not bad at all. i see, are you using steinberg cubase?

  • @presa1200 Steinberg Nuendo 4.3 as well as my rollers have told =)

and i am using windows 7 because its audio clock timer is really very realtime and "on-time" and it's really sounds good :)

there are 10 patches in each library, and 2 lest size patches which about 14xMB in memory, they just load the highest velocities and lowest vel. only, for e.g. bright piano. And i have used a very good mastering suit which the dither is very crystal clear, even more than the Apogee one

  • Such a beautiful piece :']]

  • Did you apply some effects to it ? I am using this vst instrument but tone characteristic is not like that. I selected surround steinway 24bit option like you, but i cant get that sound. Its more like a simple electronic keyboard piano sound. Please help me, thanks.

  • @umutcan Does your keyboard have touch sensitivity?

  • is there somewhere that i can get the music for this? thanks.

  • Fantasic!!! Do you have the score???

  • unbelievable sound.. as well as the fact that this piece was made by an 8 eight years old girl :)

  • Really amazing , how talented is she :) mashalla ..

  • Magnifique , splendide , Waaa chapeau

    IT's VERY BEAUTIFUL

  • Dazzling for an 8 year old composer! Genius level. Some really got it! Thanks, Johnny Pal

  • (What the.. I also can't read my comments?!? xD definetely weird... But I guess, I'll just trust youtube...)

about the Galaxy Steinway Grand vst: I got few experiences with some piano vst: I first tried those piano vsts for free: definetely the worst thing I've ever heard... (but still my respect for the guys working at free vsts!!!)..

For some days, I used the Steinway piano of the Colossus library, but wasn't really satisfied with it (sounds a bit filtered),

  • later I tried the Art Vista Virtual Grand Piano vst which was a great Improvement (really clear, but still too hard). Later on, I got the chance to test the "Steinberg The Grand"vst (great rival of the vst ure using) and it was simply awesome..

  • haha same here dude, i used to tried them too but the sound kinda brassy, metallic.. i donno how to describe. sometimes i think size does matter, the bigger the sample size the more information it can held. and the quality also very much dependent upon the recording techniques and technology. yeah steinberg The Grand also nice especially if you get used to Cubase, good product from Germany...

  • Now, I'm listening to this song and I must say:

It's the best piano vst I've ever heard!!! sound's crystal-clear, great variety of note attacks!! It sounds so realistic! I've heard the vst even manually supports 5.1 surround sound.. must be awesome.. *jealous* ^^

well , really great, u have got a great vst now!!

  • oh is it? have you ever tried listen those mp3 demos of Ivory Grand/Fazioli and Quantum Leap Grand Piano... i think these are the biggest VST i've ever seen. imagine just install 3 grand pianos already take up 180GB can you believe that? but undeniably those are the best grand piano from Bechstein, Bosendorfer and Steinway as well. i'm looking for a good vst of Bluthner. do you like this brand?

  • yeah that's right, sometimes comments functionality are temporarily disabled. it really gets on my nerves because people can't comment at all. do u still remember the lousy midi sounds back in 10 years? haha...VST not even exists. the most being proud of was the Microsoft SW Synth and it is still the core of music making until now. yeah the Steinway from Colossus isn't that nice, perhaps due to its small sample size and lack of velocity layers etc...

  • oh my.. Thank you so much for this, precious friend!! I'm really glad bout the time I got to know you.. and become good friends!!

This song is really lovely.. It makes me feel sad and happy at the same side. Great arranging! The editing of each of the note attacks must habe been pretty tough, wasn't it? Great job, like always (don't worry bout the background, the music is a''kicking!) .. It somehow makes me remember the beautiful, romantic story of those two characters in FF X ^^...

  • it's ok...good things are meant to be shared. btw i didn't arrange or edit those notes because this MIDI was recorded by the composer many many years ago and i still keep it. i also wish i can play that well. it is nothing if not practice makes perfect. learning piano can be a difficult task, i really admire those people who have natural born talent to become a musician or pianist.. example like you. keep on your great works my friend.

  • oh.. just saw this.. you have the midi of this? Can you send it to me? D: I'm a huge Yuko fan :D

  • and guys please give a comment what do you think of Galaxy Steinway Grand VST? (as used in this song)
