  • I remember this show - Bonkers! It was a comedy variety show with the Hudson Brothers and Bob Monkhouse and a scantily-clad blonde who would say in a man's voice, "And now our guest star in the order of his/her appearence." And the ubiquitous wrecking ball that always terrorized Monkhouse.

    Grossly underrated and very funny.

  • I love her voice

  • could she make up anymore lyrics if she tried?

  • I loved Bonkers! ... anyone know where I can get copies?

  • I LOVE Elaine!!!! One of her best and also I KNOW HIM SO WELL

  • Elaine was wonderful, but I think she needs some new backup singers. Those girls can't dance. There's something about them. Can't put my you know what on it.

    Rx 4 posting.

  • I hope you're being sarcastic... those backup singers are the Hudson brothers! They're absolutely hilarious... and yes they can dance!

  • Ha Ha Ha!! Elaine is so funny!!

I Love Elaine Paige, nice to see her rock out!!

    Shake it sister!

  • haha lurrve this!!

  • I loved the Hudson Brothers and yes Bill is Kate's Dad. Mark Hudson did alot with Ringo Starr etc.

  • @catdances Hudson Brothers thought they were the Beatles ha ha. 'So You Are A Star' could have been sung by John Lennon, 'Bernie' was like a Pepper-era epic, it's all there. I bet Ringo had to tell Mark to stop kissing his feet before they started work, lol.

  • OMG! Thanks for posting. Elaine has the most wonderful voice and an amazing sceen presence.

  • OMG a blast from the past! I forgot how much I loved frickin "Bonkers"!

  • i saw Elaine Paige playing Norma Desmond I was blown away by the complexity of her character (not overly psychotic and not pathetic)

  • She was the "Evita" that all other Evitas are compared.

  • I used to LOVE the Hudson Brothers, I don't know who Elaine Paige is though.

  • She's more famous in the West End for her stage work, best known on both sides of the pond for her work with

    Andrew Lloyd Webber.

  • Mainly Cats.

  • She was a little known actress playing bit parts in West End Productions. Her big break came after Julie Covington declined to play the role of Evita which she recorded for a concept album. In a way, as it turned out, Elaine Paige defined and originated the template for the role of Evita on stage.
