In case you don't play a string instrument, we string players don't like col lengo. Seriously, even a slight (and I mean slight) collision against the music stand is enough to shock those girls.

Also, I don't get the meaning of 11 musician concertino... do you mean a solo violin concerto with 10 other musicians?

Even though I am kind of stuck here, I find it very enjoyable, especially the joke-like chracter of the piece.

The concertino requires only 11 musicians. The texture is pretty homophonic in places, I realise, but the 11 different lines are not identical to one another. Moreover, I'm not using the "concertino" title in the romantic sense, it's in the Italian sense, the same as Stravinsky used in his middle period works.

This is why I called it 'Concertino for 11 Musicians'
