That the monetary system enslaves not only those who are citizens of what's left of this nation, but the world. Don't turn the other cheek because it gets uncomfortable, watch the rest, soldier on, and learn so much more.
By reading a bit about the Opium Wars and the East India Company during the British Empire, and reading the excellent "War is a Racket" by Smedley Butler(1930s) we notice the same crap has also been going on before WW2
Also In WW2 someone threw himself out of an airplane without a parachute and survived, I wouldnt recommend doing so though. There probably were kings that were kind but this does not make monachy itself a disireable system because you are at the mercy of the tyrant.
Not seeing work as a chore is exactly the warp zone most workers are in...What is the worth of a human life if we spend our productive waking ours making money for people? We are all negatively affected by money. There is only one Earth and to put paper between a human and what a human needs seems ridiculous no? No one asked to be born. The subjugated life that most live is helping a few live very well when there is enough for all. Where does money come from? Thin air and People in debt.
I think your uncle sounds like a great guy. But the message is that somewhere along the line, in some way, there will be corruption at some level. Whether that be with your uncle looking for the cheapest coffee supplier or with him under-cutting another potential business. It's built into the system.
The idea is, if you enjoy working lots, thats fine. But we really don't need to work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day for just a few perks. The time could be better spent I think.
I think you need to think about this a little bit more. The point of this movie is about how corrupt the banks, government, and "major" establishments are. Like you said your boss grossed some millions of dollars, but was compasionate towards his employees. You see it's when the corporation's whole existence is dirived from profit when it becomes "evil". Also you should know that there is no evil there is only corruption.
