  • one of the greatest influences on death metal.... PERIOD!!!

  • favorite death song.

  • he did not understand anything about the philosophy. The philosophy ... Either you love or you hate her

  • cool watch Chuck is it a Rolex 1:43

  • He had such passion, feel the loss everyone! enjoy the musical memories.

  • this is the best metal of all

  • Such a great musician. The sound of perseverance is one of the most incredible Metal Albums of all the time..

They let him die, because of too little money and his "insurance". These guys should be imprisoned for murdering him =(

  • @klklklklkjlkjjhu Right? even though he didn't have the money and I was his doctor I would of done what had to be done even if it meant I would lose my job. I wish I could just change the fact that chuck and dimebaq had to die.

  • @FirePower3006 makes me wonder how you can look someone in the face and tell them to go die when you could change it all

  • me encanta el metal lo amo ma que a mi abuela

  • i dissagree the drummer from avenged sevenfold died and that band is horrible

  • @theycalledmebob ....and there stil bitching about him.

  • @dethmetalism quoting Avenged Sevenfags "AmG R.I.P. tHe ReV <3 now I'm gonna go hate on music i know nothing about"

  • @theycalledmebob im not completely dumb towards avenged i own two cds and from what i can see its all the whine about now, like the empty drum set at the end of the nightmare video and that new video were the kids are biking around.

  • @dethmetalism to be honest i stopped liking them after waking the fallen

  • RIP chuck

Karmablade= the new hope for Metal

  • he was a Mr. composer!

  • Why do all the best musicians die?!

    Cliff burton

    Chuck

    Dio

  • There is justice. Winerhouse and Kurt Gobang are dead too. R.I.P. Chuck. You were and always will be fucking awesome.

  • It's says evil Chuck what funny, remember his song story to tell

"When you think of me in your

multidimensional mind, try and wash the

"evil" from your mind and open it.

When you taste the truth you will

see like others before me, to you

I am past, a story to tell

    tell it."

  • @Brutalyeah ok ill give it a shot and thanks for the warning but eh i might have a different opinion

  • the bass shreds with awesome power metal should have more bass solos

  • @666slayer666ful

    Listen to Sadus.

But beware, it sounds like shit the first 10 times you listen it. So be prepared for a couple of days of chaos and madness until it gets epic. A song like Images has nice bass stuff, a song like Safety in Numbers is a little less chaotic to start off with.

  • This music lets me feel alive!

  • true...good music n' good scream..miss him.

  • Chuck is the true messiah!!! He died for creating awesome music! Who cares about sins?

  • Great Chuck... I.T.P. is the best death metal album ever !

  • wtf the crowd :s

  • He sounds like someone grabbed his balls !

  • @SlimeBagDarrell Have some respect. Chuck was a great musician and made some of the best music I've ever heard. Take your trolling somewhere else, nobody here takes you seriously.

  • This is one of about five death metal songs I have seen played that sounded better live that the studio recording!!!! All hail Chuck!!!!!! Shivers go down my spine!!!!!

  • Fucking terrible!

  • Is this a joke? What the fuck is up with the singer sounding like someone grabbed his balls.

  • @SlimeBagDarrell

fuck you, chuck is a legend and the best metal guitarist of all time. if you don't like it back off. i'd like to see you do these vocals for entire concerts.

  • such a great musician and great band... The world would be so different now with musicians just similar as Chuck... he's an example of life.-

  • Anyone who speaks German needs to get this book. Death Metal: Chuck Schuldiner, Adam Darski Fenriz, Samoth, Trey Azagthoth, Ihsahn, Glen Benton, David Vicent, Karl Sanders, George Kollias. Good German book about Death Metal except it talks a bit of Deathcore and stupid The black Dahlia Murder but either then that, Its an awesome book

  • @hc6777 How can you think the black dahlia murder is stupid they are the best Metal band out...Your a Fucking Idiot...go listen to five finger death punch or fucking shine down...FAGGOT...

  • @KROONTZ86 Dude his highs are fucking annoying. And the fanbase are a bunch of pussy's. scene kids. emo's so, Why are we even arguing about TBDM on a Death video? Stfu and hear Death, Btw 5FDP is a pretty good metal band so idk what your bitching about

  • @hc6777 I'm not a scene or emo kid and i love The BLACK DAHLIA MURDER....and if you think 5 finger death punch is metal you are sadly mistaken....i believe it is classified as puss music....I;m bitching about people who like shit music and then claim to be metal fans.

  • @hc6777 I agree about the highs, this is why I do not really care for Symbolic or The Sound of Perseverance, I prefer Individual Thought Patterns and before

  • @hc6777 cool, where can i get it?

  • @xDimebladex Barmes & Noble . com Just search Death Metal and diff shit will come out

  • Chuck Schuldiner was the greatest thing that ever happened to the music world.

  • lol, the bass player doesn't play anything Di Giorgio plays on this song.

  • Am I the only one here who envies all these people who have seen Death live?

  • death best death metal band ever, chuck you will always be the best

  • This video is 4:20 fuck yeah. RIP

  • Chuck was a really great musician - but ultimately he was just a human

    R.I.P Chuck Schuldiner 3:30

  • \m/

  • Man..that vibrato at 1:43 is more than perfect....

  • yeahhhhhhhhhh seeeee in to helllllllll chuck........

  • Is it just me or does Chuck look like he's REALLY straining his vocal chords and his head? I know about the whole pinched nerve and cancer/tumor deal but still, it looks like it hurts like a bitch

  • @KissMeImPunk thats because the tumor made it hard for him to do vocals thats why his vocals got higher near the end, because it was easier for him.

  • @drewpontow hey dude can u please explain to me what happened to chuck's vocals please..i do know he had cancer..explain it on my channel

  • If I had one Ioata of chuck's musical genius I would be so happy

  • such a great musician and composer...this was his a masterpiece.

  • u know so much about nothing at....

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hmmmm, sound like Chucks voice is straining in there a bit.

  • Chuck is a master ..

    rip Evil chuck ...

  • The style of Chuck and Trey are very different. I don't see how to compare them other than the originallity of their respective works at the time of composition. RIP Chuck.

  • I beleave that there is no better composer than Trey, but is is good that there are different views. Only because MA is far less melodic, they have Song structures, atmospheric parts and solos in unbeatable stile - for me.

And why shouldnt i compare them? I could also compare Stalin and the Pope if i wanted to. They are both Death Metal Musicians and comparisons are absolutely normal.

    Hails!

  • Actually the Pope deals more in Black Metal.

  • @BlessedAreThe66Sick Trey Azagthoth... A guitarist who never reached Chuck Schuldiner...

Because they both went two different directions in music. Trey got heavier and Chuck ventured more into the progressive side of metal. Both great death metal guitarists, but not the best to compare.

  • Uppsa... I wrote exactly the opposite.

Trey is a genius who makes music no one can copy. The atmospheric Sounds he includes in the Morbid Angel Songs make him stand over all others.

Hail to the Lord, Trey Azagthoth!!!

  • @BlessedAreThe66Sick Definately Something I can agree on. And so did Chuck, except for the fact a lot of riffs written now mirror his. He stood alone in his time, as did Trey.

  • I don't think Chuck ever wanted to be compared to Trey.

As a composer Chuck is far better than Trey, as a soloist they have complete different styles

  • Omg that bassist is a shit, he skipped the bass solo @ 1:30, and a lot of other fills!

WTF even a noob can play it

  • Чак. Земля пухом...

  • @TheRiddaren concordo in tutto! hai perfettamente ragione THIS SONG IS PERFECT RIP CHUCK

  • @hateofgod666 откуда знаете русский?

  • К сожалению, я говорю по-английски

  • chuck was and is the man |,,|

  • I want Dynamo back :( the government of my country........ AAARGHH#$^$%@!

  • jesus christ 3:34

  • @destrada94 he wanted to change death type of singing to a cleaner one.

  • there,s not much headbanging here. nor the stage nor in the crowd. whats wrong wiith everyone?

  • Is it me, or is it his cancer that mad his voice get a bit higher? Or maybe he just turned directions with his vocals. Eh. IDK, but what I do know is that Chuck is a god. No. Not "A" god. THE God.

    RIP CHUCK.

  • yea i noticed it got kinda higher on the last album

  • I doubt it. I've never heard of any relation between the two. It is strange how his voice got higher as he got older though. Usually it's the other way around. Frankly, I prefer his older deeper gutural vocals more. The Sound of Perseverance is a fantastic album, but I really don't care much for his high pitched vocals on it.

  • Bass solo OWNS.

  • funny: it's says evil Chuck, but he was far from evil.

  • yea he was down to earth

and thats wat made him such a cool person

he doesnt act all big shit just cause hes in a band (cough kerry king cough)

i heard he even took his grandma shopping

wat made him unique is that he was so real

  • @receptor24

Yeah, well sadly the uploader is often is dumbass... but thnx 4 the vid anyway

  • They look so fucking epic with their hair blowing in the wind

  • this may be the gayest comment i have ever read in a DEATH video

  • @sideoftheham420 fortunately hair blowing in the wind, although cool looking, does not turn me on. repressing something are we?

  • the crowd are bunch of pussies.

  • Its not fair. One of the greatest musicians of all time dies at such a young age yet michael bolton and kenny g live on. There is no justice.

  • @chunkyass69 It's just as i read the other day:

The Brighter A Candle Burns, The faster it goes out

  • @chunkyass69 fuck those fags!

  • @chunkyass69 what a shitty comment, u don't even deserve to associate yourself with Chuck Shuldiner

  • @chunkyass69 because we're without judgement

  • @chunkyass69 It is fair, and good Chuck was a dumb fuckwad!

  • @chunkyass69 Bill Hicks would happily agree, but sadly he is dead as well...

  • @chunkyass69 Death seems to follow true genius. Kill off the brilliant, and let the lame, commerciallized pop sell outs live on. Chuck, Cliff Burton, Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrel....its sad, makes me weep

  • everyone so fuckin dull and there in the precence of a god

  • This is a great song, its very complex chuck is a genius

  • That is The best Song to open with, with that section at the beginning makes it awesome.

  • I love the main verse. Really, really cool power chord prog and rhythm.

  • The Best Screamer Ever. Death created the bridge of Thrash Metal to Death Metal.

  • Dude... I might end up throwing away all the deathcore music I have made and stick to creating great thrash metal music like Chuck Shuldiner. This song is by far one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • technically they are progressive death metal

  • They're like the Beatles of Death Metal

  • I like that, good analogy!

  • what album?

  • Individual Thought Patterns.

  • it seems like all people want to talk about is how he died, but instead we should be talking about this great human being's life and how he lived it.

  • dude dont forget about his awesome music

  • but he should still be alive today.

  • well spoken

  • @FBDMatt

true very true. Chuck may have died but he left a momentus treasure several of them actually (albums) to remember him by

  • @FBDMatt Sounds familiar... The Last Samurai? :)

  • @Margeraxxx Haha, now that you mention it, it does sound familiar, lol

  • Chuck is fucking god.

  • He had a brain anuresm if i spelld that right and passed away at his mothers. R.I.P Charles michael schuldiner

  • because he had brain cancer. twice. and pneumonia

  • RIP Chuck you are truly missed by all us metal heads. you have inspired generations, and you will always be loved and remembered, stay metal forever, even in DEATH

  • if schuldiner wud be alive i wud have sell my soul to meet him

  • i love how Hes fingers move... R.I.P

  • Bum Bum bum bump budda bum bum bump

  • great!! R.I.P. Chuck

i just started listening to death..i fell in love with it

i wanted to ask..how did chuck die?

  • Good for you darling.

    Cancer.

  • Actually...that's what i thought but he apparently died of Pneumonia brought on by the weakness in his immune system because of the cancer

  • it was brain cancer

you can read about it on their myspace page or even wikipedia

  • Due a cancer... "Schuldiner received a chemotherapy drug called vincristine to help with his therapy. Like most drugs used in the treatment of cancer, the side effects were harsh and weakened Chuck greatly. In late October/early November, Schuldiner became ill with pneumonia."

  • all hail the god of death metal

  • "Do you feel what I feel, see what I see, hear what I hear

There is a line you must draw between your dream world and reality

    The philosopher

You know so much about nothing at all"

This is so true.. What i dont understand though is that Chuck himself was a great philosopher himself.

Chuck aint dead, God just got a bit tired of Randy Rhoads & Stevie Ray Vaughan and wanted a new guitar teacher.

  • Fucking kickass vocals love his shrieks they sound very menacing

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!

  • What a loss of life...R.I.P. Chuck, wherever U are...Fucking great music...

  • Great Song! Also .... Dimmu Borgir was here too in 1998 am i right ?

  • I don't know, if anyone there Realized what a privelage, that show would have been, and was to attend.

  • im sure some of them did

  • nikt nigdy juz nie stworzy takiej muzyki,

    ba..- nawet tak nie zagra!!!

  • I would give anything to watch this guy play live!!!!! This band!!!!

Hail to Death metal father!!!!! R.I.P great schuldiner

  • You can tell how muched he loved performing the music he played.

    RIP

  • ja hoor beste opname in NEDERLAND!!! :D:P

  • his vocals were so much more raw and powerful later than when this album was made r i p chuck u were a metal god!!!!!!!!

  • fuck tumour. let stars live.peace.

  • sehh..!

    death.. lo mej0or

  • This whole concert is just amazing, what I wouldn't give to have been there...

  • Its so crazy, you listen to him talk, then when he sings, blows your brains to the fucken wall

  • Why does he sing at a higher register?

  • One simple answer. This is Death, founders of death metal. If you get know them, you will understand.

  • Why didn't he keep his voice in the same level as it once was though?

  • Because he wanted to change it (?):P

  • Age. =P He said in an interview that it was natural. Sometimes I think technique changes without thinking about it as well. =S

  • Age? If you get older, wouldn't it keep lowering or stay the same?

  • chuck looks like seinfeld höhö

  • just RIP man, i miss listening to death....was one of the best bands

  • I liked Death more with bassists like Terry Butler and Steve Digiorgio. Those were great bass players.

  • Steve Digiorgio is fucking amazing. Individual Thought Patterns has some awesome basslines.

  • you know that isn't Steve at the concert don't you?

  • yes, i know,, someone just commented on the bassists of Death. i wasn;t directly reffering to this video.

  • sorry, I realized that after I posted my comment

  • thats ok =)

  • hello zombie215 im zombie161. nice to meet u.

  • Dynamo!

  • Death and Kreator at the same show? Fucking mindblowing.

  • This is for sure not the best performance of this song, not even close. Their live in japan is alot better, to bad the video quality is shit but the sound is awesome. Also the cottbus live is better than this one

  • publico conchemimare pa fome wn la cagooooooo grande death

  • chuck: the best

  • I miss Chuck's death growl, he progressed to more of a black metal screech, but still awesome music.

  • I like the screech a lot better... a lot fiercer and fits the music better.

  • we miss u

  • man chuck must of really developed a high pitched growl around that time lol

  • chuck is god

  • I can't believe Chuck died broke.. as far as how I feel about the industry going broke?? GOOD
