@dustobusto The truth is simple. This game is not the real super mario 2. It's actually a different game also made by Miyamoto called "doki doki panic". Nintendo USA was concerned that SM2 was too much like the first one and too hard for western gamers so they took doki doki panic and replaced the characters with mario characters and called it mario 2. The real SM2 is the lost levels that was released years later. I'll see if I can get you a link.
