I love this song and I bought the CD. Little known here in the states. But I have passed the word out. They may have something IF they can sustain the music on the CD in the future.
They've got the guitar sound, the feel of the early 90's....but they differ from Verve in that I can't hear a stirring melody here. Not bad, but not great either. I'll listen to some other tunes, maybe they'll change my mind. Or maybe I'm getting old (40). lol
I love this sort of music but I'd agree with a few people who say it echoes some of the 80's and 90's giuitar bands....but hay what's wrong with that.
Made Me laugh when XX won the mercury prize for being err original...its plink plonk music and nearly every track on the album is similar to the last track!
The Verve? The Music? As fronted by the lead singer from Kings of Leon? Or maybe the lead singer from Creed? It's either REALLY good or crappy as hell. Either way there's a certain "been there, done that" quality to it. Not that almost all pop/rock isn't recycled from something else from the past, just not sure what to make of this.
Now guys, how can you quarrel about art from the heart? Just listen and be humble as long as you get offered the opportunity to. Beauty makes me cry, cause one day it will fade, there's no place in eternity for it.
I keep on returning to this one, very very very great tune, it gives the juice of the moment, no need to be in another moment when this melody turns around, aaahhh what a moving thing, right outta my soul, man ...
I can almost guarantee im a thousand times more intelligent than you are you 'daft cunt.'
All im trying to say is whats new about it? He sounds like a shit version of Ian Brown and the music is just typical boring indie 'lads music' bollocks. They'll be forgotten in a year or two!

A very good friend commented that the style of the video reminded her of "The Man Who Told Everything" by Doves. And I agree, which is certainly no bad thing!! I like how it leaves you to make up your own mind re-the ending to the story. Just like the song, sorry, the tune :-) portrays, we all have the battles between Hearts and Minds. Excellent stuff. A phenomenal song - and a great video too.
Can't wait for the album and the Manchester gig in a couple of weeks.
Cheers!

Bring on Moho in 13 days. Luv, Lefty.x

Awesome track and awesome sound - suppose I'll have to wait another 6 months for the US release and 12 months for some tour dates over here!!!
