  • Man I dig this cat on Rhodes. His ideas are hip. This whole thing sounds great!

  • swinging & flowingly easy listening.great teamwork to produce a version of this calibre.

  • Very hip arrangement of a great tune - the best jazz adaptation of it I've ever heard. Rotondi and Hazeltime are really something else. Huge talent.

  • Very artistically played. Probably the best version of this song on youtube. Very "Herbie Hancock" Rhodes playing.

Is there sheet music for this? I would love to try this on tenor sax.

    Thanks for posting it.

  • Sorry to contradict you, but the Rhodes playing (as well as arrangement) is pure Cedar Walton, with very Billy Higgins-like drum playing from Farnsworth. You have to give credit to the right people. This aside, it´s a great group and a well-played arrangement

  • Ten years later this Dave Hazeltine arrangement still sounds hip. But it sounds better fully voiced on the original version - One For All's 1998 date on Sharp Nine, "Optimism."

  • Very cool!
