They've got the guitar sound, the feel of the early 90's....but they differ from Verve in that I can't hear a stirring melody here. Not bad, but not great either. I'll listen to some other tunes, maybe they'll change my mind. Or maybe I'm getting old (40). lol

I love this sort of music but I'd agree with a few people who say it echoes some of the 80's and 90's giuitar bands....but hay what's wrong with that.

Made Me laugh when XX won the mercury prize for being err original...its plink plonk music and nearly every track on the album is similar to the last track!
