Keyblades are picky about there owners. Once Riku gave into darkness in KH1, the only reason the Keyblade was given to Sora in the first place was not because the light inside him. But because of the bond of friendship that resonates between Terra and Ventus. It was the light of a Keyblade Wielder that attracted Riku's keyblade to Sora (as the closest suggestion). If Riku manages to redeem himself in KH3D and Ventus' heart returns to him... Will Sora be left powerless? Will all be as it should?

@soulessphilosopher Sora already won Riku's keyblade over it is now his the keyblade chose him because his heart was stronger the presense of Ventus's heart had nothing to do with it. Ven only gave Sora the ability to weild his own keyblade as well weild Ven's. If Ven's heart were to leave him Sora would on lose the abilty to duel weild.

in case you people didn't know, KHDDD is supposed to be a part of the main story and not a side story like 358/2 days and coded/re:coded. i am posting this b/c ive seen ALOT of complaints about people saying stuff like"not another side story" and i don't want complaints to taint a awesome page about one of the greatest games ever.

@oblivion9923 my main gripe with DDD is the fact that it IS part of the main story. i dont think it should have been put on a hand held because it ties directly to KHIII.

@perkulatur (Part 2 of comment.) KHII's sequel is KH: Dream Drop Distance, which is going to release in 2012 for the 3DS. That game launches us into the final conflict of the Xehanort Saga, which concludes with KHIII.

Right now they are working on Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. Which has been said, leads up to the third Kingdom Hearts. Xehanort is returning and one keyblade master won't be enough to defeat him. So Riku and Sora go to the dream world to complete the Mark of Mastery to both become true Keyblade masters.

The numbers I, II, and III in KH do not suggest "main" sequels in any way. The sequel to KHI is Chain of Memories, not KHII. Those numbers actually mean "stages in the destruction of Xehanort." In KHI, we defeat Ansem, The Seeker of Darkness. In KHII, we defeat Xemnas, Superior of the In-Between. In KHIII, we will defeat Xehanort in his pure form. (Continued...)
