can you still do this with a smaller newborn as long as their neck and head are supported? My daughter is almost 3 weeks old and i had a c section. Lugging her stroller around the grocery store and other busy places is hard work especially since i'm not healed all the way yet. I also want to be able to go on walks with her to get back in shape without her stroller. I live in Hawaii and the standard front cross carry is too much fabric (really hot for both of us).

I like that you say that the way you know it is tight enough is if you let go of the baby and it doesn't fall. :)
